We visited for lunch on a busy Saturday in August. We were seated in the window, with harbour views, very promptly by friendly staff. Small but good menu. We had a battered sausage, chips and curry sauce (very tasty, almost fruity) and fish cakes and chips with a side salad. We had a wait of about 15 mins for the food which was fine as it was freshly cooked. Food was very good. Very clean restaurant with clean toilets. Recommended when in the area.

A group of friends all went to this fish and chip restaurant one of our friends was disabled we ask could he use the toilet they said no. they had just cleaned it I really thought they was joking but they wasn't. it's descusting how he was treated by people running this cafe. We all walked out and asked for our money back why would you treat people who have had a stroke like that unbelievable

My sister & I visited here yesterday and had the most delicious fish & chips but whilst there my sister had an epileptic seizure. I would like to thank your staff for being very helpful and understanding whilst this was happening also a very kind lady who was a nurse but I didn't get her name. Both staff, A young lady and young man called Harrison were amazing. Harrison went above and beyond taking us to back to our car, can not thank him enough so please pass this message onto him. My sister recovered quickly and thanks to the help we received from everyone we got home without anymore drama. Thank you and hopefully we will be back soon for more of your delicious food and fantastic view of the harbour. Thank you xxx

Fantastic fish and chips cooked for us by Elaine with her secret formula for the crispiest batter ever! Cod was so fresh and perfectly cooked to order, service friendly, loved it, would recommend.

called in for takeout lunch,had to wait for fish to be cooked as were busy,staff didnt seem to have much of a clue ,took food away ,fish was of a small size,chips were hard and over coooked as if they hard been cooked and re heated ,couldnt eat them they were terrible,dont waste your money,will never go again,avoid

This place has recently re-opened under new ownership and what a huge difference it has made. Right now takeaway due to corona, with a seating area outside. We only ordered fish and chips twice all is cooked to order so there is a reasonable wait for freshly cooked food. Fish was a lovely golden colour with no skin or bones and cooked to perfection all the way through, chips were of good quality and size, also portion size as well, I hope they keep this up I'll definitely be going back, as for a new business my personal opinion is they have gone straight in alongside the best chippy's in the area

Food was pretty good I like my coffee this was also good but be warned this place needs to get the decorators in Good view of the harbour though ps guys butter your bread

At the seaside- so we went for fish and chips. The food was quite good. Chips and the Curry Sauce was excellent. Fish was okay- a bit thin- but tasty. Bread and Butter not well presented. 2 large thick slices - uncut with the butter to spread yourself. On the whole though we were satisfied with the meal. The decor is way out of date and needs updating. The range of drinks is poor. Most fish and chip restaurants have a beer license, this one does not. - the choice on offer seemed limited and unappealing. Service would be improved if a little more effort was made- eg presentation, bread buttered and prepared, checking on whether the food is okay.

Decided to go in here for fish and chips - MISTAKE. We opted for the fish and chip special, well we were served with about 10 chips each and the fish resembled a piece of battered cardboard and literally as thick as a piece of cardboard and very small and tasted DISGUSTING. It was barely a child’s size meal. I would be very embarrassed to let anyone know that I have eaten here. Absolutely HORRIBLE and DISGUSTING meal, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - be warned STAY AWAY!!!!!

We had a superb lunch of fish and chips, plus an excellent cup of tea! I only dropped one star for the décor. It just needs updating and carpets in a restaurant should be banned (my opinion). The staff were great. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the harbour. The take away was busy but the restaurant not so. That was a shame as the food really was excellent.

We visited this lovely fish n chip restaurant as a family of four on Sunday 7th April 2019. We were greeted on arrival and shown to a suitable table. We were given ample opportunity to view the menu before the friendly member of staff took our order. Our drinks order was quickly brought to us followed by our freshly cooked fish n chips meals. Hot, fresh, delicious and enjoyed by all. Kids meals are available on the menu and were more than enough for our children aged 5 and 7. The adult meals were plentiful too. The restaurant was clean and well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. The price of the meals were very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Came to brid with the family for the day, we called in for 3 chip buttys to take away, waited 10 mins for chip? Fair enough if nice..2 chip buttys - just got enough chips then mine...well not enough chips at all i asked the lad is that all i'm getting and he said yes, i asked to see manager but he said nobody in, he offerd to put more chips in but i wasnt waiting another 10 mins and there should of been enough in forst place, you could see the breadcake through the chips i just wanted dinner with the kids....i should of taken photo but didnt think...

