Great chips sadly that's where it ends...the lasagne looked nice but tastless not to mention expensive so wouldn't bother going again

Friendly pub very well run. Made to feel very welcome even tho I'm from out of town. Thanks to all at the plough.

Had very high hopes but wasn't blown away unfortunately. Food very slow (ok it was a Saturday but nearly 2 hours for mains...) pub is almost completely gone with the focus on food. Bar area tiny and felt a bit awkward stood with a drink. Pizza my son had was heavy and greasy. Food apart from that was good I can't knock that and tbf my son liked the pizza. A bit pricey and indidnt find our table comfortable as a bit crammed in. Staff were friendly enough. I did get some of my daughters muscle juice split over me but they are young kids serving so didn't say anything. Their trying their best. Overall all you have to go and try but for me was a 6/10 and wouldn't rush back but at the same time WOULDN'T say to anyone don't go... The Guiness is good and cold.

Visited this gem on a couple of different occasions with my partner and his family. Everytime the food has been cooked to perfection, we have never had anything to complain about and have always left very very happy and full! Portions are massive for the price you pay and you can tell how good quality the food is. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Very cosy & friendly vibes. What more can you ask for? Will definitely be returning and recommending to other family members & friends!! 👏🏻👏🏻🖤🖤

Starter was great but the pasta was soggy and falvourless. Great place, hopefully we will come back if the main improves.

Absolutely fabulous food, with friendly staff and great service.

We love it here. Food is great however the baby changing is in the female toilets only which makes it difficult if men were in the restaurant alone with baby.

We visited yesterday for a midweek date night. The pub has a really cosy feel to it with the fairy lights, it made you feel right at home. The food was incredible. My partner and I shared a pepperoni pizza, a calzone and some fries and all of it was piping hot and just so tasty. The portions were generous which was really good value for money. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area.

Catch up lunch with my friend. Food was delicious and portion size excellent value. Made to feel very welcome, great friendly and professional service. Enjoyed our lunch immensely and will definitely return cannot recommend highly enough.

We had lunch a couple of times at The Plough Inn and every time the food was out of this world. The prices are a little steep however the incredients are incredibly fresh and high quality, would recommend to anyone to try any dish on the menu, you won't be dissapointed!

We visited here on 6/4/24 due to meeting up with friends, we had heard lovely things but were blown away with just how nice it was! Would highly recommend the lamb 🤤 Infact it was that nice we returned the next day for Sunday lunch which again we were not disappointed. Also the new calzone is a must ooozing with garlic and lots of lovely cheese . If you are unsure on dining here don’t be . You won’t be disappointed ☺️

Have been to The Plough many, many times and every single time the food has been incredible. Great to see a rural pub thriving, and that’s down to the brilliant chef and amazing team!! We often take our dog who enjoys snoozing close to the fire, and more often than not end up there for a few hours! Always enjoy coming here and have told lots of friends and family to try.

To be honest wasn't expecting much but the food far exceeded expectations. Food arrived piping hot, well presented, tasted delicious. Will be back again really soon. Highly recommend giving The Plough a visit.

During todays dining experience at the plough i tried the lamb ragu dish which was beautifully presented as seen in the picture attached with a fantastic portion size . The selection of traditional Italian dishes was fantastic with something to appeal to everyones pallet . The selection of drinks at the bar was fantastic with lots to choose from . I went with a pint of Poretti which was one of the best pints ive had in a long time . As far as service is concerned , the waitress that served me was very attentive and helpful when it came to recommending dishes that she thought i would like . Will Return Again

The pizza was like a decent takeaway pizza but not quite an authentic Italian pizza. According to my other half the Sunday lunch was very nice. The food took quite a while to come and then the pizza needed to go back to the kitchen to be corrected. The staff are lovely but the service was slow.

I’ve visited this place twice (in a week) now. Such a beautiful little pub. Authentic, home cooked Italian food. Very nice to have a proper Italian restaurant so close to home. The prawns in garlic & chilli, amazing. The muscles in chilli / garlic / white wine sauce - incredible. Very rare to get a good, fresh portion of mussels around - so well done!! The rump of lamb was just tender and tasty. The pizzas are fresh, good ingredients and super yummy! The dough is the best! Fresh home cooked fries and amazing desserts!!! Good selection of drinks too. Only slight criticism- it is slightly expensive. Totally 100% worth the money as the food is sensational, but couldn’t go every week.

