The best restaurants serving British food in England

Went today for a Sunday roast.went for the mixed roast at £23.95.what a small portion for the money ! One thin slice of beef that was very fatty & chewy,one thin slice of pork & one thin slice of turkey & few veg & three tiny roast potatoes & a yorkshire pudding,no stuffing or mash as stated & when I asked was told it was cut backs.would not recommend Sunday lunch here,avoid big time !

Fue muy conflictivo y debería replantearse sus elecciones de carrera. Había personal muy agradable que podría reemplazarlo.

Chef needs to chabge the oil more often. Chips was awfully smelling old oil. Also chips weren't tasty. Not a nice place to eat take away from

Awful. Near-cold baked beans, too-small sausages all put on a cold plate. Meal the size for a child. Coffee machines broken.

Friendly staff, good fish, but the chips were soggy / oily and tasteless (cooked to order) Chip portion size not commensurate with price either. I understand fish being pricey, but potatoes? Not the greatest overall, room for improvement.

No se moleste con el menú de Navidad - pavo reconstituido anunciado como recién tallado, NO. Patatas (enormes) zanahorias chirivías frías y fuertes. Salchicha rosada con tocino veteado graso colgando, debajo de la pila de repollo negro. Las coles de Bruselas son lo único comestible en el plato. Café Luke caliente. No como se anuncia en el menú. Sobreprecio.

Mediocre food, unwelcoming atmosphere & no service as they insist you order on the app regardless. Venue closes an hour before the park closes & customers/nuisances are literally turned away in droves.

Plusy - Lokal jest w super miejscu , przy molo w Lowestoft. ( stoliki dostepne na zewnatrz lub takeway - utrudnienia zwiazane z covid-19 ) Smaczna ryba i frytki , doskonle usmazone, odsaczone z oleju. Mila obsluga. Minusy - Kontenery ze smiecmi tuz przy wejsciu. Brudne stoliki. Nielad w calym lokalu. Sosy za dodatkowa oplata. Polecam ze wzgledu na smak i jakosc ryby.

Decided on a regular cappuccino. £3.40 Cup was small and less than half of it was actually coffee. Coffee tasted ok. The rest was froth which tasted nice with the sprinkle of chocolate powder on top BUT I wanted a cup of coffee NOT froth!! No saucer. No teaspoon given to eat the froth and no paper napkin given. I couldn’t find these on the counter for self serve and had to ask for them!!! This was not a good experience. The cafe was not busy by the way. And I’m not surprised. I won’t be going back.

We often go for breakfast at a Morrison’s and this one was exceptionally good. The cafe was clean and welcoming, the toilets were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our food arrived promptly and was hot and of good quality (the yolk of my egg was a lovely rich orange colour). We made the most of the unlimited tea and coffee and, although the cafe was getting busy, we didn’t feel we had to hurry to leave. Our experience didn’t in any way reflect the negative comments of other users of this cafe, and we would not hesitate to recommend it as a great place to have breakfast in Wells.

Advertising themselves as a sports bar/European cup showing pub with flags everywhere. Turned up with several friends to watch a game along with multiple people in the bar, no commentary on the game, only music!!! Several attempts to get the music turned down met by “we have to ask the landlord’s permission”! Crap atmosphere & even worse management. Won’t be going there again.

Visited Chesters for lunch. The staff were all pleasant, After reading through the menu decided on fish and chips [£10.95] and coke. I didn't order the small portion as I was hungry. When it was brought to the table I've never seen such a small piece of fish and queried the portion size as I thought they had brought me the small one. But they hadn't. I can only assume the small size would have been half a fish finger. On paying I noticed they were charging £2.30 for the coke. It had said on the menu £1.95. When I queried the price I was told the £1.95 was for coke on tap and I'd had a can. RIP OFF PLACE [Or plaice}. AVOID

This little restaurant is a hidden gem!! We ate here last night (27th Feb). The lay out of the restaurant is modern and stylish. The waitress Emily was rushed off her feet, but she was perfect and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much for her and she made our evening enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you very much Emily 😊 The menu is on the smaller side but with a time limit I understand why. My husband had fish cakes to start which looked very well presented. He said they were very light and beautifully cooked. We waited 10 minutes before our mains arrived. For mains my husband had a New York burger and I had a chicken and bacon salad. The burger was full of flavour and again well presented. The cheese was melted perfectly and the bacon was cooked just right (not too crispy or undercooked). My husband would have liked more cheese but he does love the stuff. Normally I’m a little worried about ordering a salad because they come with just lettuce and tomatoes. BUT this salad was without a doubt the best salad I have ever eaten!! It had everything you could ask for! The chicken and bacon were cooked to perfection. It was dressed with a lemony dressing which worked so well. I can’t fault it!! It looked gorgeous! I have never had such a lovely salad. Even thinking about it is making my mouth water! I then had a cheesecake, my husband was too full for dessert. The cheesecake came out on a decorated board with lemon and gin coulis stars which made me smile - lovely little touch. It had a delicious crumb sprinkled around the board which gave it that extra little touch. Overall, our dining experience here was 10/10 we will be back again very soon. I hope this gets shown to Emily and the chefs in the kitchen. It was also nice seeing the chefs smiling and enjoying themselves through the kitchen window. You can tell the chefs who made our food really really cared and puts all their love and passion into making the food look fabulous. Again thank you 😊

Bad light lunch. Kept us waiting 1/2 after ordering due to uber order no one told us this was going to cause a delay. Offered Free coffee as apology. Food very quickly cooked and not enjoyable . Other table the same low quality of food.

What lovely people run this chippy, its become my daughter's treat after swimming, the food is fresh , nicely presented and tasty, good value for money. Card payments accepted or cash point next to shop. Highly recommend people try this place out. Thanks guys