Visited Bridlington for my birthday day out with my family, previous visits to SeaView have been fine. On Monday’s visit the chips were not fully cooked, the mushy peas were just gloopy. The fish cake didn’t have any fish in it! And a lump of sad looking salad shoved on the side. Not one member of staff (including the cook) looked over the age of 18 or bothered about providing customer service. Felt Ill for the rest of the afternoon and ruined our trip. I’m hoping the scaffolding all over the entrance is to erect a For Sale sign as SeaView has gone downhill. Will avoid this place on future visits.

Dirty greasy tables with a bottle of cleaner and dirty cloth left on the side. Cafe was empty when we went in as was the take away side - that should have been a warniing! Staff talking amongst themselves and on mobiles during the whole of our visit. We asked if possible to have smaller portion for my 82year mum but were told not. Condiments were in cheap plain packets. Fish & chips were dry and too much batter. No-one came to ask if all was ok throughout the meal and payment was taken without making any conversation too. Would definately not recommend.

Walked in and had to 5 minutes before anyone even came to serve us.Really bad customer service young girl that served us was really unfriendly rude and we felt unwelcome.My 5 year old went in to the restaurant thinking we was going to eat inside for the girl to shake her head indisgust I felt I had to walk out with my children because I was getting annoyed with her attitude so left my partner to get the food.And to top it all off the chips were dry and bitty the fish wasn't up to much either really disappointed as we had been looking forward to this all day.We will not be using this fish shop again.

asked for fish and chips twice and got two fish and a small portion of chips told them that was wrong and was told we had ordered 3 fish and one chips, gave us some money back for our third phantom fish we never ask for then told us they had no more chips we then asked for two coffees which came with lids to big for the cups so we left wont be going back it was sh£$%

been here a lot of times sometimes sit in and sometimes the takeaway. yesterday was a nice day so decided to have them outside got fish and chips the fish was very nice but the chips were really awful looked liked they had been warmed up all week very chewy and tasteless. informed the assistant she said it depends on what time of day you come and also could of been the potatoes. she offered us fresh chips but we had eaten the fish and had been put of the chips by then. Even she agreed they looked awful. We will not got back here.

we went to the sea view restaurant yesterday for something to eat as we have used the place before to eat in,but with the weather being lovely we decided to eat outside to eat our fish n chips. The fish was lovely but the chips were disgusting they looked like they had been reheated several times/very chewy and lots of dry scabby looking ones, i complained to the girl behind the counter and admitted they looked horrible, but could only say was it depends what time of day you come or depends on the potato we use, she offered me some fresh chips at this time but i declined as i was put off by the first lot. will not be going back .poor customer service and even worse excuses for poor and disgusting food.

Been here a few times..last time we came was a real dissapointment..got sat down and ordered the large fish and chips each (me and my partner)..partner asked for a fish with curry but no chips..I asked for fish chips and garden peas to be told theres no garden peas. .personally I dont think the server could be bothered, I ordered a coke aswell which is a rip off because you pay for small bottle and they pour it into a small glass then they have the cheek to keep whats left in the bottle when my partners fish arrived they had put chips with it even though he requested they not put chips on it..so we tucked into real dissapointment to find the large haddock we were looking forward to was actually just white fish..sloppy and tasteless exactly the same as bassa you get in the shops..no wonder there was only us in..even the waitress was sat at a table doing sod all..as for the server he was young and unenthusiastic with a poor attitude..we,ll never return here it wasnt worth the twenty odd quid that they charged.i.ll stick to jacks in the future!!

Worst ever. Burnt chips with scraps which I can't even describe what was in the scraps. Toilets were filthy.

