Mila obsluga. Minusy - Kontenery ze smiecmi tuz przy wejsciu. Brudne stoliki. Nielad w calym lokalu. Sosy za dodatkowa oplata. Polecam ze wzgledu na smak i jakosc ryby.

Scott's doesn't look much from the outside in the winter, like most places in a coastal resort. It's nice inside though, staff were friendly, tables clean & tidy. Ordered scampi and chips. Food was hot, good sized portion & nice tartar sauce (was different in a good way).

I have visited this place over many years and all has been very good and offered a range of items on the Menu all very nicely presented and of good quolity. It closed for a while then recently opened up again under New Managemen/owners. It now only offers Fish & Chips, that really are well below standard. Have owned 3 award Fish and Chip Shops, some serious training is needed and a totle review of the business should be conciderd. I called in today for breakfast, the weather was grim, but not as grim as the interior of this establishment. Certainly it's gone down hill. Very dark and dingy, even though it is right on the peir itself, with tremendous views it failed to impress. However the staff are always welcomeing. I had a full English Breakfast and a pot of tea. Very good value and reasonably well cooked by the Young inexperienced cook. Two eggs, one rasher of bacon, two sausage and lots of mushrooms. However l was told they were out of beans! The Cook tried his best, but then spilled it by staking the items into a large soup bowl, very dated, although I have never been served breakfast that way. Mushrooms not quite cooked, plenty and pulled in the centre of the bowl topped with the one rasher of bacon, on top of that two slightly undercooked eggs. With two sausage holing up the sides. I can see that the young lad Chef /Cook was trying to emulate celeberaty Chefs, but it's not needed in a simple Caffee. I guess he was just dropped in there and expected to perform. Give this keen youngster a chance and get him some proper training. Finally apart from the drab seroundings the tables were extremely sticky, my arms readily sticking fast to them. They are all coves with grease, the result of cleaning down with a wet cloth. All these tables that are mish mash need compleatly stripping and revarnishing if not, which would be the best, compleatly replacing. Such a great location, but even in the summer month very quite, which speaks for itself. A near by restaurant The Thatched Cottage is the better option. I hope this review will be taken in the Manor of which it was given. Great Venue, but really does need work. The staff deserve the support as they are very welcoming and are doing there best and are a big asset.

me and my other half were passing, this looked like a lovely spot to stop and have a coffee *the coffee was rather nice and reasonable considering the wonderful view from the restaurant which surpassed its self, we pondered why is it not busier here with such a great view! then we noted that scotts offered chips. id usually have had by buttered kippers but as we had been on a deadline we opted to have chips.. a large chips at 2.50! wow must be a big portion, but no! I was rather annoyed to have a plate brought to me with a small handful of under cooked chips; I asked the man if id infact be given a small chips..... but no.... he said and i quote " ill put some more on there mate" however i was then further frustrated as he topped my plate with small burnt parts from the fryer. a great place for a coffee and wonderful views but dont expect to have a fulfilling lunch.

Possibly the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Tasteless wet fish in a tasteless batter with pale anaemic chips that looked like they had just been reheated from yesterday. This is the second time in a month I thought the first visit might just have caught them on a bad day, but this was even worse. The staff were very nice, but the food was awful. I will never go there again.

In a great location. Sea and beach views but I’d not go there again. A tea and cake pit stop and needing the toilets as these are virtually non existent in Lowestoft. Anyway it’s not a great atmosphere. Silent staring pensioners occupy massive tables as their dogs sleep on the floor. 80s music blares out, “relax, when you’re going to come”, clearly the most inappropriate soundtrack to this bleak cafe. Tea dribbled from a hinged lid tea pot over the table and no amount of stirring, pressing or squeezing could make the solitary tea bag offer more than a light urine colour. I was glad to leave. However the toilets were good as they had soap unlike every other in town

I am writing this having just finished our lunch at Scots on the pier in Lowestoft. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very clean. The food however was beautiful. Gorgeous chips, excellent fish and generous portion sizes. Our sons had sausage and chips and absolutely loved it. So much so that my son insisted on telling them how amazing his food was. For a family of five it was excellent value and great food, definitely recommend.

We visited on Friday 9th August and were so dissapointed. We have been visiting this restaurant for years under its previous name of Nemos and always found it a pleasure. The location is so fabulous and I think the current owners are missing a trick. The menu is very limited, first option was unavailable. Ordered a steak pudding, steak and kidney pie, cheese and onion pudding and a cheese and bacon burger. The burger was enjoyed, but the pies/pudding were hideous. The quality was that of a supermarket value brand, and clearly microwaved making the pastry inedible. Chips tasted as if they had been left over and refried to heat them through. Peas so cold that the butter put on them wasn't melting. All in all not good value or good quality. Shall not be returning.

Once we finally found 3 things on the menu that they actually had, it was mediocre at best. Fish was cooked perfect, but batter was gloopy. Claremont burger was ok. Steak and kidney pudding was tiny, better ones from Morrisons. Milk shakes were warm and served in dirty tin mugs. Tasted like Nesquik mixed in room temperature milk. Busy seafront, but empty restaurant should have warned us.