We have visited the plough inn found the staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I made the mistake this time of ordering soup tomato and basil which was delicious followed by salmon tagliatelle which again was delicious but large portion I had to leave a lot as I was so full I hate having to leave food especially when it was beautifully cooked. I will be back.

We had a fabulous lunch at The Plough. Two of our party opted for meals from the Italian menu and the third the pork Sunday lunch. It was all absolutely delicious. The portions were more than generous. The welcome and service was fabulous. Lovely country pub with a roaring fire. Can't wait to return.

First visit and loved it, Sword fish was cooked to perfection. Lovely young lady, very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous log fire, looking forward to coming back.

First visit today. Nice pub, friendly staff, the food was awesome. I had the rump of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. My partner had the beef lasagne and was v happy with it. Good portions too. Definitely be returning.

A tad spicy for my taste, but good portion size n quality food. Atmosphere score due to us booking a quieter period.

Had a lovely family New Years Eve meal, the food was excellent as were the staff. This was my second visit, had birthday celebration there in November which again was excellent.

Absolutely stunning food! The only thing that dampened our visit was that they didn't have an accessible toilet. This made it a very undignified visit to the toilet for my grandmother and I had to guard the main toilet door so she could use the loo.

The Food was outstanding , my prosciutto pizza was beautiful , my friends bolognaise calzone was sensational . The staffs service was unmatched anywhere else ( and we’ve been to alot of places) . The bars drink selection was wide and varied . Will definitely recommend to friends and family . Will be back again .

Five of us dined here. Our treat. Three of us left a lot on their plate. More was delicious. My husband had the steak and really should have had half tomato andmushrooms to elevate it!!! The others had pizza which they left a lot of!!

Just really good food cooked well. Lovely staff and dog friendly pub. Salmon tagliatelle, seafood linguine and seafood risotto all really well cooked and in big portions. What's not to like?

Visited for the second time today for a late lunch. Food was amazing as were the staff once again. Some may say it's a little expensive however you will not leave hungry due to the large portions of delicious pasta dishes we received. My only comment would be that my parents have recently moved to the area and would thoroughly enjoy it here if they offered a smaller portion for the pasta at a lower cost as most would probably go to waste. I will however be back. Great job guys.

Service was fantastic to say there was 30 of us.The Food was presented well but i wasn't keen on the sauce that came with my chicken, but that's just my taste. The minastrone soup was tastless and that was the same comment from 3 off us who had it

Staff were utterly delightful, restaurant area was nicely presented and clean, food was good, slightly expensive, bit Aspall on tap, so a winner for me. Conservatory would benefit from ceiling baffles to deaden some of the sound bouncing about from the different tables.

Concentrates too much around Italian with a very limited menu for other food. It is a one off visit because of that reason. If you love Italian, then you will probably go back. I can't knock the staff or food we had, but unfortunately my visit was ruined by some of the clientele visiting that evening. This not being the pubs fault in any way. I think they are missing a trick and with a more varied menu, I am sure they would have a lot more re visits from people like myself.

I booked a table for 4 on Friday night and glad I did as it was really busy (always a good sign) The service first of all was excellent. All the young ladies were attentive very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good and all four of us really enjoyed our choices especially the Lamb Ragu. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be paying another visit

This pub is now an Italian restaurant, and what a disappointment it was! I used the loo when I got there, two cubicles both with extremely loose seats, how difficult can it be to just tighten the hinges? My ravioli was a greasy mess, although the taste was nice, but very offputting because everything was swimming in oil. I asked for my side salad without dressing (balsamic) so instead, they laced it with olive oil! No dressing means no dressing. We had difficulty hearing ourselves speak throughout lunch as the music blasting from the speakers was loud and inappropriate for a lunchtime audience. This pub has the makings of a great little venue, but it needs a lot of fine-tuning. No one asked if we liked our food so no one to tell, although someone else was paying the bill so it would’ve been difficult. Won’t be going back.

