My late wife and I used to always frequent this cafe and I continued to visit after she'd passed as I'd always been well-impressed. During Covid lockdowns, I lost the habit of going there - but I've been back a few times since and I've NEVER had any complaints at all! It's been a while since my last visit so, out of curiosity, I checked the latest reviews and I was shocked to read such negative reports! I felt these people must be being far too over-fussy, so I determined to go back and see for myself. The place looked very clean and wholesome to me. The trays were all clean. I ordered my food from a very helpful, friendly member of staff, and then went across to the drinks station where everything was spotless, well-stocked and in good working order. The cutlery was all clean and spick & span (unlike some of those bad reviews) and the tables were being cleared and cleaned-off all the time. When my food arrived at my table, the waitress was friendly and polite, as always. The dinner was piping hot, so no complaints on that score, either! All in all, the food was hot, well-cooked and very tasty indeed, and I cleared my plate! I shall completely ignore those undeservedly bad reviews and I shall certainly be coming back here more often in future - and recommending my family to do the same!

This place if so dirty, we did not order and left. Tables full of food not cleaned, glass windows dirty, drink station filthy. God know what state the kitchens are in. The store manager needs to get it sorted

THE WORST MORRISONS CAFE EVER. Only breakfasts available, the ask for Ellen sign was hidden from view. Food was cold or not available. The Lovely girl on the till obviously had learning disabilities she tried her best bless her, but was hopeless. And as for the manager useless.

What a massive disappointment! I went into Morrisons with my daughter as she was hungry and the offer was that kids eat for free with an adult meal over £4.49, I went to go order my food and pay for a Gluten free breakfast - ( No Sausage or bread ) I understand the risks as the kitchen was not a gluten free safe area but I was happy with that, I asked if instead of the sausage could I have just 1 extra slice of bacon as I was not eating the sausage, the manager replied no, which is kind of ridiculous! The manager then told me I could build my own, so I ordered the same breakfast but without the sausage, I was then told my daughters meal would not be free as I had built my own breakfast even though it was over £4.49. Not happy with the service or the poor management service I decided I wasn't happy so I wanted to leave, after saying I was leaving the manager told me my daughter could have the drink she wanted for free, free I said!! so my daughter can have a free drink but you cant swap a sausage for 1 slice of bacon to meat my restricted food requirements, at this point I decided the café was a joke, not only for how I was being treated by the manager who was very rude and not sympathetic to my situation, but for the lack of options, I am very surprised that a pack of gluten free sausages in a supermarket cant be written off to be upsold in the café, if for stocktake reasons 1 slice of bacon cant be given instead of a sausage, then its very condescending that management can offer a free drink even though I was walking out without having paid for a breakfast.

On Monday 26th of June after doing shopping in the region of over £150 , we decided to have a coffee, firstly no staff on hand, so I took a tray , looking for side plates… none ! Cakes and snacks counter almost empty, manage to retrieve two chocolate muffins… continued to pay , and was totally ignored by a young lady twice, on seeing her again in asked if anyone was coming so I could pay… with a grunt, she took for what I had and for the coffee I was about to get , £7 I went to the coffee machine to get two large lattes, mugs available 2 large,a lot of medium size mugs , so I questioned the size , no conversation, she just took the large mugs and slammed 2 medium ones down! Asked for plates, none and again no response, I checked my watch 2.45 and about a doz people in restaurant ! At this time I decided to just go back to the table and join the person I was with, had I remained waiting to see someone to complain our coffees would have been cold. I will not be shopping at this Morrisons again , disgusting rude staff and the muffins were dry and horrible!

No sausages apparently, can they not pop into the supermarket and get some?? The worst looking avocado on toast I’ve ever seen. I didn’t expect an amazing breakfast but I didn’t think it would be that bad.

I spent 5 days in Wells, Glastonbury recently and ended up eating brekky at Morrisons cafe, where I became addicted to the poached egg on smashed avocado on toast! What made the brekky even more amazing was being served by and watching Karli! You could see that she really cares about the clients, and vice versa. Nothing was too much trouble. And her smile and efficiency lit up the cafe area like a torch. You could see that she was making that Gran or GrandPa's day each day with a smile. One in a million that lass! x

Had no option but to eat in the Cafe on one occasion, have to say the food was excellent. Our burger and scampi was better that what we had in one of the pubs in town.

