The dinner was excellent, the service was very attentive. The restaurant itself is large, but still very cozy.

We held my nan’s wake here (19/04), the staff were nothing but helpful and welcoming and it made for a wonderful send off. Everyone got a sit down roast - delicious - with plenty to spare. I had the veggie option with the nut type roast, was so delicious. Compliments to the chef! Thank you

Food was good quality with many vegetarian options, I had the roast with lots of different vegetables accompanying it, potatoes were fantastic! Lots of little nooks in the pub for almost private spaces for a little family or group. Staff excellent. Car park v helpful just remember to register vehicle on the screen as you enter. Will be coming back!

We had a lovely table tucked away in the pub, ideal for my family including dog. We all had Sunday roast dinners and the food was incredible- full compliments to the chefs on duty on Easter Sunday! Overall a good service and attentive staff, will definitely be returning.

First and most important be aware of the car park...you think you are a customer to the pub so free parking and you end up with a 100 pounds penalty. The waiter doesn't inform you you have to register your car ,especially if you go there first time better park on the road then in the pub car park..that for sure will be free and cheaper. It ended being a very expensive place with mediocre food and poor communication. I will never go there

Strongly advise going here if your wallet won't close. £6.40 for a small glass of cranberry juice and a packet of crisps. Nothing wrong with the service but there's steep and there's STEEP. Must be the towie lot driving up the prices. Lucky I won on the masheen to pay for it. 🤣

I don't like leaving poor reviews but have to on this occasion. It's a regular, trusted haunt for us when in the area but service off the scale. Clearly very understaffed on the day, one waitress who performing a cabaret act and a young helper. Order of drinks and meals fine and served timely. That was it. Sat for an hour with our empty plates in front of us. Watched service continuing for other guests. No time for desserts or coffees. We had to leave for other appointments and I was late. The knock-on effect was embarrassing. Can't chance coming back again. Such a pity

What an absolute find, great good, excellent service and fabulous setting

Went for Sunday lunch with family. Starter of calimari was awful, never had calimari like that before...it was just little bits of batter! Sunday roast came up practically cold, had to ask for it to be warmed up. The potatoes were disgusting, I'm sure they were tinned! All in all, not a pleasant experience whatsover. We won't be coming back

when i entered the scenic three jolly wheelers i was welcomed by the lovely and gorgeous liv howe, i then was treated absolutely splendid by liv. the food was so quick, brought to our table by the humble liv and the iced coffee was to die for. thank you to the team and especially liv you’ve got a very good staff member in your mits keep her around.

We were part of a large group of parents and children. The manager and staff were accommodating to our large group, and the kitchen did a great job at getting our good out in good time. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the sunday roast was exceptional.

Have been a regular visitor here for some time but never tried the Sunday Roast before. It was absolutely superb ! Well presented, large portions and a great selection of vegetables with excellent service. I can't think of anywhere locally that can match it.....

Really enjoyed the food. Had a great starter and then a fantastic Turkey dinner. Really tasteful and great portions in the plate. Staff were all very friendly and the waitress who served us was really helpful.

Went in and had a lovely roast, Richard has built a lovely atmosphere, the turnaround in such a short period of time is unbelievable. Definitely would recommend.

I used to love eating at this pub but sadly it has really declined. The staff are lovely and do their best, but 3 of us waited a long time for lunch to be served today and for only two meals to appear, I was advised that my pizza would be a couple of minutes as the oven wasn’t hot enough….sadly when pizza appeared almost 10 mins later (and my fellow guests halfway through eating) it was undercooked and inedible. The staff were quick to offer a replacement and didn’t charge but why would you return based on this experience? Such a shame but even with offers you need food to be edible.

I went to this pub the other day with a group of friends. Our server was a lovely young lady named Liv, she made the experience very welcoming and was very polite. We ordered the hunter's chicken and the fish and chips and it was some of the best food I've ever tasted. The seating by the fire provided a cozy and warm welcome.

What a lovely unexpected surprise me and my kids decided to go out for a meal and have a Sunday lunch and honestly it was amazing . Food was spectacular along with the amazing staff and incredible atmosphere in particular a server by the name of Liv if I’m correct was outstanding with us , service was not only quick but acceded my expectations will definitely be coming back .

Visited today for the first time as i had a voucher for 50% off of mains, when we got there we was told to seat ourselves as it was empty and we wasn’t sure where to go. Food came out Wrong, I was surprised to find a hair on my food, service was so slow that i couldn’t be bothered to bring it up. As we were leaving we had trouble paying the bill and as we left i realised the manager used his own employee 33% discount and not my original 50% discount because he had scanned it once and then closed off the tab due to a “technical difficulty” and had to scan it again but it could only be used once. I myself work in a vintage inn and my manager would be disgusted if we did anything like this. Definitely won’t be returning.