During the First Light Festival in Lowestoft I visited Scott’s at the pier with my step mother to see an overwhelmed young lady solely handling the customers by herself without any help! After speaking with the young lady, she said she was new and only began Friday - only a day before the festival! This is absolutely disgusting to throw a staff member into this situation. Where were the rest of the staff? Amazingly, despite the poor girl clearly having no time to eat or drink, she remained positive and handled an extremely busy day superbly whilst also rationally handling complaints by customers to problems which were not her fault.

Just went for lunch for Father’s Day really wish we didn’t !! By the way I’m just a working class bloke I’m not posh or stuck up at all and wouldn’t normally complain but in this case I had to!! We ordered 30 pounds worth of food and drinks and when my other half realised she left her cash card at the table she had to go and get it and was told “we have people waiting” like it was a problem!! We’ve just orders 30 quids worth of food!! And then we were told to go next door in the arcade for change so our son could spend it in HER toy machine!!! And also told us to make sure we took the menu back to our table because it makes the place look untidy!!!! And also had the wine my mrs wanted on display but was told we couldn’t have it!! She really was a nasty piece of work. But she had realised she was rude and tried licking our backsides for the rest of the time we were there!! And when the food came it was terrible, I had steak and kidney pie and chips and I swear to god the pie was a frozen pie probably Tesco own brand or something similar it was s..t I was at least expecting a proper chip shop pie for £8!! My son had a burger that could of smashed a window if you threw it at it and my mrs had fish which wasn’t bad but the chips were freezing!! And came with mushy peas when advertised as normal peas. All in all a Terrible experience apart from the lady who served our food she was lovely!! Don’t waste your money for s..t very overpriced food with with a Rottweiler as a barmaid!!!

Popped in here for a warming brew, and left as soon as possible because they were playing old school rap music far too loud for anyone to have a conversation. A quick check of the other customers revealed they were middle-aged women who looked as uncomfortable as my partner and I felt. The only guy behind the counter was too interested in eating his plate of chips and ketchup to be bothered about having a dialogue about the merits of the background music choice, so the cafe was cleared of all customers inside five minutes. Hopefully this current management team will move on to something more fitting and let someone take over who realises a cafe on a pier in an English seaside resort probably needs music more welcoming than a gangsta talking about his b*****s an h*s. Oh, and the teapots are rubbish and they leak more tea onto the tabletop than they pour into the cup! All round hopeless, don't waste your time.

This cafe used to be called Nemo's but has had the benefit* of a considerable refit and now lacks the atmosphere of a 1970's seaside cafe. The amount of seating has been reduced to provide a more relaxed feel and the menu prices increased appropriately. Our most recent visit was at 10.30am on a Sunday, coffee and scone (fresh) for the wife and coffee and sausage roll for me(but no sausage rolls -they had sold the last one on Saturday, but offered to make me a sausage sandwich instead) I rather miss the charm of the old Nemo but the Scott's have spent a considerable fortune on the Claremont site and so I suppose this up-grade was inevitable. Wonder if they will ever open the board-walk?

The lady on the till (who was also serving food) was dressed in a strapped top with her midriff showing - not what you'd expect in a restaurant. We were looking for somewhere to have lunch as we were having a boat trip on the Wavely. Found this place. Well the first thing that greeted you was the smell of chip fat. We did not know the area and time was short, we went in and ordered two jacket potatoes (good quality potatoes however Luke warm on arrival, I also ordered a tea and a black coffee with milk on the side(a simple enough drink), however when it came it was a shot of coffee and a jug of milk I took it back and asked for it to be filled up with HOT water, this again was tepid. by now I had given up. (I will give the girl the benefit of the doubt with Black coffee) perhaps I should have said Americano. Last but not least I asked how much the cake cost (which looked as if it had been in the display containers for a long time) by the time it was passed to three of the youngsters (from me to you a bit like the Chuckle Brothers)!! I gave up. A place I certainly would not recommend.

6 of us dropped in for a drink after the cinema at 22.05 today . Totally deserted except for one customer at the bar. Waited over 5 minutes before the customer offered to find the bar staff. Empty glasses on bar and tables so obviously work to do but no staff. Young lady eventually appeared and promptly said we've finished serving. No apology. I am amazed bars can afford to turn away 6 customers let alone without an apology. Also strange on 2nd July to read Christmas menus displayed around the walls. No idea if these are very early for this year or left up from last year? I've worked in hospitality much of my life and the golden rule is 'never turn away a paying customer' Unfortunately a no stars review wasn't an option. Very disappointing.

Ok a 2 hour wait is totally unacceptable! On ordering I was told that delivery would be an hour, so ok great know, they’re busy, but happy they had told me this. After hour and half called and told , oh yeah your order is here on table, will be there in 5 minutes……….after the initial call, 2 hours later our order arrived, I think a free dessert would have been a great gesture. Our food was delicious though, roast dinner and a burger were tasty but this 2 hour wait needs addressing!
