Toby Carvery Snaresbrook in Redbridge

This used to be my local "Toby" but I moved away a few years ago, today I revisted and im so glad to see its still as great as it always was, Friendly staff, fab food and nice surroundings. A well deserved 5 🌟 from me.

Great choice of meats and vegetables. Also quite a few desserts, but could cut down the chocolate brownies etc. Fresh fruit salad would be good.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and everything is perfect every time, but this one time it was even better because of the chef and carvery that were working on the evening of January 15th around 7/8pm, they made a portion of onion gravy for me as its my favourite thing from here and haven’t been able to have it in months! They were both so amazing and kind made me really emotional but most importantly it was delicious like usual!! Hopefully this can be passed onto them xx thank you

Had a wonderful time and delightful experience at Toby Carvery Snaresbrook. The restaurant serves an excellent roast dinners with all the trimmings including fresh veggies, roast potatoes, and crispy Yorkshire pudding. Additionally, their prices are reasonable, there's a good range of desserts served, and the service is exceptional.

Wonderful meal. Catered for all diets, with a lovely vegan spinach and onion pithiveir and plenty of options at the carvery. Absolutely fantastic service from possibly the friendliest and nicest waitress I’ve ever encountered. Wonderful place to eat enough great food to induce a relaxing food coma. Must try.

We decided to visit Toby Carvery on the spur of the moment. Booked a table, arrived a bit early but were shown to our table on time despite the carvery being very busy. Had a very nice meal and drinks, left pleasantly full and happy.

The Toby Carvery Snaresbrook is an absolute pleasure to meet and have a socialable gathering The waiting staff are friendly and helpful We went for a Christmas 2023 meal on arrival found that we should of booked a table the listing for available tables was full but the floor manager fitted us in even though we had only a short time available to have a meal. The restaurant manager was very accommodating in that we were given a table for a short period of time as the table given was already booked for a sitting but we were still made to feel welcomed The only snag was the overall experience of the meal was not as good as it usually is very small portions of the meat given and the self service vegetables were not very hot as should of been but that was down to the kitchen staff We made a complaint against the standard of the meals and Toby Carvery provided us with a compensation voucher to eat for free

Have eaten here many times. Most of the staff are nice. Have eaten here in groups of 7 and 8 on many occasions. I tried to book by telephone for a party of 8 and was told the maximum was 6. My friend phoned later and was successful in booking a table for 7. Really frustrating when different customers are treated differently by different members of staff. They need consistency.

Went for Christmas dinner, and it was a lovely afternoon. Good food and brilliant happy staff, even though they had given up their Christmas day with their own families to be there, they were helpful, friendly and full off Christmas spirit

Went for Xmas Dinner yesterday, after being left waiting by a senior member of staff for 20 mins, the wonderful Melody went above and beyond the call of duty for us. She really took care of me and my friend. Along with her cheery nature, nothing was ever a problem. A real credit to the team at Toby Carvery Snaresbrook. Will definitely be returning in the future. Use to be a great place, today 23/12/23 after. Along time I came for a carvery, they have became very petty with the amount of meat the cut , it is as thin as a paper , I asked the person and gave the most random answer saying is the rule, it is not like we are begging for meat, we are paying for it . Very bad indeed

Beware of hidden costs. No mention of a price on the menu for Pigs in blankets £3.99 and a large plate £1.99. The large plate includes 2 sausages, apparently. The only other way to get a sausage with your Chrismas meal is to get the Pigs in Blankets. 2 sausages from one large platter, shared between 4 people would be much better value than one portion of Pigs in Blankets. Otherwise, I enjoyed the roast and veg which was good value. It just really annoys me when prices aren't adequately displayed. While commenting - I found the custard a bit too sweet and couldn't taste the rhubarb in the crumble.

I ordered a takeaway carvery . Cold rubbery potatoes and Yorkshire big dollop of horrid cold mashed potato. Sent a complaint. Got back halfhearted apology making excuses. I won’t be going back !! Sadly nor will many of my friends who were disappointed with lack of concern. Why mashed potato in a carvery ??! I suppose it makes it cheaper to produce.

Improvement from last visit. Food was hot service was very good.

The food was nice, I had the cheesy mushrooms to start which were delicious. The carvery was ok, good choice of meat and vegetables but the whole meal was barely warm. I like my meals to be hot.

Review Had a family gathering in remembrance of my grandad and I will say that was the best experience I’ve had at a toby carvery. All the staff were pleasant even though it was very busy enough food and they still have you their time our waiter was great keeping up- the bar staff was happy and cheery (can’t remember his name) and Stephiano the chief that night served us very well giving us his time and not just as another number. Attended mon 4th December Thank you!

Took my grandchildren for breakfast with Santa to Toby Carvery Watford Fabulous service, food excellent. Special thanks to Clare and Jessica who were helpful and very attentive. Would highly recommend it and will be booking again in 2024

A group of 17 of us came for the festive lunch yesterday. Food was delicious everything about it was good. They even seperated the drinks bill from the food bill. We'll be back again in the new year. We've decided now that this is our "go to" place in future.

As expected. No dissatisfaction on the roast meal, although I would have liked to see the Rib Roast Beef return and not what was on offer - that's just a personal preference. Although, I wasn't disappointed on the cut of beef offered. I would also like the website to mention parking payments during the week (I went on Sunday so this doesn't apply to me personally) but I feel it would be beneficial to add these details to the website rather than see meters in place for parking of which you pay by phone. (I understand receipts/refunds are in place for your stay) but parking should be free of charge as a customer. Not placed in the hands of Euro parking. Maybe, this is a "leasehold" property only?

Absolutely fuming went with my sister and 3 grandchildren under 10, so because it's school holidays and Toby had a special kids eat for 1 pound . We let the kids choose what thay wanted and sat down to eat . When we asked for the for dessert menu and I showed the code for kids eat for 1 pound she said the kids have adult plates and that was the policies of the company thay give adult unless stated. We didn't have enough to get pudding aswell but thay are fantastic kids and settled for a ice cream at nannies house instead. Utterly disgusting...

Me and Eugene popped in on by chance on our honeymoon staycation in our mobile home.(i am truely sorry for the little off topic chat).The staff were extraordinary and this is the best toby carvery i have ever visited (i have visited a few) Me and Eugene had a late night wine and roast dinner.The only downfall was you had to serve yourself.This meant i was always up and down and poor Eugene’s back isn’t so good.The wine was not very luxurious but what can you expect at the local Toby.Great night would recommend for your honeymoon dinner like me and Eugene