Whilst staying in the Travelodge next door myself and a colleague arranged to meet at the three jolly wheelers for a meal after work. On arrival we was greeted and was told to sit at a table, next thing we was asked to move because we was told to sit at the wrong table which wasn’t a problem we both moved happily, Then while we sat the waiter just stood there and said can I take your order so I politely said we haven’t read the menu yet but could you get drinks please and asked for a Pepsi with no ice and a lager. The Pepsi come full to the brim with ice but I didn’t say anything I just thought the young girl might have had a long day! Then we placed our food order, the young lady asked what each of us wanted then we waited. My work mates food come, i waited then I waited until he had more less eaten all of the meal so then the young lady come and asked how the meal was so we politely explained we was missing a meal and the young lady said you didn’t order a meal so my work mate replied he ordered a hunters chicken before me he 100% ordered food! We then left the restaurant and had to drive somewhere else, not really how we planned out our evening. The service in this establishment is no doubt the worst I’ve received in a long time I wouldn’t recommend this place what so ever. Awful experience.

Quite, clean and pleasant atmosphere for a few drinks with family or friends.

There where 7 of us for a Xmas day lunch. The service was appalling. They forgot to bring a meal twice. The wrong food was served on several ocassions and was missing items. The soup was luke warm and several of the vegetables on the main course where either under cooked or overdone. Butter on bread was served to one of us even though we had stated they were dairy intolerant. They where also served a desert with dairy in it. We have been several previous xmas day lunches and this by far the worst service.

My family and I have had our christmas meal at the Jolly Wheelers and it was excellent. Menu was delicious, portions very generous, and the service and time between courses was spot on.

Pleased to see this lovely pub getting back on track, it seemed to lose its friendly vibe, but after popping in for a pint felt warm and friendly again…. Keep it up

The service and quality of food since the change in management is very noticeable. The pub had declined and it's refreshing to see that they are now putting the work in to bring the pub up to the standards it deserves. Richard and the team are doing a marvellous job. We were given a warm welcome and received excellent attention during our visit. It demonstrates a real effort to succeed. Well done everyone. We will be back. So sad to see the decline of this once lovely thriving pub, been a few times over the last few months each time hoping it will have changed but sadly not. Always seem to be training new staff, limited menu, you order and get told...

I came for a meal with my other half and i was served by Layla and Charlotte ❤️ i want to say they are amazing very attentive and they made us feel special on our special day ❤️ thank you and also thank the kitchen for such a great tasty food ! We will be back!

Unfortunately we travelled 2 hours to be extremely let down. We booked our family festive lunch with you as our local vintage inn is amazing ! Unfortunately from start to finish it was poor. We originally booked festive, no turkey. Not a problem. I ordered the Camembert and mushroom fondue not a mushroom in site 2 lots of chicken strips literally 2 strips each. Soup however lovely ! Time for mains. Pork belly was delicious, lasagne was okay the garlic bread however was a cheap piece of brown bread dripping in garlic butter barley toasted. Fries on chicken burger and snitzel cold. Chicken burger was solid! We decided to skip desserts at this point. Service wasn’t much better. Waited around 4 mins to be spoken to, after 3 girls walked past us. Was sat and had to ask for menus. Drinks took a while to arrive whilst the pub was quiet. Mains arrived before starters had been cleared. Overall a let down. I work as a general manager in the industry so decided not to complain because everybody has bad days and we had already had to listen to a table lay into the manager. I even left a small tip but definitely won’t be returning!

A year ago I would have given average 4.5 stars but over the last few months the pub has lost its "vibe". Many bar staff have left and the few remaining do an excellent job in a tricky situation. Food availability only 75% of what is on the menue. Few Christmas decorations and no trees or lights on Tuesday 26th November. I do hope that things improve as I like this pub very much.

I am sorry to say, nothing was great. Here's a list of the problems we had Upon being seated we were told that ‘due to techmical difficulties, we have no Yorkshire puddings’ Had to go too find someone to take drink / food orders No draught bitter Baked camembert came with paper still attached on the bottom Children’s chicken roast came without a sausage Children’s nuggets came with salad, we had ordered peas 4 adult pork belly dinners came without a baked apple When waitree quizzed she said ‘ it doesn’t come with that’ Asked to go to check and another lady (manager?) came to apologise - ‘we have no apples’ The vegetables so hard they were virtually inedible The roast potatoes didn't look roasted at all

Went last week for a Sunday roast. Booked. Once we got there we were informed they had run out of the lamb and the other meats but we could have the trio,( didn’t fancy a trio) but had it. Ordered sides which came half way through the meal ( and were blitzed in the microwave). The waiter didn’t charge us for the sides. Sad way to end the weekend especially after looking g forward to the roast. Used to go here over 25 years ago whe. It was simply a pub. Should have stayed as a pub. I ignored the reviews and said to my husband let’s go ourselves and see. They were right. Not great at all, there are better places to go for a Sunday roast. Don’t advertise till 7pm when people book at 6pm and you have run out of everything . Should have got up and left

Came here for an impromptu lunch ( forgot it was a Sunday) and had the triple roast. Meats were cooked beautifully and a nice selection of veg really enjoyed it thanks chef chibz and layla for a great afternoon.