Estábamos muy ansiosos de pescado y patatas fritas antes de ir a casa de bridlington. Cómo decepcionado. . . . . Si lo que recibimos es el par para el curso el lugar estará la suerte de alojarme en negocios. Un poco de pescado. . . Que aparte de ser un poco grasiento estaba bien. Un puñado de patatas fritas, gracias a Dios, grasienta y fresca. quemado . Salsa de curry. carece de sabor y no caliente las patatas fritas. . . . Prueba Allensmore justo arriba de la calle de al lado, pero uno!

No se desanime por el exterior que hacen de este restaurante una vez dentro pequeñita, aspecto que se puede ver el tamaño completo del restaurante. La decoración interior es un poco cutre, pero no dejes que esto te desanime, ya que el pescado y las patatas fritas que teníamos eran hermosas, no nadar en grasa y la guisantes blandos estaban muy sabrosos.

tried just about every fish and chip establishment in brid over the many years we have been visiting our beloved brid and for the last 3 years the seaview has been the one for us coming from south yorkshire we love our cod and this place is the best beautiful white fish freshly cooked and awsome chips weather you eat in the restaurant or get take away and sit on the harbour you wont get better

Nice views of the harbour. Service was friendly but a little slow However, the Fish and Chips where 100 % fresh and very tasty some of the best fish and chips I have had in years. And that's why I would go back. In terms of value it wasn't expensive. However I have to agree the fish was small. Also more attention could have been paid to cleaning the cutlery . Which sadly pulls this down from good to average.

Totally ripped off here! Smallest piece of haddock you will ever see passed off as a large! I counted 11 chips with my paltry fish as well! It was really tasty though so these owners are letting themselves down. Avoid and go further down the road for a proper portion. Sorry guys

Found this little treasure on our first trip to Bridlington . Although the premises are dated and not as clean as they could be the food more than made up for it . We had the normal Haddock Chips and mushy peas so glad we didn't go for the large option as there was more than enough. Everything was cooked to perfection and the batter was crisp without being heavy , the fish was beautiful and white can honestly say it was the best I've had . The young girls who waited on were excellent all in all would highly recommend just feel they need to keep up a better cleaning regime to hold on to their 5 star rating

always go to this chippy when we visit Bridlington. fish is very fresh and you can choose from different sizes. floor a bit dirty if you go late on, but I don't suppose they can go round with a hoover whilst they are open! ( but that's just one of those things). Reasonably priced too.

First day we stayed in Bridlington we fancied some fish n chips so tried the sea view,wish we hadn't bothered it was horrible ordered haddock and chips twice with peas and curry sauce with bread and butter.All though the fish was OK the chips were a disgrace and as for the bread and butter it was so hard I could have knocked a wall down with it.If you can avoid the sea view then do so. Yuk

We stopped in here for fish and chips and for lunch with us not knowing Bridlington at all. We ordered two regular cod and chips which came with a tea or coffee and bread and butter and we ordered a children's fish and chips which came with an ice cream. The food was very reasonably priced. The chips were gorgeous and the fish although looking big wasn't that big under all the batter. It was wasn't a very substantial fish or very meaty if you get what I mean. The restaurant was clean enough. The tables could have been wiped better as there was salt on them but There was only one girl serving and it was fairly busy at times. She did her best bless her. I wouldn't visit again if I came back to Bridlington. I would try somewhere different I think.

Went in with family while in Bridlington and rather weekend. Food was very good in the restaurant. Much better than the similar places on the front. Only loses a point for a limited menu.

Didn't know what to expect really, my husband ordered large fish and got 2 big fish chips peas bread tea for pretty cheap! The quality was excellent. Have recommended to friends visiting Brid.

We have been going into Sea View for many years......... they have a decent menu and the portions are very good. The food is usually excellent and value for money. I don't know if it has changed hands because when we went in the other day the good was awful........... I had Seafood Platter...... I could not even cut some of the Gougons on my plate.............. so different from our last visit (about three weeks ago) ...... then the food was amazing .... it looked tempting on the plate.......... will probably go back again but will check who is cooking xx

They do a very nice fish here. Unless you have an enormous appetite the just have the large fish on its own. If you want everything have the regular fish and chips but you will struggle to finish it I bet.Nice staff and a good cup of tea

What a discovery ...... The Cod and Chips was truly superb. In fact the chips were by far the best chips we had ever had ...... anywhere ..... thick cut like door wedges and totally non greasy. As you walk around Bridlington you don't arf see some rubbishy oily fish and chips ...... but not here.Friendly staff ...... and so very helpful. Cosy place as well

I had been here on a previous visit to Brid and had nice food. Came today and the regular haddock and chips was tiny. I'm fairly sure my kid's fish and chips were bigger than mine. We weren't given any bread and butter until nearly the end of the meal and the waitress managed to spill half a bowl of mushy peas on the table and didn't clean it up. Just giggled at us and left. Even when we asked for a cloth to clean it up it wasn't brought. Was I supposed to eat them off the table?

