Awful 😖 long wait for food and drinks and well overpriced. Most of the menu was unavailable,had fish and chips that were sub-standard, and cost £17 each . Chippy just up the road 😒 save your money.

A blast from the past, and it brought lots of found memories. Staff friendly and helpful, great choice of food and drink.

where do I begin? terribly dirty rooms clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while, absolutely no room service, kept up all night from people stomping past our room, and a dog HOWLING in one of the rooms. a lot of banging and crashing all night, found a bug on my towel and was bitten by something in bed at night. I feel really bad.

JUST POSTING TO LET EVERYONE KNOW, THIS INN HAS REOPENED.. Lots of people not realised it. Common sense has prevailed on the part of whoever made decision to close it 2 weeks ago. BRILLIANT staff, lovely food, cosy friendly atmosphere. Please let's support it.... I miss my weekend breakfasts and afternoon coffees. :)

We were apparently the first people ever to enjoy the new breakfast menu and I'm happy to recommend. Attentive staff, lovely vegetarian breakfast with excellent sausages. Great value for money, and nice atmosphere in general. Didn't know it's an inn but will keep that in mind! Will certainly go again next time we're in town.

My second visit in the last month and once again a lovely meal. In my previous visit I had the roast beef. Generous portions with beautiful tender meat. On the latest visit lightly battered quality fish goujons. A lovely warm, cosy atmosphere but the icing on the cake the excellent service by Rich, a true asset to the team. His attention to detail is second to none and will definitely return.

Best ham and eggs ever. Very friendly service. Enjoyed the gherkins and quirky decor. Dog friendly too.

Usually one of our go to pubs in Glastonbury, food has generally been on the money for pub grub, service good. Can't fault the service today, as usual. and my wife's falafel burger was great - but the "Whouda" burger? Oh, that slipped up there. Please don't use cheap burgers - I'd rather have paid an extra quid and had something decent. We'll be back, its not a deal breaker, but just disappointing.

Wanted to try the roast / food at this venue for some time. Really pleased we did! Lovely fresh veggies and plentiful too - including gorgeous cheesy leeks, red cabbage, parsnips, white turnip, cavalo, crispy roasties and light n fluffy home made Yorkshire puddings. Tasty gravy and very enjoyable meat - we had topside of beef for 2 an and pork for 1. Delicious crumble n ice cream dessert. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere with very pleasant waiting staff. Will definitely return. Thank you 🙏

A charming pub and inn in the heart of Glastonbury. Owners/operators some of the kindest people ever. A pleasant, quiet room with a view of the rooftops of Glastonbury. Hearty, delicious pub food and the perfect outdoor patio for great conversations with locals. On-site parking for small cars. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return. Thanks!

Terrible experience in this pub yesterday. Had visited here for an evening meal a couple of years ago and enjoyed ourselves so thought on this visit to Glastonbury we'd pop in for lunch. The pub was busy but not full at about 2.00pm. We got a drink and ordered our food and then we waited and waited and waited and waited. After over 20 minutes we asked the very dour waitress could she tell what was happening with our order. She went off but saw she didn't go back to the kitchen and as she was the only waitress servicing at least 20 tables we saw how overwhelmed she was. No wonder she was miserable, unfriendly and unhelpful. After another 10min she served another table near us and we asked for an update on our food and also why we hadn't been told on arrival that we would have a long wait for what was essentially two sandwiches. I asked if the food would come within the next 2 minutes and she told us probably not!!!! At this point we got up and left. On reflection we realised the whole pub was....on a busy Saturday in the middle of Glastonbury.... being serviced by 2 members of staff....a waitress and a bar tender (who was was also servicing tables). We supposed the kitchen had limited staff too. Never going back. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

We went in for drinks. It’s got a nice atmosphere and the waitress behind the bar was friendly and quick. The have a good choice of drinks and serve Palmers 200 which is a firm favourite. Only wish the prices could be lower as it isn’t cheap, nice venue though.

Absolutely amazing roast!!! Roasties out of this world. I had the pork and my wife had the beef and both were lovely. Friendly staff and a homely atmosphere, highly recommend.

The rudest waitress I have ever encountered. We waited half hour for drinks and for the waitress to tell us they didn’t have the food we ordered in stock. We decided to leave at this point where the waitress boxed us in and screamed at us.

