Toby Carvery Snaresbrook in Redbridge

Lovely fresh cooked breakfast. Clean and tidy restaurant. The LavAzza coffee was fresh and tasty. Freshly brewed and replenished all the time. Had a warm welcome and goodbyes. Great car park plenty of spaces.

Lisa and Yasmine, were very welcoming and helped us to our seats quickly and efficiently. Lisa helped us when it was tricky decision to choose a desert she is a lovely asset to your team and I can definitely see leadership potential in her.

Booked a table for two for 1500 online. Arrived on time. Waited 10-15 minutes for a table to be ready. Ate food which was plentiful but tepid. No one asked us if everything was okay (not good). 35 mins had elapsed We took a breather while deciding whether or not to have dessert. The very nice 30 year veteran server asked if we wanted anything else. I asked how long we had. She said she’d ask a supervisor. She returned and told us TEN MINUTES?? There was a group of six who had finished their meal as we were being seated and who were chatting. I have no issue with that but asked why they weren’t being encouraged to pay/leave. I was told a table of six is allotted 2.5 hours. I said that was unfair particularly as everyone gets their own food! I said I’m not going to be rushing dessert to fit into the minimal time allotted to tables for two! I will have dessert at home! According to the Toby website, each table is allotted NINETY minutes and we’d only had half of that! We left but not before I complained to another assistant manager who apologised (good) then told me that as far as she knew no one should be rushed to leave a table. I told her I was made to feel we could not relax, have dessert, more drinks, coffee because we only had TEN more minutes to do it! I bet I know exactly which jobsworth assistant manager made that decision!

Food was ok! Pancakes are not made fresh! Served cold !

Lovely experience, the food was very good and the service was perfect, we have been on several occasions now and it's always the same, friendly, good food at a good price. Vicky and David have been particularly accommodating, great friendly and helpful service.

We had a very enjoyable meal, everything was fresh and the meat was very tender. Our waiter David was very accommodating and friendly and even moved our table to allow for our friends who had joined us later. A very nice experience.

We went on Saturday and Sunday evenings as we were in Loughborough University playing wheelchair basketball and the staff were very helpful and friendly, helping with my colleagues powered wheelchair and on the Sunday we were early for our booking and they still squeezed us in for a carvery

Very good and friendly staff and service. Food was great and of good quality.

Three of us had the carvery, veggie and meat. We all found the food barely warm. The counter in front of the carvery/veg area was greasy and the servery for gravy, etc., had clearly not been wiped down for quite a while. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to complain and restart our meal. Two of us paid in cash, and the waitress did not bring our change to us - even though we had not told her to do so. The Eagle used to be one of the best Toby's around, sadly no longer.

I have always loved a carvery. I had a gastric sleeve so can't eat much. So iv always bought a carvery and took my food away. Iv always explained this before ordering this time I was told sorry no take away. So I did not end up having dinner I bought my partner and kids dinner and drinks and waited in the car.. this is very upsetting

Went for breakfast. £6.99 decent for a buffet. The usual items for English breakfast but added Yorkshire puddings which are delicious and gravey. The tomatoes I did not like as it was just chopped tomatoes not half or whole freshly cut which makes a difference for a full English. Staff very friendly and explained what to do. If you drive make sure at the bar/counter you put your registration to park for free for 3 hours. Refillable tea and coffee.

Arrived at 8:20 for a booking at 9. Took till 8:35 to be seated, took till 8:45 for our server to take orders and till 8:50 to get drinks and starters. Went to get roast at 9:01 to find out that the kitchen was closed. Not one single person at any point told us that the kitchen was due to close our have us a heads up. We were told to go get our roast whenever we were ready. Further added insult was the loaded toasties were rock hard. When we raised the issue about roast availability they said there's nothing to be done, all the food had been disposed of. Not much by way of apology either. Embarrassing for the guests I had with me and insulting to be honest.

As always, excellent food and excellent staff to match. A big thanks to the management and to Toni, David and Charlie who went above and beyond for me from when I started my visit having drinks in the bar area to later having dinner and then to when I paid and left. I usually dine alone but never feel lonely here. The carvery chef was also extremely pleasant to talk to as he was serving me. This Toby is not local to me, and I don't drive so have to do a bit of a journey on public transport to get here but it is really worth the effort and why I come here at least once a week. Can't fault my visit, outstanding from beginning to end and can't wait to come back. Thanks again Toby Snaresbrook.

Always pleasant, welcoming waiting staff and the chefs doing the carvery are friendly and work hard. Food very tasty too and super value.

Polite staff, ample amount of free parking-just remember to register your car when you arrive. They also have a vegetarian option. I made my booking online prior to arrival. I don't think you can ever go wrong with a carvery.

Had their Christmas menu. Would be one back, lovely staff! Food was good, just the lamb was overdone, but everything else was spot on.