We booked a table for 3 last weekend. Shortly before we were due to go they rang to say they had largely run out of food. On a Sunday evening they ran out of food before the evening had begun. How pathetic is that?

Being from out of town me and my friends wen to this pub for the first time. The staff was very welcoming, and Karolina made us feel at right at home, She provide excellent service and made the experice even better! The food and drinks was really good. I would 100 percent recommend!

After visiting twice for just drinks decided we would visit with friends for Sunday lunch and booked few days before at 4pm. Unfortunately even though they serve till 6 30 they had run out of Turkey, beef, cauliflower cheese, burgers and certain veg. . We had roast pork with baked apple. Not bad except no apple which is only served Monday to Friday!I felt really sorry for the staff having to give customers this service. If a pub only takes bookings on a Sunday maybe get an idea of what customers want and get enough stock in. We will still go for drinks though.

Great place for food and drinks. Came a few weeks ago in the evening. Had ordered food with my partner however there were many things that they didnt have on the menu, poor Owen and Karolina had to run between kitchen and restaurant trying to get the updated menus, non stop apologizing to every table for not having more than half the menu! We saw another guy and woman come to speak to them who looked like maybe new owners, but created more of a chaos if anything. Food was very nice once arrived, and drinks were served fast. The new management should organise everything a bit more than to leave their staff struggle like this....

We visited last night, 4/11/2023 as we had booked a table for 2 at 6.45pm. Service was very poor and we got forgotten, so NO food appeared after an hour of waiting. They came and apologised and asked again what we had ordered and at this point we said don’t bother now and came home. Very disappointing. Service was awful and terribly slow, evan when asking for a drink! Can’t really say what the food was like as it Didn’t turn up after an hour of waiting!

Ignored by a member of staff when we arrived so decided to order on the app. Starters arrived before our drinks. Starters were ok. Mains arrived half an hour later before our starter plates were taken away. Had to then ask for cutlery. The vegan burger was overcooked, dry and had no flavour.

The staff were hesitant to accept a meal order for 7 people at 12.45am, citing a big buffet event which might delay order fulfillment in the kitchen. We proceeded to order, we're sat at a nice table and when the meals arrived most were over cooked and inedible or over seasoned with chilli. We sent 2 meals back and were given complementary meals for those persevering with the food, by the assistant manager, who acknowledged the food failed to meet the pub's standards.

Food was only just warm / not presented as stated on the menu / table at the side of us was not cleaned untill I said something when I was leaving, basically no one there but the table was left with plates in for over an hour. This has been my local for 4 years previously and the old manager would not of let this happen. Not impressed

Great food and atmosphere cosy family pub our local!

I booked a baby shower with a friend who works at the jolly’s - Owen who has been very kind and helpful in organising this for my sister in laws baby shower. We confirmed everything a week ago with him and as he was on annual leave he had passed on the message with two ladies who were working that shift one being the wife of the owner. When it came to the day we arrived early as instructed to set up balloons and table etc much to the owners surprise. Once we got in to set up the owners wife Karen I think kept asking us questions in regards to the amount of people coming and how much people for the buffet etc and for a person who’s expecting a baby in 5 weeks to stress over these questions was not appreciated. When it came to settling the tab with the discount we were promised, we noticed the price had gone up from our receipt which we were not informed and to much to our disgust had to pay a bill and blamed Owen the person who had organised all of this for us. Owen if expierenced in his line of work and to blame a person in his pressance shows the type of new management they have and wouldn’t blame people for leaving since they’ve arrived. The new management in the jolly’s have no idea what they’re in for and are unable to manage their current bookings let alone their walk in customers. Use to be regular customer. With family and friends who I now will no longer go in. Food brilliant. Staff not so much

Lovely pub/restaurant, been coming here for years. Bar area is nice with good selection and has front and back outdoor areas. Also, most importantly, it is a dog friendly establishment.🐶 I have visited twice in the last year, and both times when I've ordered food, they haven't had either of my 2 choices. Two weeks ago, I ordered mushrooms for Starter and ribeye steak to be told they didn't have either only Sirloin. I ordered the chicken starter and fish and chips to be told 10 min later at the table they didn't have the chicken starter! Not the end of the world, but they should have known what they have and what they don't have. Wont stop me from coming back as the food is too good. I do recommend this place

Had a funeral wake at this pub yesterday. Charlotte and her team on the day were welcoming, kind, professional and the food was delicious.