Possibly the worst experience I have ever had, what a mistake going here for lunch. It took ages to be served, one poor lady doing her best to serve customers and had to literally run around the premises trying to get around. The food was luke warm, my wife was served the wrong main course (the landlady took our order wrong before then going AWOL), I had the beef which looked absolutely dreadful, and I could not eat it, undercooked veg, all topped off by being given the wrong bill at the end of the meal I would have got up and walked, but that is not our thing. I would have complained, but to who? The poor waitress was having an awful time already. It seemed every table had issues, and we did see some people get up and walk out. I thought when this place changed management it would improve. It has got worse, which is quite a feat. Dreadful.

Had a great night, Caroline,Michael,Rich,Laura and Ruby were so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Ruby was so smiley and polite as was everyone. Great food and hospitality.

Pre booked a table for 4 people for Saturday evening dinner. Ordered 2meals and paid for them at the bar as we were eating outside. Tried to order 2 more meals but the staff couldn’t work out the til. Waited 10 minutes to order the remaining 2 meals. One of these meals were unavailable so ordered a different meal. 10 minutes later the waiter came out to say one of the first meals we ordered was sold out. We complained because we weren’t told at time of ordering. The waiter said he would get the manager. 2 minutes later the manager came out with 3 meals. She offered my friend to chose something else!!! Really ????? Was she expected to sit there while we ate and eat on her own 15 minutes later. Barely an apology and all the manager offered was a refund. The meals we had were terrible, no peas with the fish & chips and potatoes with the fish were not cooked. Nobody came over to ask if our meals were ok and the manager avoided our table like the plague. If we had had a proper apology or offer to refund some of the remaining meals we would have been more than happy. We will definitely not be going back. Staff inattentive and poor management skills. We work in hospitality and customer service so we know exactly how things should be done. Mistakes happen which is accepted but the way you handle it is what makes a good manager. We have approached this pub / restaurant twice. The first time was 2020. We left before getting any further than the bar area as we found the staff unhelpful and rude. We thought, after a number of years, we might try again (mostly out of curiosity and in the hope something might've changed). My companion and I ordered Steak & Ale Pie with suet pastry. which came with a small amount of vegetables and a potato cake. When the waitress came to see if everything was OK I stated that the pastry was very hard - it is made with flour - was her was her explanation for this. I struggled through managing to eat most of the pastry although the crust defined my attempts to cut through it. My friend could eat the meat only, leaving virtually all the pastry. How they had the nerve to charge £15 when part of it was virtually inedible is beyond me!!. No wonder the place was so quiet.Finally the official definition of a "pie" is something completely encased in pastry. What we were served was a slice of a large tart which had obviously been microwaved.;My friend needed to have the over priced sticky toffee pudding (which she enjoyed) as she had eat so little of the main course. Will not be returning.

Incredibly rude staff. Ordered a Guinness, which was £5.70 and the man serving poured straight to the top in one go. I explained that wasn't how you pour Guinness, he ttold me that was how he was taught. I asked for a fresh one he said it will cost another £5.70. Asked to speak to the manager to which he replied he was eating his dinner so no. Shocking service and a terrible pint at an extortionate price. AVOID!!!

Fantastic meal, staff were amazing and attentive.But then we went to the bar to get drinks.The owner had a very poor attitude.She needs to improve her communication skills, I felt belittled and don't understand why she felt she had the right to make me feel that way.

As the title says, hot sunny day thought this would be a nice place to relax, walked in, reasonable service compared to the other reviews but was charged £13 for two pints of Birra Moretti. That is London prices, needless to say we won’t be back if we want to relax.

Rude and dismissive staff. We walked in and felt excluded as soon as we sat down. There were little lights on and when we asked the woman working in the pub told us to use our phone lights. We then decided not to order food due to the service and my sister not feeling too hungry, so my mother went up to the bar and politely informed her that we would be ordering drinks only. She responded by saying “yes, I overheard you.” In an extremely rude tone, followed by “we don’t do table service”, at the point we were already at the bar ready to order. Completely uncalled for and we were so glad we didn’t give them more of our hard earned money.