I have never in my life experienced what I have today with any business or member of staff who worked within that business but today was clearly that day. I am beyond mind boggled how someone goes about their day being completely self centred that they ruin someone else’s. I spoke on the phone today to a member of staff ( a woman stating she was a duty manager) , I called as I’ve done many times before as on all these delivery sites that deliver Toby Carvery don’t allow customisations on the app which is very unheard of and not modernly updated. However, I call ahead due to allergies and intolerances to customise my order over the phone and I have always had that customisation accepted by every member of staff at the Snaresbrook I’ve asked even with different branches as well. This member of staff decided off her own bat that she was going to make that difficult and didn’t want to hear that this has previously been done many times by those that she works alongside and at other branches, she has created her own policy due to sheer selfishness and laziness and I don’t think that’s okay to not listen to the customer’s perspective or wants or needs at all, and non stop enforcing her own agenda and say so. This needs to be rectified as this order was purposely prepared quickly so that I couldn’t cancel, now this is an order I have now been charged for and won’t even consume because I physically cannot, and I am at a loss not this woman that spoke out of turn on the phone. I have never had this experience before and wasn’t expecting it but this does need to be dealt with and they should be held accountable for their actions. This has left me unsettled, dissatisfied and frustrated, the woman who works here has nothing to lose with customising the order, her attitude from the beginning of the conversation was already dismissive and unhelpful. I have now lost out on money due to her lack of bother and care in my order and customer experience. I don’t even want to give any stars, I enjoyed my other experience with this restaurant chain aswell as this branch but that has come to an end due to a staff members incapability to think of the customer and apply good customer service skills to her daily work routine. This will require some level of compensation on behalf of the restaurant or Uber whomever because this is not acceptable, it has absolutely ruined my ordering experience as a whole and I use these apps for a personal health reason and so when I have to experience these unnecessary and unpleasant events , it has to be met with some sort of understanding and respectful solution.

The food was really delicious and the waiter that served us was very nice and lovely, made the experience ten times better. Especially, the atmosphere was lively and chill.

I enjoyed the red cabbage and range of vegetables. As a non-meat eater I enjoy the range of vegetables and especially look forward to the red cabbage and also the onions. However the vegetables could have been hotter.

Very disappointed !! Cold , overcooked vegetables , stale Yorkshire puddings and yesterday’s Roast Potatoes, can’t eat a big meal due to bariatric surgery , but Head office no longer allow takeaway boxes

Meal and service excellent I Object to being turned off table after 45 mins I am an old age pensioner and did not have time to finish my meal. Going up for,extra veg was impossible.

Food was lovely but no heating the waitress said it cos they get hot running around then said it goes off as we close our meal was 7 .30pm the manageress said I have no idea when the heating came on or went off I was sat by a cold window with condensation dripping down it the lady on the next table had her coat wapped round her i now I have a cold not happy not sure I'll be going again in the winter

I have eaten here a few times and the service is great and the food is really good. I will continue to eat here in the future.

Excellent food reasonably priced

Good food, sides weren't as good as the meat. However, cannot complain as the food was great for the price. Service was above average - did not receive bill after first request and needed to ask twice. However, waitress was prudent in her services during the dinner. Atmosphere was very nice and Christmassy.

Went for a carvery lunch here with friends on 23/11/2024 at midday. As a party of 4 adults and 3 children, we spent a fair amount on food and drinks. Yet not enough it seems, as I have just received a £100 parking charge notice for parking in the car park that is attached to the restaurant! It turns out the parking isn’t free, and you need to ‘pay by phone’ to park in the restaurant car park! Tried calling restaurant / left message but no answer. I’m writing this review so other customers do not suffer the same, or perhaps go to another TC where they do not charge you to park on a bit of tarmac.

Food is very good, meat is not dry (the beef is wonderful). Plenty of different types of vegetables to suit everyone. The staff are invariably friendly. We come back at least once a year when we are on our way to the West End and it is always great. Plenty of parking - just remember to check in your numberplate at the kiosk on the bar for free parking.

Carvery fine and just as expected but just a smidgen under £10 for a pint of (very average) draught beer is rather extortionate.

Another fantastic Christmas lunch at The Crown, Toby Carvery, Bromley with 13 friends. We all had 2 courses at £13.99 each. The food was plentiful, and a great variety of puddings. Service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Look forward to our next lunch there

Food was plenty but very bland and lacked any flavour. Staff were very intrusive. Gave us the bill before it was even requested even though we still had drinks. Would have had more drinks but this put us off and we paid and left.

The restaurant is beatiful and cozy. A little far for anyone that lives or is staying in the central areas, but easily acessed by Tube. But I need to say my most sincere THANK YOU, because I came to London craving to try a typical Roast and Christmas Pudding, and it exceded my expectations! Everyone should try it! PS.: the Roast is served in a lot of pubs and restaurants exclusively on Sundays, but there you can have it everyday! Perfect!

