First the good points. The menu here is very good and the prices were reasonable. The meals we had were excellent but far too large portions. They could save money as we werenāt the only people unable to clean our plates. Staff were very friendly and helpful Unfortunately the bad bit, there is no atmosphere in a very dreary restaurant in dire need of refurbishment . I appreciate that spending on pubs is not always available but this place could be made so much better with just a little TLC.

Went today for lunch , I decided i was having soup , they said it was the last portion so that was fine , I asked for no bread which , when it came it was the smallest half bowl of soup for Ā£6.25 , I didnāt want anything knocking off for not having the bread but did expect a full dish, looking at the menu I could of had a small breakfast, or sandwich for about the same price , itās soup where do they get over Ā£6 for it!!

Bought a corned beef & steak bake pasty & 2 sausage rolls. What a horrid dinner, could not tell the pasties apart, could have been a average dog food inside as a filling. Not sure our dog were interested, normally he's all eyes when we're having a takeaway, not this time? Greggs & poundbakery are 100s times nicer, at least you can tell what the filling is. Never again!!

Been several times over the years, have emailed restaurant direct before about a poor experience but today's Ploughman's platter salad was really poor. Previously been a generous portion, but much smaller today. 2 corners of cheese, 2 slices of ham but the salad was minuscule, branton pickle dried out and a thin slice of bloomer supposed to be a 'wedge' . for a whopping Ā£11! Sadly our last visit.

We had an amazing time at the Music Quiz Dinner Night. Both were 100% recommended. Steve Burdin & Julia put a good Music Quiz and the staff of the pub were very friendly and served a great variety of meals. What a great night! It was worthy coming down from London to take part ln this event. Great energy., wonderful time.

The Bell Driffield is in lovely town, lots of bars with live music a real good feeling in the bars. The Bell Hotel. The staff very helpful, the rooms very oldi worldie very spacious and comfortable, and clean, breakfast was very good and well worth the money, The lady's running the spa, where extremely helpful , the treatments where very enjoyable and a very reasonable price, would highly recommend . Thanks from Lynn & Carl

Visited here with a family of 6 for a Saturday lunch. The staff were all very polite and professional. Good selection of drinks, served in clean glasses. Food was delicious and perfect for a light lunch. I had the soup and a sandwich option and the rest of the family went for the sandwich, chips and salad garnish option. All lovely. You could tell the meats were freshly carved, and that the coleslaw was homemade, as were the chunky chips! A really nice lunch trip, in a beautiful setting; just what we were looking for. Thank you to the staff of the pub and the kitchen.

We were meeting up with relatives that we had not seen for many years and at our suggestion met at the garden centre as a halfway point between our houses. We had last stopped for quick refreshments a couple of years ago when it has just re-opened and we quite satisfied then but not this time. We arrived late morning and staff told us that the breakfast menu was still available. Service was very slow; the men's order eventually arrived at least 3 minutes before what the ladies had ordered and then when those arrived they were dire. Both orders were wrong in some way; presentation could have been a great deal better and hot food should be served on warm plates As our relations had said they would pay I felt very embarrassed that meeting up at the garden centre had been our suggestion.

Called in tonight as seen family pub and dogs welcome on their sign.....just our street. Well. Absolutely gobsmacked with the prices, cheep and cheerful. Brie, as discussed as in the cheese, absolute delight, what a barmaid! Signposted me to everything I was drinking and offers, could jot have asked more of her, saleswoman in the making! We will be back, with child and dog š cannot recommend any higher
