The best restaurants serving British food in Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Had breakfast here today with my little boy and my mate ( and his dogs ) Lovely breakfast, big portion, lovely coffee, great cakes, lovely outdoor seating area and friendly staff

Couldn't fault the quantity cost or quality. Ordered from the vegan menu chips curry sauce and pea fritter. Only problem was the food wasn't piping hot surprising since it was cooked to order in a deep fat fryer.

We had one of the best meals we have ever had at a pub or restaurant. A great gf fish pie for me and a meat packed steak pie for her.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding at Danby castle (which I assume is a lot of their business) pub is lovely with a good choice of beers, food is excellent I had the fish and chips the portion size was good and well cooked. Room was lovely, bit warm but we solved this for 2nd night by having the blinds shut on the velux windows all day to block the sun out. When we arrived we where shown to our room by who I assume was the landlord who was absolutely spot on throughout our stay as where the staff. Breakfast is a table full of cereals and juices and a choice off a menu with the likes of full English, eggs on toast etc. I had the salmon and eggs which again was very nice. Would definitely recommend booking early if you're at a wedding as I imagine this place will get booked up pretty sharpish

Personal grosero con los peores estándares de higiene alimentaria que he visto. He informado al consejo local y a la Agencia Ambiental. Cómo tienen una calificación de higiene de 5 estrellas está más allá de mí, me imagino que su última inspección fue hace mucho tiempo. Durante nuestra visita, fue extremadamente tranquilo, y al pedir productos específicos del menú, fue como si hubiéramos pedido el mundo. Ojos en blanco y actitud completa. Evitar a toda costa.

If you like lumpy mashed potato, tasteless veg and watery gravy, you will like this place. I have never seen a more sorry looking carvery in my life.

A working lunch at this eateries located in the Crown Spa Hotel. The menu was mainly sandwiches, paninis and pizza. Unfortunately, when our order was ready, we were informed there were no paninis, so it was a bit disappointing. I asked for a gluten free option, which was available and included generous quantity of food. The service was friendly and efficient, and the hotel itself is beautiful.

Well worth the drive for quality fish & chips. We always gets warm welcome and are never disappointed. Keep up the great job you do

My daughter organised afternoon tea to be delivered to my home for my birthday as a surprise. Stepney Hill weren't really doing deliveries at this time but still agreed to do it as my daughter lives in Liverpool and wasn't able to see me on my birthday. The tea was lovely and the staff went above and beyond to do this for us. Thank you Stepney Hill X

Sadly this hotel is now badly managed, unwelcoming atmosphere and decor. unloved and uncared for. The bare minimum being done. The hotel is not clean. All carpets around hotel not regularly clean. Dining area and bar untidy and dirty. Broken things and random items just dumped around hotel. Indoor/outdoor windows dirty. Only staff there were young waitress, young bar girl and a young cook. Noone in charge and apparently Manager away so told email Saram hotels as they unable to deal with my complaints. I would have asked for money back and left but noone to make that decision!!! Had to endure shoddy place and staff instead. Noone cares what this place looks like. My room not clean and old yellowy stains on duvet cover. Only the view from my bedroom was pleasant.

Vaya, este es un hotel precioso, sólo una pena que el Chef Luke Hasty, de Firstwave, se niegue a pagar las 600 libras que debe por el trabajo realizado, una pena absoluta que estuviera empleado o lo siga estando. No me voy Luke. 😁

Visited Orchard Cafe with my sister for lunch on Saturday 21st March and could no believe what we where served. We both asked for a Tuna Melt which we have had on several occasions at Cooplands and has always been good. When it came it was just HALF a sandwich just 1 slice of bread with salad and crisps. We could not believe it. We have never been served half a sandwich before at any cafe. No wonder the place was virtually empty with only a few tables taken. This was a Saturday at 1.30. and should have bee very busy.

Después de ser ignorados cuando llegamos a tomar un café temprano en el día - debido a la recomendación de nuestro amigo reservamos una mesa para una cena temprana, ya que íbamos a ver un espectáculo en el pabellón. Después de un poco de espera, ya que no podían encontrar nuestra reserva, finalmente nos mostraron a una mesa. Unos 10 minutos más tarde volvieron a tomar nuestra reserva. Pregunté sobre la sopa del día - la camarera desapareció durante unos 10 minutos solo para volver y decir que no podían proporcionar comidas longe con efecto inmediato! Ahora solo teníamos una hora para comer antes del espectáculo y nos sugirieron que nos mudáramos al restaurante. A pesar de preguntar por el gerente - que no estaba encantado de hablar con nosotros y simplemente no le importaba. como ya habíamos estado allí 3 / 4 horas sin comida o bebida para mostrarlo nos fuimos. Afortunadamente encontramos un italiano encantador justo al final del camino que a pesar de estar ultra ocupado eran simplemente increíbles. Si quieres un servicio decente con comida decente no vayas aquí. No respetan sus reservas y no tienen ningún respeto o cuidado por sus clientes.

Mi hijo tiene alergia a los lácteos y a menudo tiene que conformarse con sorbete cuando está en una heladería. Truly Scrumptious le dio una increíble selección de helados y coberturas sin lácteos. Normalmente no tomábamos 3 helados en 3 días, pero estaba tan emocionado de tener opciones, ¿cómo no?

Este era un buen lugar tranquilo y soleado por la tarde para tomar el té y la té. El personal fue particularmente útil con los extras necesarios para las necesidades dietéticas.