Booked for 4, Saturday at 5pm. not busy BUT managed to have everyone finish our meals with no drinks arriving. Went to bar to ask and then they came incorrectly. Apologetic but not much good. A staff member took the drinks off the bill but what a poor service. It appeared the staff weren't trained. Food was OK, which picked up the score. Would we go again. no.

The lunch carvery was lovely . I'm vegan so would like mash potatos useing plant milk snd Yorkshire useing no egg. Lots of food doesn't need egg or milk so would love to see more food made this way Plant meat would be great too.

The Eagle Pub is a Very popular local establishment with accommodation next to it, with many returning visitors. staff are friendly and polite with plenty of parking at the rear which includes electric points. Food was fine with a good choice of desserts.

Much better than my local one. No chavy atmosphere… tables were cleared promptly and staff executed hospitality perfectly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First to arrive at 9am this morning,food had just been cooked and was very nice also like the cheese,onion and bacon hand-made hash and chefs breakfast Yorkshire puddings with cheese onion and bacon.

I go to this place everytime, several times while I visit London, but this time it was very different. The food was great, but when the server approached me she smiled & all of her teeth were black. it certainly turned me off of my food & at the end, I found a hair in my food. Never ever again.

Excellent value for money and very good food (meat and vegetarian and vegan options) . Fixed price for a good meal and all-you-can-eat vegetables. Soft drinks are all-you-can-drink for a fixed price. And a good range of desserts (not part of the fixed-price menu).

Cider with Wild Berries is the best! 🙃

Went here a couple of times recently, fairly quiet on weekday lunchtime but all good. Served quickly and food was hot and tasty. Reasonably priced lunch.

Spent whole evening chasing staff round the restaurant. Had finished first plate of food and had to go searching for her before we go our drinks. Waitress also had attitude. Huge . Also booked for special occasion (my 30th) and yet … nobody blinked an eye. Wouldn’t recommend.

Not sure what's changed but the service is just inept now. Left waiting ages for your bill then left to wait another age for the machine to be brought to you in order to pay. And then they refuse to honour the vouchers from their own companies apps. So you go there expecting to pay one price (because you have a voucher for bogof carvery- or whatever) and are presented with a much higher bill. Even though you asked how to use the voucher upon arrival. And were assured it was as simple as scanning it with your bill By this point though you are so bored/exhausted/late for whatever you have planned next you just pay so you can leave the place. Food quality is great though

Very Poor Services the member of staff told us that we can sit in the comfortable area with the baby because the pram will be in the way and they put us right at the back in between the till and the main entrance for the chef and all the waitress to bring in and out food which was more dangerous for my seven month old baby As a family, we had to take turns to take him out from there because he couldn’t sleep because of the noise off the plates and the kitchen we couldn’t enjoy our meal the place that we have choice, he will be able to sleep and we could move the pram out of the way hopefully the staff will be training better, so this will not happen to a family with young kids.

After standing at the entrance waiting to be seated for 5 mins while staff walked past, failing to acknowledge my existence, we were told there would be an hour wait to be seated despite there being dozens of free tables.

There was a lovely range of food options, fresh eggs being brought out regularly and someone behind the deck offered to do me scrambled eggs fresh. I was really pleased with the staff and how helpful and attentive they were.

Amazing food as usual and the staff were amazing especially Kelly who went above and beyond during our stay she was brilliant 10 stars just for her.

It is so good. All the meats, vegetables and sauces are delicious and healty. I love the combination of vegetables and meats. The desserts are also nice too, especially crumble.

I am writing to say that I am beyond impressed with the staff at Snaresbrook Toby Carvery. I called on the 8th September after I had been forced to cancel my booking with the Enfield Toby Carvery as they were unable to accommodate my party's need to have a table in a step free area of their restaurant. Despite Snaresbrook being extremely busy (evident by the noise in the background), the staff member on the phone (unfortunately I did not get their name), explained the layout of the restaurant and how accessible it was, stating there was a ramp from the carpark and that the majority of the restaurant was on one level. I asked if they had any availability for that evening, and despite the late notice, they were able to accommodate us and made a note that we must be seated in the step free area of the restaurant. When we arrived, there was a bit of a wait for our table, but again, the staff were so helpful, ensuring those in my party with mobility difficulties had seats while they waited. Our server, Ronan (we think that's the right name - the lovely person from Belfast!), was amazing and very friendly. The food was also delicious. I was extremely impressed at the level of service, and I think my group will be moving my birthday dinner to this Toby Carvery from now on. Thank you to all the staff at Snaresbrook who saved my birthday dinner, ensuring I was able to spend my birthday dinner with my family and friends.
