My friend and I visited for Sunday lunch, when we got there at 1.00pm there was one man sitting in the corner reading the paper ( that says it all ), my friend ordered the roast pork without gravy, the waitress came. back and said that she could not have it without gravy as it was frozen with the gravy, most places bring the gravy on the side so she had the chicken. I had the turkey, it was obviously rolled and was tough,the Yorkshire was soggy the pig in blanket was so hard I could not cut it, the vegetables were passable but not good. We did not enjoy it and as soon as we had finished we left. We had thought about going somewhere else, pity we didn’t.

Good and cold beer. Nice pub. Recommended.

Its ideal if you like cold drinks. If you dont like cold drinks then i would recommend going to a coffee shop

You have different places to seat, on the restaurant, on the pub with your dog, on the garden. They are friendly, good price and taste fantastic. We'll recommend

So sad to visit this local pub tonight with our small well behaved old dog - who has previously been welcome. Tonight we had to sit in the public bar - bit basic, full of guys out for a beer…… because dogs are no longer welcome in the saloon bar. Apparently someone complained …. About allergies…. Not really sure. But this venue is definitely NOT DOG FRIENDLY!

I ordered a chicken roast dinner, It tasted like it was deep fried , and cabbage hard , carrots , and broccoli were hard tasteless.also the beef was tough. On the plus side, we received a refund.

Had a fantastic evening with the teachers from Churchfields Primary school. Sarah and her team couldn't have been more welcoming, and this pub is always worth a visit.

Nice quiet Place to share a drink with friends. Staff were friendly and helpful. Went back for a Christmas party. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. The pub was very busy.

Our go to local, the pub landlords and staff are great and always friendly. Prices are good, and there's usually something on to get the locals going. Pub is split in two, so if you're not keen on the entertainment you can usually have a quiet one on the other side. Dog friendly too, and loads of outdoor seating so great in summer. Bonus, Sunday roasts aren't bad - well priced, no nonsense. Nice people you'd want to support and do well 👍

Disappointing Saturday night when we came 8:30 for dinner (kitchen open until 9pm according to the pub's website) only to be told they closed kitchen earlier as "it wasn't too busy" (plenty of people in the pub having a drink though). Left hungry, dry and obviously with not enough time to find a decent alternative.

Just put their prices up... another £1 (approximately) a pint/glass of wine. Really? No wonder pubs are closing at a rapid rate. Bring back the good old times when you could socialise all night in the pub and not feel fleeced at the end of it or the need to go home early because you're skint after a few drinks.

A delightfully half quaint drinkery and half old school boozer. With a nice spice of local charm. Dogs allowed. As they always should be.

Popped into this pub with some family for a spot of food. The original venue we were heading to had closed down. The Cricketers is a nice, friendly place which harks back to what the pubs used to like in E6 where I reside. The food was hot and perfectly fine. The rest of the family thought so to.

Good pub, can't go wrong with A McMullen. Small local pub but decent size carpark and very friendly and good staff. Attended for a Rotary Club darts match. saloon bar very much reminded me of Many Macs pubs in 90's and early Millennium. Pub still has a public bar which is a rare occasion these days. Food is served but cannot comment. Seems to be a very Community and local place.

A great local pub with friendly bar staff

Not too bad, bit of an old man's pub and went to it when the world cup was on and still not much of a vibe to it. Great if you want a quiet drink with a friend and you can chat

The Cricketers is a old fashioned pub, that is generally warm and welcoming, especially since being under new management. However it really needs a makeover and a bit of tlc. Everything is shabby and the toilet facilities definitely need a refurb. The food is very average. It appears that everything is frozen ,and straight into the microwave or fryer. We went for Sunday lunch, which was hugely disappointing. Everything was clearly frozen and reheated, which quite honestly, was pretty inedible. I presume there is no proper kitchen, with just reheating facilities. It’s a shame, because what could be a great pub, is actually a little underwhelming and very very average. We tend to go occasionally for a drink and less often to eat. Would definitely visit more if the food and surroundings improved.. The staff are lovely.

Went for lunch at the Cricketers today with my 90 year old Mum for my Birthday. We both ordered the hunters chicken . Mine was not edible it was crucified part of it I could not cut . Mums was not so bad but not good. Food was served on cold plates . I did call the lady over and told her. She took my food back to kitchen and came back and offered me a free drink which I refused as I was driving .I wasn't offered an alternative meal. Anyway when I went to pay bill was charged full amount! By this time my mum was upset as I hadn't eaten anything. If I had been paying I would have made a fuss but as our lunch was a disaster didn't want to make a fuss. Shocked!!!

Ordered from the menu expecting soup of the day to be fresh soup. It came as Heinz Tomato soup out of the tin, barely warm. Rubbish! And asking £5 for it. Sorry but not having a big kitchen is no excuse.

A warm welcome after lockdown. Visited from South Wales, Sunday lunch was ok, but not memorable. Great pint of Peroni though, and the staff were polite and friendly.

Roast wasn't great. Beef abit chewy and roast potatoes not cooked enough, so abit hard. Good service, shame about roast. My daughter in law had macaroni cheese loved it. Just please cook your potatoes longer.

We visited The Cricketers on Friday evening, 23rd April. Their car park now incorporates a marquee enabling customers who visit the pub to comply with government regulations. Thanks to a sterling effort from the management and all the staff the evening passed off incredibly well.

We decided to visit our local for Sunday lunch as I'm so impressed with their determination in the face of the Covid crisis. Good implementation of the guidelines without feeling restricted. We tried the Sunday roast which I have to say was really good; nice fresh veg, good roast potatoes and the beef was lovely and tender. Nice selection of comforting puds as well. And incredibly good value. I have to say how sorry I am that it looks like they face yet another closure. I'll be queueing up when they next open.

This pub is run by the nicest person on earth cares souch about the customers and looks out for her staff in these difficult times always chuerful. She ferserves the best of evertything

Never met more welcoming staff amongst the pubs i have been at, a very nice place, friendly and vibrant.

Such a shame, some pubs enforce rules like school prefects and some use common sense. A mask for 3 steps to the door to leave is just to ott for me. They don’t even ask if you are exempt. The food has gone downhill as well. I used to think this was the best pub in the world. It’ll probably be flats in a couple of years. Shame as I love all the regulars