Just come back from an excellent lunch. The best fresh calamari I've had in a long time, served with a black garlic mayonnaise which I tried and liked but didn't really eat as didn't want to overpower the squid.. The mussels in a tomato sauce with samphire were also delicious. Catch of the day was sole - seasoned beautifully and cooked perfectly with divine crunchy chips to accompany it and a small but delicious salad. We also had the pollo diavolo, which wasn't as spicy as my dad was anticipating but equally well cooked and succulent. We were served by outstandingly friendly, smiling and cheerful waitresses who were able to answer any questions regarding the menu. Was the squid fresh or frozen? It was fresh as was all the ingredients used. Again I cannot stress how good the calamari was - in strips as opposed to the usual squid rings one often finds, and with a golden crumb coating which was crisp and just perfect. I would too full for dessert so didn't bother. I was driving so didn't check the wine list - remiss of me I know. I will be back. In fact next time I think I'll just order 2 or 3 portions of the calamari; it seriously was that good. If you've got half a brain, you'll go there too. Bill was about 75 for us both, so not cheap but worth it. Did I mention the calamari? Seriously, I'm sitting at home typing this with half a mind to just drive back and order another portion...

We have been to the Plough Inn a few times, trying different dishes. The staff have always been very friendly and the atmosphere is great. However we found the food to be quite heavily seasoned. Some of the dishes are very garlicky, and most things are so salty that we struggled to finish the meal. The only other restaurant that we found to be this heavily seasoned is the Cross Keys, so suspect maybe it’s the same chef? Really wish there could be less seasoning so we could taste the food more. We probably wont be going again as we’ve tried enough dishes.

The food was lovely, the service was not so good. The waitress didn't tell us the downloads, didn't know which beers they sold, and didn't know what soda is!

Not a great menu if you love good old English food..great if you love pasta otherwise not much kop beer ok service ok But need to be more profesional and offer a more varied menu including every day food and more reasonable prices..Very disappointed Won't be going back

Nice homemade food just perfect

Went for our 37th wedding anniversary, Turned up to find red roses and candle lit on our table. Food was brilliant, Staff very friendly. Big thank you to Ellie, staff and chief.

This is the second time i have visited, once with my partner and a second with family. The food has been fabulous each time. The cheesy garlic bread is one of the best ive tried (large portion size), soup of the day was mushroom, truffle & parmasean - delicious. I've also tried the aranchini balls and squid for starter, both top! My partner rated the bbq chicken pizza and parmasean chips. Portion sizes are generous. This will be a regular staple for us. Quick service and lovely staff, thanks.

Leeds prices but not Leeds quality or substantial portions. Food nice enough. Our main gripe is that they tried charging us for an extra main dish - maybe thought we wouldn't notice!? When I mentioned this to a friend today, he said the same ring happened to them!!!!

We visited before Christmas 2022 and had severe issues with the food which I addressed with the manager. Having read good reviews we gave it another go. The calamari starter was tasty but soggy. The lasagne was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. The salmon pasta was the main issue. The volume of pasta was excessive compared with the other ingredients. The sauce was bland and tasted as if it had been made with flour and water or cornflour The prawns were missing. We were told it was a new chef who had forgotten to add them. We were brought a bowl of prawns but cooked separately did nothing to add to the dish. We made the waitress aware of our disatisfaction but feel it only right that I now publish my thoughts on our experience. Will not be returning.

After hearing about the amazing Italian food now being served here, we thought we'd give it a go. We went with friends and it didn't disappoint, the food was exquisite! It's not the cheapest ( 5 of us, 2 drinking alcohol the others water and soft drinks, starters mains and 2 desserts, £180) but it is quality, there's the time for a Wetherspoons and then there's the time for something a bit more special. We'll definitely be back, thank you

Great food, great service, wonderful Head Chef!

I've been to the Plough, twice since it re-opened serving Italian food. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the service and qaulity of the food were outstanding. I can't wait to visit it again. The King Prawn Risotto was particularly tasty.

Good find of a modern pub with an Italian twist. Nicely refurbished although double tables a bit small to get your knees under. Food was really fresh.. olives and the foccacia bread were delicious. Steak cooked just right as asked for medium rare and the chicken dish was really tasty. Would definitely go back. The wine was some of the best I've sampled in a long time.
