Tut N Shive in Doncaster

I visited here on a busy Saturday afternoon. Sport was being shown on many screens inside the bar. My pint of Yardbird was bang on form. I used my Greene King app, which got me 10% off on "match days". Friendly barstaff and good quality drinks, brilliant!! I will definatley call in again!! 👍

superb boozer , great staff , always friendly and welcoming , great choice of merchandising you can purchase, and a great example of locals raising money for mcmillian charity , truly a gem in doncaster this pub is ! 5 star always

Lovely stone-baked pepperoni pizza for a tenner. Not fat or oily, fresh ingredients, went down well. Highly recommended.

Excellent pub. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Beer is always top notch as well. Big screens for sports.

This pub is great. Dead handy for the station and dog friendly-the pizza looked nice but it was eaten before I got a taste. Really friendly service too

Great pub, been using for a quality afternoon pint for years now. But we didn’t know that I can now take my dogs after a walk. Nice little surprise even though they didn’t enjoy someone’s music choice. Staff as always great as are the prices and quality of beers on offer.

Visited this place recently because friend said they had some comedy on! It was Graham Raynor aka gag n bone man!!! Oh dear, he was terrible! The worst comedian I've ever seen, even the staff looked embarrassed!! Shame because the pub itself and the staff are great.

This is, by far the best pub in Doncaster. Lauren has a great team which is only enhanced by Danny's appointment as team leader. A special mention must go to Fee and Liz, the backbone of this great pub.

Only 1 of the 3 cask beers was on. Music MUCH TOO LOUD. Used to be better. Oh well. Not for us now. Go next door !

Proper old school pub great atmosphere

I had a half pint for £2.05. Friendly service. Free WiFi. They have tvs showing the football. A bit noisy They had 4 real Ales and old Rosie cider on handpump.

The Tut and Shive is without doubt one of the best Pubs in Doncaster. Only thing let's it down is it doesn't sell food.

Update - visited again Saturday 27th January 2024 and it was as good if not better than our first visit the previous year. The bar staff are great - couldn't do more for you and make you feel welcome. Didn't want to leave and if we're back to Donny in 2025, we'll be sure to come back and spend our Saturday with you again! What a cracking pub! Visited afternoon of Saturday 28th January 2023 and were made to feel very welcome. Had a nice table and there was a good atmosphere in the pub with great music playing and sport on the TV's. Great range of beers which were reasonably priced. Didn't really want to leave to be honest, but we'll definitely be back on our annual Doncaster trip...

This pub is by far the best pub in Doncaster. Lauren, in my opinion, is one of the best Managers the Tut has had in years and her staff are excellent. Customers are always welcomed with a smile. Liz deserves a special mention as she's been the backbone of the pub for over 25 years.

Dog friendly:) pub's staff is very kind they bought water for our dog so welcoming and thoughtful of them.The atmosphere is very cool lovely place to hang out at.

Always the first stop from the station on any Doncaster night and a good one.

Quite simply the most unpleasant pub I have been in for a long time. We had one drink and left. It smelt like a dirty mop bucket. Won't be back.

Best pup in donny bar none. Been drinking in this pub for ten years when it was my local and even though I live in thorne now I always try to go in at least once a week. Liz, Josh, Fiona et al are the best at what they do. Friendly welcoming atmosphere, plenty of characters that turn a decent night out into a great night out. Cant recommend it enough. The tut is my home away from home

If you've any idea what 'Tut N Shive' USED to be, whatever town you were in... Just run the other direction. I wandered in, looking forward to a reminder of the good old Rock'n'roll dives of my youth, and was almost physically sick at what greeted me instead! Live sports and obnoxiously repetitive computerised noises where there should be pool tables, grafiti, and live bands. I barely managed to escape without collapsing to mourn the loss...

Busy pub, we called for one at lunchtime on our way to a bottomless brunch.

Loud. Sports. Good beer, but it still smells of stale p***. Not as bad as it used to be but.... **UPDATE** Big shout out to Danny and the staff, they done good, cracking boozer, can get some rowdy A hole in but are soon sorted. Recommended. Upgraded from 3 to 5 star 🌟

Ok, I have always liked this pub. It’s so different from the rest in town and fits my taste in music as it has an amazing jukebox,in fact its the best I know. We popped in this evening as we heard there was a band playing. We did have something on before so missed most of the band but what we did catch was really good. I love that they have live music, so little places do now in Donny. The atmosphere was really good, i believe there were a lot of Morrissey fans in as he had just played at the Dome in Doncaster that night. The 2 ladies behind the bar were working hard and very friendly

Great bar with great beers pity we had to get our train back to Newcastle but we will be back.

Went into the tut n shive today for a few beers with the lads and I have to say WHAT A BAR!!! Football was on all screens the volume was just right and the atmosphere was electric, full of all different footie fans and made for a real good visit, hats off to Danny and great service by liz, we be back real soon

A new barmaid has been employed to the fantastic team. Sarah - friendly, confident and helpful. She knows the job and is an asset to the team. Danny did well employing her.

Visited on Saturday night and had such a great night. The atmosphere was great felt so comfortable. All the staff were amazing and attentive. Will definitely will be visiting again.

Typical Greene King, not a great selection of cask beers and the prices are too high. Whatever they sell here you can buy at Wetherspoons almost £1 cheaper. I will rate it 5/10

Visited last week Fiona knows her real ales as we wasn’t sure what to go for. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The pub is lovely will definitely return

My partner and I love coming here, and it's one of the few places you can get a pint of guinness on draught! Fiona and Heather are our favourite bar staff as they are always super helpful and cheery.

I always have a few here when I'm in town. One of the best pubs I've been to over the years. Great meeting place as well.
