Nice old pub, looks exactly like what you'd expect a pub to look like, as it should be

We have visited twice but unfortunately both times the food took a long time to come . I don’t understand when the restaurant is quiet why it takes 45minutes for 2 kids meals and a burger to come. The food is of good value especially the carvery.

Went in just friday and saturday only had 2 drinks both beers cold and served fast ,just wished more people had been in on sat night

Great high class bar, great service , nice people in their finery, good selection of beer and local brews, super tidy and clean , will be back for food

Always come here really good food . We had takeaway fish and chips and wasn’t impressed. The chips were burnt looked like scraps

All the staff are brilliant, beers fantastic, foods good and reasonably priced. All the staff are brilliant, especially liz and fee. Best pub in Donny.

Food and staff were lovely, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I was part of a group of 23 who ate at The Hare Hounds today for a birthday bash. The food, service, atmosphere and staff were all 5 star. All the food was delicious and served quickly and piping hot. The service was excellent and the staff were brilliant. Great place to eat and drink and will certainly be back. Thank you

Personal una bolsa mixta, algunos no demasiado contentos de estar en el trabajo, o tienen un nivel generalmente pobre de servicio al cliente. La verdadera vergüenza, sin embargo, es la cantidad de basura generada por el negocio y la falta de responsabilidad mostrada por el lugar. Me siento caminando cada hora - rondas de la zona al aire libre, o incluso simplemente una mejor conciencia beneficiaría al medio ambiente y la vida marina. Absolutely amazing food some of the best I have tasted waitress was lovely with the kids also.

Don’t order the beef burger or the treacle tart. The duck was good. The baileys mousse is like angel delight if you like that kind of thing. The bread starter was good. The squid is too salty and not a lot of it. The service is amateur. There is a good view of the opposing hillside. The restaurant was warm.

Menu is a bit limited but the food was ok, requested hit sauce if some kind and they only do ketchup or mayo which was a bit annoying if you prefer something with an extra kick. They don't do anything on the menu that has any sort of spice just very basic flavours but all in all great service and atmosphere

Lovely meal, hot and well presented. Warm welcome. Fast, efficient and friendly service from Nicky and Keith. We will be back.