After a hard day i thought chippy tea .I like to try differant chippys so went here for another experiance .Dont bother . The best bit about here is the sea view. Very unfriendly member of staff when i got home and opened my carton it was disgusting . I took it back and asked for my money back i was told they couldnt open the till so would cook me another meal . Got home only a tiny bit better than the last . I chucked it i wouldnt even feed it to my dog . The bucket behind the counter holding chips was filthy i wished id noticed before i ordered !

We visited the chippy on our last visit to Brid. which as about 12months ago ,and thought how good both fish and chips were. We were again on holiday there last week(late June ) hove never had such disgusting chips in my life...must have been fried and refried and were nearly black.digusting! The fish was OK but a bit dry and greasy but quite nice batter,,cut neared draining more. Very disappointing , and considering how many chippies there are there ,,,,, obviously we will not be returning when we visit Bridlingto again.

Lovely Fresh Fish, Proper Chips and mushy Peas served with bread and butter with a strong pot of tea. Good view of the harbour. Friendly and polite staff. Childrens portions are a good size and fed my hungry teenager.

ok reasonably priced one of my favourite places cheap and cheerful when its blustery outside , near paper shops tea pots do not dribble all over clean toilet bit of a step (still have beggers and drug addict sleeping in doorways wrapped in sacks or old coats sleeping bags . and dogs that look as if they need a eally good meal tied up to the entrances to the precinct at the back. while owners visit the £1 shop I lived in tis area a year ago really quite pleased to be away.

We more or less always visit Seaview on our trips to Bridlington but this time the chips were undercooked, the batter wasn't great and it felt very expensive for what we got, we always dine in rather than take out but think we will find another chippy next visit!

Popped in whilst visiting Bridlington. Was very very impressed by the quality.Fish was very well cooked and fresh. The batter was very light and the chips lovely.Service good too.Can't wait to return.

Gem of a place not obvious as a restaurant when you walk past but staff are friendly and the food was great!

I gave a 100% review for this fish shop last year because it was brilliant, but We have been back today and it must be under new management, the chips are very, very thick! not nice at all. The fish was ok but it just isn't what it was, to be honest we were very disapointed.

So many fish and chip shops to choose from...we couldn't decide which one to go for. Decided on this one after seeing other people eating their fish and chips from here and enjoying them. Very good sized portion and not too greasy. Also batter was nice and light. I normally have loads of ketchup but was not required at all! Near to seats overlooking the harbour so easy to eat as a takeaway.

We had a lovely family meal at the Sea View restaurant on Friday 26th June 2015. On arrival, we were seated quickly and given ample time to make our choices. We were served by a lovely waitress called Alice. She was extremely helpful and polite. After giving our order, our meals arrived swiftly. Fresh, hot and well presented. What more can you ask for. We would definitely eat here again and recommend to all. Reasonably priced meals and service with a smile! Good choices for both children and adults. I highly recommend the seafood platter - delicious!:-)

With so much competition in Bridlington for fish and chips we weren't sure where we wanted to eat, however we did want to sit down and eat inside so we picked here.It was full when we arrived and we were told there would be a 5-10 minute wait so we waited around outside until we saw some people leave then we went inside.Got sat down, ordered drinks and then ordered food...then we waited and waited. In this time the restaurant slowly started to empty out until there were 4 tables of people left including ours...and still we waited!It eventually took about 40 minutes for the food to arrive (I think they were too busy serving the take out customers)...2 large cod and chips and 2 seafood platters; the large cod turned out to be 2 normal sized cod (excellent value for the money) but the 1 of the seafood platters was lacking...a piece of 'fish' which was just coldish batter (not much evidence of fish!) and a goujon that tasted too fishy to be freshWould I come back...yes because our cod and chips was lovely but I'd be prepared to wait! It would have scored a 4 but the wait was far too long for fish and chips...

