We stopped here for coffee. It was extremely popular and apart from good location and allowing dogs we could not see why. The tea was watery, the coffee bitter and the scone grey in colour and dough like (underdone). If not walking you have to pay to park near. Definitely don't go if you don't like dogs. Despite serving staff you have to stand in two queues one to pay and order then another to wait for another server to serve you. Outdoor area for seating available.

Stumbled across this cafe whilst walking along the seafront. The café was quite busy, Whilst standing in the queue, asked a member of staff Carol, if the cafe offered gluten free bread and was it also vegan. She went out of her way to check and came back to us that the wife was catered for. We had two large cups of strong Yorkshire tea (was also able to provide diary free milk) and wife had a vegan cheese and chutney sandwich. It was hectic but managed to find a place to sit and enjoy our lunch with the lovely view of the sea bliss……

What more could you want? Hot quality, tasty, food. You can tell the ingredients are carefully chosen, and it made a change to get a grilled tomato that was actually cooked, and one that someone had not just waved under the grill lightly . This will be our go to place when we are in Scarborough now . Our table faced the sea and insure. We had a lovely view.

The chips with cheese and bacon was lovely. The staff very nice, the only downer was the male toilet - take a nose clip or some fresh air spray!

Really disappointing experience. They’ve packed in too many tables and chairs and they can’t cope when the place is busy. Stood in the queue and the man serving stood chatting to the people in front of me for about 5 minutes after they’d placed their order (they were not talking about anything relevant). Wasn’t friendly and didn’t explain that we had to get the condiments/cutlery ourselves. Forgot to bring 2 coffees and had to wait 15 mins in the queue again to remind them as no one to ask. The tables were dirty and the whole place was just claustrophobic and chaotic. The actual food was really nice but I wouldn’t return even for a coffee, too stressful an experience and lacking in customer service.

Wow, first visit and very impressed. Will definitely come again. Full English, piping hot, looked and tasted beatififul. Great coffee and excellent value, our cockapoo was welcomed with biscuits. Keep up the good work guys, 👏

Stopped in Scarborough for lunch and found this cafe. At this time of year, there is free parking which was an added bonus. We received a warm welcome and had a lovely table beside a warm fire and lovely views out to the sea and coastline. The drinks were exceedingly nice, hot chocolate with little flake was the best and mocha was delicious. We had scampi and chips and also a smoked salmon and prawn salad. Portions were very generous and food was well presented, very fresh and amazing. A brilliant find.

Dog friendly, good gluten free choices. Really friendly service. Great choice of food. The whole place has a nice feel about it. Highly recommended. Disabled parking right outside.

Honestly this place should be avoided on a weekend clearly! We travelled from Bridlington because we saw a couple of good reviews on Facebook,wish we hadn’t. I had to stand in a queue for 15 minutes which was a joke in itself….To then get to the counter and ask for 2 breakfasts priced at £11.95 each to be told there wasn’t any mushrooms or hash browns for the breakfasts as the fryers were broken..I said that I’d waited too long to change my mind and went with it anyway..We asked for black pudding on both to replace the missing items which was apparently fine. I got our hot drinks and sat down,no spoons for the drinks..So I went up to the counter to ask for sugar and spoons and I literally had a woman just point at the condiments counter. Ok. I’ll just get them myself and presume you’re pointing me in the right direction and not into a wall which is probably what I’d have rather done to be honest. We sat down,waited another 15 minutes,our breakfasts came….Toast was more like warm bread,butter only in the middle and 4 items missing off each….No hash browns or mushrooms like stated but no black pudding or tomatoes either lol..The bacon was supposed to be well done it came like it had a minute on each side and the sausages were so so pale I wondered if they’d just come in from the pig..I asked for the tomatoes and black pudding and apparently they couldn’t do black pudding either as the fryers were broken….Mint. So the tomatoes? Or the cook must have forgotten them….I asked for some fresh toast and 10 minutes later I was still waiting..I literally had an egg,2 bacon medallions and a sausage and it cost me £12! Never again. The service was really unprofessional. The waitresses should have been informing the customers as they come in about their little broken fryer problem so that people could decide what they wanted instead of them having to wait in a stupidly massive queue with one person serving to then be told they can’t have what they want…Surely that’s just common sense? The food was shocking. I get it was busy and trust me,I know what it’s like to work in a busy kitchen. But the organisation and problems that occurred today was really shabby. Definitely won’t be returning….If I had had half the energy I have writing this now earlier,I would have have been asking for a refund but I couldn’t wait to leave. PS I’m all for dog friendly places too but the waitresses stroking the dogs and letting them lick them and them not washing their hands before serving food really is something that needs a little work on. Also the leaking roof that was dripping water all over the place,might need fixing.