During the Pandemic we have felt safe eating at Morrison's cafes because the tables are spread apart and have screens between them, and the staff follow the Pandemic rules to the letter. Yesterday we decided to spoil ourselves and have the afternoon tea. It came beautifully presented on a three tier stand and was absolutely delicious. As good as anything a 5 star restaurant could produce. Well done Morrison's. It really cheered us up as we are both over 70 and being very careful to stay safe so we don't go out much. Thank you.

30min wait to order my food only to be informed that it was a 30min wait on food. Cafe only half full and plenty of staff so not really sure why things were going so wrong. Adapting to changes in the pandemic are difficult I know. However, this was just badly managed. I felt sorry for the staff that seemed to be lost and unsure of what to do. Then to top it all off the food was cold. So after an hour wait, a cold plate of food, and some poor service I think my days of breakfast at Morrisons are over.

Waited in the queue for half an hour with no social distancing between groups and nobody even trying to enforce that. The cakes and cold food are in an open cabinet, unwrapped for everyone to touch or breathe on them as they queue. When you reach the till you’re told that after a half hour wait in the queue there’s also a half hour wait for food which they could have easily told you as you came in instead. Now I get that changing items on a fried breakfast can be time consuming for the chefs but if you want to change something you still have to pay for the items you’re not receiving. It’s literally encouraging people to waste food which is totally unacceptable. The drinks are self service and the machines don’t appear to be regularly cleaned. The place isn’t even that busy, there’s plenty of staff, but none of them seem to be doing anything even slightly useful. They don’t even seem to know how to wear their masks properly: noses out, breathing all over your food. No sign of gloves anywhere, even when they’re touching your plates or cutlery. Really really disappointed, especially as this place used to be quite nice. You would think at this time especially that they would have upped their game. They’ve had plenty of time to implement new systems that are more suitable. Plenty of other places have managed it so what’s the problem here? Perhaps it’s the manager who wanders around, sometimes cleans a table and only gets 1 in every 5 people to do the track and trace? Whatever it is, this place sucks. Don’t waste your life coming here, you’re better off having tea and toast at home. Oh ps. The food was cold and the tomato had never seen a grill in its life. Enjoy your experience here! 🥰

Service was slow as the staff seemed to want to chat than to serve but when they did serve the were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast cooked well price was better than our hotel that's why we choose to eat there.cafe was clean and tidy.

I visited on Sunday 12th January with my mother and son. After placing our order, i made our hot drinks (hot chocolate and cappuccino) and took the cutlery back to the table. The spoons were filthy with dried food on them! The hot chocolate tasted like flavoured water. The ‘chef’ then came over and informed us that what we had ordered they had ran out of so to choose something else, there was nothing else we wanted so we received a refund and waited on our slices of cake to come out. 15 minutes later we still hadn’t received our cake so we called over the lovely lady clearing the table, she went back to check where our cakes were and returned to say they were sold out too! I then received a refund for those but the ladies attitude was less than helpful! Me and my mother have been regular customers for the last 3 months, after that service we will never return!!

Very convenient location, all in one place, coffee shop, very clean and helpful store. It is brand new.

Have breakfast here most Saturday mornings, service is always slow, which is okay when they are busy, However today customers arriving after us got their food before us, we finally received our food after about 40 minutes, which was not very warm, and although we ordered the same breakfast, we had different items on our plates, didn't bother to take it back as we had waited long enough! Staff told us and other customers to complain as it was just chaotic.

Our usual meal here is the veggie breakfast or egg and chips - and they're both such incredibly good value, and very tasty! A great stop-off before - or after - the shopping trip!

If you want to wait 20-25 minutes for your breakfast, then when it arrives it is cold, you send it back and the second one is just the same then this is the place for you. It is not through shortage of staff as it over run with them.

Had a cooked breakfast here it was terrible. The whole place was not clean enough and there were flies everywhere. We mentioned this but were met with indifference. Breakfast itself was not good with eggs that were clearly not freshly cooked. Overall very bad.

eat here if you want an 1 hour and a half wait and cold food good choice so got my money back as well.

Decided to have breakfast here whilst staying at the Premier Inn across the road. Both had a sausage sandwich which came out quickly hot and on good quality bread. Would certainly use again when next in Wells.

I have eaten here several times, its clean and the food is ok and a sensible price but nothing exciting.

Had a family meal hear and would recommend eating hear. Friendly staff and lovely food at a good price .
