Has been cleaned up and looks much better. Unfortunately, you can get more than a pint and a bag of crisps here. People were coming in to score and staff are aware. Sitting area out front is nice to people watch and the weird comings and goings in Taddy.

Disappointed. Firstly we arrived, the car park was busy. Seemed people park there that aren't visiting the pub. Very small for the establishment. We had to drive around twice to eventually find a parking spot. Our drinks order was taken quickly and then our food order was taken. Great 👍 The food came. The fish and chips was a good size portion. The roasts on the other hand. Very thin pieces of meat. Large yorkies. OK veg. Now the roast potatoes... I'm not often disappointed by roast dinner veggies. However these roast potatoes were the worst I've ever tasted. My knife wouldn't even cut them the skin was like leather! I have no idea how they managed to get them like that. Inedible! The service was slow and seemed stretched for the amount of tables. We asked for a dessert menu and one was never brought, after finishing our drinks we left without ordering. Would not rush to come back for the food.

The Fat Abbot on the exterior is absolutely stunning. The food, interior and service is somewhat lacking and questionable. It took around 15-20 minutes after being seated to be asked for drinks however, they do serve a great pint of Peroni. After what felt like a long while, they finally took our food order. Our food got served without a smile or even a bit of acknowledgment. We were welcomed with a swarm of flies that pestered us throughout however, this was free of charge and not the restaurants fault…. Fish and Chips had absolutely no taste whatsoever. I usually never leave food however this was so inedible, I had no choice. My daughter, partner and parents all couldn’t finish their food due it it being so inadequate and tasteless. We got Halloumi sticks expecting them to be of top quality given the price however they looked and tasted microwaved. They tasted exactly like the mozzarella sticks from Aldi. I am shocked that such a beautiful establishment with such potential lets itself down with poor service, cheap food and endless pests. By looks of things, other punters have received the same service.

Our lovely friends treated us to this great place on a busy Friday night. From the warm welcome by the attentive, caring staff to the beautiful food this place offered a really good menu that catered for gluten free diners as well. Starters were Yorkshire baby beets, Bang Bang cauliflower and Honey, sliced figs with chicory, all superb. Mains fish and chips, game pie, blackened salmon and steak and ale pie. Nothing left on the plates, says it all So book as it’s a very good, chilled place with a great team of staff. Our first visit, but our friend’s regular haunt. Thank you.

We visited today as a family for lunch, the food was very nice, couldn’t fault it at all. The service however was very slow. The gentlemen who served us was very prompt and friendly, however the lady with the short silver hair serving needs to smile and greet customers in a more friendly manner and look as if she’d actually like to be there.

We have not been for a long time as the three horse shoes went down hill. We gave it a try because it is under new management/ownership. What a difference. The new couple have only been in a couple of months. Now cleaner ,Very friendly and the food 10/10 and not expensive Some of our party had the beef pie ,another the cheese burger and another fishcake and chips .Everything was so tasty. It is wonderful to have a local worth going too

I have previously visited before they change management, and won't be returning after today's vist. Arrived at 12 45pm, was queuing for over 15 minutes as service was so slow. Finally got to till to be told by a miserable member of staff with no smile on her face that they have stopped serving food, no sign anywhere saying the time they stop food service to avoid people queuing for no reason, unles there just having drinks. She then said abruptly "are you having drinks or not." At which point I walked out and won't be returning!