Very slow service. Disorganised and not friendly. The place is grubby, seats are torn and tables sticky. Took 15 mins to ger two drinks whilst staff were busy chatting. What has happened to this place? Used to be great.

We chose this spot as the reviews for breakfast were really good. We were staying in a hotel nearby and didn't fancy their breakfast - on hind sight should have eaten in the hotel as got more for your money and good food too! Prices are on the higher side but I think you're paying for the view mainly here. Parking is chargeable out front of here and if sitting outside parked cars can spoil the view you're paying for. Particularly vans! You can tell the food is local produce and more than likely from local butchers/farms etc. Staff were very friendly and attentive - can't fault them. Would I come here again? Probably not now I've done it. For the money and knowing what Scarborough has to offer I would probably avoid. My local friends avoid this place down to the price. I am a local girl too so very familiar with the area but never tried here before.

Slow service waited 30 minutes to be greated by a young till operator who didn't know what pinon grigio was he told me to look in the fridge walked out £20 for a bottle of wine and it's self service

Visited after a tentboxing for a night at North Bay. My SO is Coeliac and was keen on the GF breakfast but opted for toast, bacon and poached eggs (build a breakfast). She loved it and had no issues later on (for all those who are coeliac will know what I mean!) I went for the full English with black pudding and loved it. Approx £20 including parking (cost after 9am) so very reasonable. Great start to the day and even topped up our waterbottles for the adventures ahead! Would definitely return.

No gluten free bread, despite advertising it, for the 3rd time we've visited. The chef has raised this with the owner but obviously it isn't important to him as no change. We also noticed each time how sticky the tables were but assumed it was from the cleaning products they use. No! The dirt is weeks of dried on grease and muck that you can actually scrape off with a spoon!! (see photos) We will not be returning again

Great spot with fabulous views of a lovely part of the beach. We had bacon and sausage baps which were delicious with big mugs of tea. Was really yummy eating them outside in the sunshine. Would strongly recommend.

We have been before & I'm sure it was being run by someone else as it was fantastic then - but not now! Hardly any bacon in the bacon wrap and dry scrambled egg obviously been left out too long - they did refund us but sadly won't be returning!

Been coming here for years. Suddenly the service has dropped considerably. Took 15mins to be served in the que at 8am on a Tues morning. Staff seemed to be oblivious to the huge line of waiting customers.

Queued for 25 minutes behind just 6 customers. All I wanted was a coffee, but when I got to the front of the queue the lady at the till decided this wasn’t enough of a challenge for their baristas, and so they batched it with 3 other customers. I therefore had to wait for 2 other orders to be taken, & 6 coffees to be made in parallel, whilst the two baristas larked around having fun, making jokes, and generally working as though they had all the time in the world. This has happened on several occasions now, and I’ve had enough. Although I love the location the service is just too slow. I won’t be going back, and I won’t be the only one. I watched several families walk through the door, see the queue, and walk out again. This used to be a great cafe. Now it’s just plain poor.

Morning surf and breakfast. On our holiday. Well what can I say. What a view. Beautiful location, lovely home made scones. Proper cup of tea. Value for money. I want to go back to be honest. Im gutted Im not still there. Might book another trip so I can go to this cafe again.

Quite a busy cafe on the North Bay, so be prepared to queue. Seating inside and outside, staff are quick to clear and clean tables once vacated. Food is freshly cooked to your request at the till, with vegan and gluten free options on the menu; cakes are home made, no calorie counts on the menus which is ideal for those like me with an eating disorder.

Recently called in to the Watermark with a friend for a spot of lunch. The location is fantastic with fabulous views of our beautiful North Bay and as I hadn’t been in a while I was really looking forward to it. However, I’m sad to say I won’t be rushing back. I ordered a ham and cheese toasted sandwich, priced at £7.95 which comes with crisps and salad. I was very disappointed when it arrived, the sandwich was in 2 small slices of bread with hardly any filling, the salad was just as pathetic, one slice of cucumber, one thin slice of tomato - the end ‘core’ piece at that, one shaving of carrot and a few salad leaves, all looking dry and limp. (To be fair it was a very warm day) The little bowl of crisps was the most appetising out of it all. So very disappointed with it all and certainly not worth the money. There are plenty of cafés in and around Scarborough offering a far better standard of food for a similar price.