My partner and I came to this pub specifically to fill a craving for pie and mash. At £15.00 for a pie and mash i was a little aghast but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and we really wanted pie. At that price, I hoped it would be gourmet. However after we had sat and ordered drinks, I was told there was no pie left in stock. It was pretty dissapointing but by that time our stomachs were grumbling, so we thought we'd get bangers and mash as the closest thing. They advertised a marmalade potato cake thing as the accompniment of the sausages and I asked if they could just make a simple mash for us instead. The answer from our waiter was a flat No, delivered without a hint of apology or sympathy. With the sausage meal also priced at £15, I could not believe that there was absolutely no leeway on how we would like our potato's cooked, especially when we were clearly looking for a like-for-like for our preferred dish, which DID come with mash but the pies were out of stock.The only reason I can think as to why such a switch could not even be REQUESTED to the chef, is that all their meals are perhaps the ready kind done in a microwave and so have no room for change? In which case a cost of £15.00 is just daylight robbery. So despite our hunger we got up and left, finishing our drinks in the garden and feeling like whatever we ordered would be a ripoff. I had a look in the kitchen window as we left and it did seem to be setup to pump out microwave meals. Can't comment in the taste of the food because we never got it, but based on the rest of our experience I'm glad we didnt.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night. Family get together for 7 of us. The table was ready for us and the menu had plenty of choices. We had some lovely food and hubby informs me the seafood linguine was the best he'd ever had. Seriously good. We loved our food and enjoyed the ambience. Thank you.

We came in for dinner. The pub is dog friendly which is a great plus for us. We had the roast dinner. It was nice and an ample amount. The price was reasonable and the staff helpful.

I didn't read any reviews before my visit. Big mistake.These people should not be allowed to work in customer facing roles.As we entered and walked towards the bar, a blue-haired barmaid without even welcoming us said "Choose a table, if it's got a blackboard on it's reserved".We looked at the average menu and decided what to eat.I went back to the bar and asked if I could order some food. Without looking up she said "it's table service"I went back to my table and waited... In the meantime other customers came to the bar and ordered food directly. After 10 minutes of no sign of staff appearing to take my order, I went back to the bar and told the lady that we had been waiting for quite some time to order and asked if I could order at the bar... "it's up to you" she replied.I thought stuff this, you're not getting my hard earned with that attitude and we left.Cold, distant, unwelcoming apathetic staff.Take your money elsewhere would be my advice.

Called in for a drink on a hot Sunday afternoon a pint of lager and a lemonade 9.50 what a joke 6.50 for a pint of larger won't be coming back

The landlady was awful and the landlord was dismissive of our complaints. Last week, we walked into the pub with our friend and we joined the queue to order food and drinks. As we got towards the front, the  landlady refused to serve us and then made a big point of trying to serve the people behind us. The landlady angrily said 'I'm not going to serve you now, I'm going to serve the people behind you. You were too busy talking" and ushered the people to come past us. I told her "there's no need for that" and asked why she didn't serve us, she said "well you shouldnt have been talking in the queue". When she came back to us, we made our order, but she was still being rude, hassling us, so we asked to speak to the manager. She said there wasn't any manager and laughed in our face and then said to another colleague 'these lot are giving me ball ache".She came back and said "there you go, bosh!" aggressively banging the drink/glass on the bar.After sitting down at our table outside, another table next to us expressed how unhappy they were with the service.We decided to go back inside. We asked to cancel the food order and have a refund as we were unhappy with the shocking service. They refused to give a refund and the landlord was very dismissive and said "were too busy to be polite" and walked off.We found the whole experience extremely unprofessional and rude. We have never been treated so appallingly before.

Tiny, very tired room & bathroom with leaking tap. Bed extremely uncomfortable and rock hard. Small underwhelming breakfast with boiled new potatoes? Very odd. Paid for two nights, stayed one. Would NOT stay again.

We ate here and the food was awful, staff not accommodating to dietary requirements and were rude and made us feel uncomfortable for simple dietary requests. My son, grandson and I had lunch here. My grandson gave his vegan burger 4 out of 10, my son had a fairly generous veg curry and I had a tiny veg lasagne which was more like a starter and left me feeling hungry. I'll give that a 2 out of 10. Overpriced.
