My daughter organised afternoon tea to be delivered to my home for my birthday as a surprise. Stepney Hill weren't really doing deliveries at this time but still agreed to do it as my daughter lives in Liverpool and wasn't able to see me on my birthday. The tea was lovely and the staff went above and beyond to do this for us. Thank you Stepney Hill X

Encantador café para sentarse y relajarse, sin embargo la comida ha bajado colina en mi opinión, parece que no hay suficiente personal y la amabilidad está desapareciendo lentamente, que es una pena! Scones siempre es difícil y no agradable necesita una receta mejor.

Pre match breakfast spot on. Magic seat overlooking the river and the ground. Prompt service, perfectly cooked and friendly.

This is a beautiful cafe set amongst lovely gardens and sea. Not all tables have views but there is the option to sit outside. Staff are polite. However, there are problems with this cafe - overpriced for very basic meals and sandwiches, long waits for food to arrive. Yes the cafe was busy but waiting 30 minutes for a soup and a plain cheese sandwich is not the best. The panini sandwich is very expensive, non heated vegan cheese, sliced tomatoes and a very small basic salad priced £7.70. Vegan choices are not reliable either. Nor are other choices. 1 p.m. no jacket potatoes . No onion for the cheese sandwich. Personally I will be very wary about eating here again and if the cafe is busy definitely not. A very poor visit indeed.

Sadly this hotel is now badly managed, unwelcoming atmosphere and decor. unloved and uncared for. The bare minimum being done. The hotel is not clean. All carpets around hotel not regularly clean. Dining area and bar untidy and dirty. Broken things and random items just dumped around hotel. Indoor/outdoor windows dirty. Only staff there were young waitress, young bar girl and a young cook. Noone in charge and apparently Manager away so told email Saram hotels as they unable to deal with my complaints. I would have asked for money back and left but noone to make that decision!!! Had to endure shoddy place and staff instead. Noone cares what this place looks like. My room not clean and old yellowy stains on duvet cover. Only the view from my bedroom was pleasant.

Service was appalling. Table Service only and bar staff were more interested in having a blether and they had the cheek to add 10% Service charge. Otherwise it seems to be a pleasant restaurant. Bar staff let it down. I think they knew we weren't happy. Second gin was served in a scrawny glass with one ice cube. Decided not to eat here.

Service was excellent, loved the train .. but let down by the food, the 5 bean portion for breakfast, accompanied the smallest mushrooms ever, tasteless sausages and dry bacon…nothing like the photographs….quite why beans were so rationed, was beyond us, as the photograph showed a fair portion of beans.

We called in for a couple of drinks about 6. The initial impression was nice. Greeted, we were asked if we were eating. As we weren’t, we asked where we could sit and as there was only a couple of people sitting at the bar and a family at a table, we were told anywhere that was free. The drinks were standard. We enjoyed our first pint relaxed and chatted. As we were finishing our first drink the barman came to ask if we wanted another and we were served and paid the tab he had set up for us. Before we were half way through that drink and deep in conversation, we were interrupted by a waitress who asked us to move from the table we were sitting at to a table and high chairs where another couple were already sitting at… to join them… as they wanted our table for another couple to eat at!!! It was not reserved when we had arrived. We had been in the bar for approximately an hour! It was incredibly rude and very embarrassing having to move across with our two dogs who were settlled under the table, gathering our coats etc. When I asked if the establishment was a pub/bar, the barman said it was but people were waiting to eat??? The restaurant adjoining the bar was empty! It was a really bizarre experience… Don’t go if you only want a drink… they will ask you to move half way through your drink!! Plus the food we saw coming out looked microwaved or deep fried! Yuck!

Mi pareja y yo visitamos Otley regularmente, y siempre pasamos por algún almuerzo en este pub, ya que hemos tenido muy buenas experiencias en el pasado con la comida, el personal y el servicio. Pero, desafortunadamente tengo opiniones muy diferentes del servicio al cliente como recientemente apareció para algunos alimentos. La comida llegó caliente y como siempre muy deliciosa, al menos hasta que descubrí un PELO en mi comida. Cuando la señora que nos servía vino a quitarnos los platos, nos preguntaron si todo estaba bien y debido a que mi plato seguía lleno, mi compañera discretamente tuvo que informarle del ingrediente extra. Había colocado el cabello en la servilleta como evidencia, y la evidencia estaba envuelta y guardada dentro de un pequeño tazón. La señora del bar se disculpó y nos dijo que hablaría con el chef y momentos después cuando se acercó a nosotros por su cuenta, todo lo que obtuvimos fue "¿quieres una bebida gratis?", a lo que dije que no, ya que siento que habría sido más profesional devolver nuestro dinero para esa comida en particular. Pero mi compañero recibió una bebida gratis, cuando era mi comida que era el problema. En retrospectiva desearía haber pedido hablar con el gerente, o al menos hacerle saber a la señora del bar que preferiríamos una deducción de la factura, pero como me sentía bastante tenso por la forma en que se trató, esto no sucedió. El chef ni siquiera hizo acto de presencia ( sólo para ir al baño ) para disculparse. También me pregunto si fue decisión del chef ofrecernos una bebida gratis y no un reembolso, o de la dirección. O, o, no recibimos una disculpa personal de ellos. Por lo tanto, me gustaría decir a la encantadora señora que nos sirvió, ¡GRACIAS!, porque usted era la única persona que se disculpó y debe haber sido una de esas situaciones muy incómodas a las que hay que enfrentarse. Un mensaje al chef y a la dirección, por favor tómese más tiempo para hablar ocasionalmente con sus clientes durante su visita a su pub. Esto podría eliminar a otros clientes de pago que se alejan molestos y frustrados, sin mencionar la publicación de comentarios negativos. Siempre hemos tenido visitas muy positivas aquí, recibido con una cálida bienvenida del gerente y el personal del bar cada vez - y la comida es preciosa! Pero desafortunadamente, esta vez me sentí decepcionado por el enfoque de servicio al cliente.

What a terrible experience first of all 5 minutes to get seated the twenty minute wait for one can of Fanta then another 10 minute wait for hot coffee we ordered 3 ham and cheese panini and had to wait 1 hour to arrive the another 5 minute wait for fries and the quality of the food was terrible for 21.80 all together NOT worth it