For a take away fish & chips you can't ask for more...However if you're using the restaurant be prepared for a wait. On a table of 2 we waited over half an hour & the tables who ordered after us were served first. Needless to say we were not impressed & there are plenty of other options available

There are sooo many chips shops in Bridlington it's hard to choose but this one deffo doesn't disappoint. Food is really nice, and if you are happy to eat out it's a lot cheaperDécor is dated but I'd rather have nice food! Only two tables near the window with Sea View Only disappointing thing is the drinks - Pepsi is £1.20 yet 80p to take out. Worse thing is they pour it into a glass and don't give you the rest of the can! Don't mind paying the £1.20 if they gave you all the can!

We visited the seaview on a sunday afternoon in April. The food was lovely and fresh (all cooked to order) the chips were propper chips and the fish was amazing. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning for more of the same. Keep up the good work guys.

Have been a few times before and always very quiet. Went with my mum and partner today sat at the window which was lovely to look out whilst we were eating. We ordered fish and chips, my partner sausage and chips and all had cups of tea. Couldn't fault the food at all, absolutely lovely. Waitress was lovely, although same couldn't be said for the other staff who was quite rude. Was told 'you'll have to ask someone else if you wanna pay' which I don't think was very professional. Place is very outdated and could do with sprucing up but always had a pleasant lunch when I've visited

These Fish & Chips are the best You can get anywhere! We travel From South Yorkshire often to visit this Fish & Chip shop. Freshly cooked and the best We have had and believe Me we have tried quite a few, this is the best by far. We have'nt eaten in the resturant, just take away.Even My 7 year Grandson always says " can We go to Brid for Fish & chips"

It was a cold weekend and we are not familiar with good bridlington restaurants. We entered the Sea View and were not greeted by any of the young staff for a while, even though the place was dead, so we seated ourselves. A very young girl eventually brought us shabby menus that were falling apart. The place needs a very good clean and refurbishment, if the health inspector was to do a surprise inspection it would be shut down for sure, the 5 star food hygiene rate is not accurate at all.The food arrived quick, lovely fish and perfect portion for a small person like me. It's a shame they don't do a pensioners special, that would definitely boost the slow business.Unfortunately the young waitress didn't seem very attentive, especially when i asked for a clean cup (the cup was disgusting) she didn't apologize and just took the cup rudely, and silently brought a clean one back. Perhaps some of the staff are a little too young to be there and need trainingFairly priced, but wish we had gone somewhere else.

I see this little restaurant gets, generally speaking, good reviews. Unfortunately there experience was not all together the one we enjoyed.I was a member of a party of five, who on a summers afternoon were looking for somewhere to eat. Most of the restaurants we found were full, until we discovered Sea View which was close on empty.We entered the restaurant and were be greeted by a friendly waitress, who showed us to our table. A table which offered lovely views across the harbour. The decor was a little dated, and the carpet, grubby.We ordered our meals, one of our party ordered a pot of tea. When it arrived, the milk jug and tea pot where water stained from the dishwasher, not did it appear appear particularly clean. The milk jug had old, dried milk inside the jug, underneath the rim. The crockery didn't didn't appear to be particularly clean either.Our meals, which arrived quickly, where fresh hot and the food was good, portions where a good size also. Unfortunately it was a little spoiled by the fact that one person found what can best be described as a "foreign object" in their food. When the waitress's attention was drawn to it, she appeared uninterested and did not offer an apology. The other thing is that the toilets while clean are up a flight of stairs making it difficult should some one have a disability to access the bath room.

Me and the husband visited here on a Saturday lunch. The restaurant has views of the harbour if you sit at the back. Its nice and clean and the staff are really helpful and polite.We eat here every time we come to Bridlington as the price is really good along with the portion size. It is the nicest fish and chips we have had and we have certainly tried a lot.Maybe not the very cheapest along there but its more than worth the extra pound........you really have to try

Went to restaurant when on holiday in Bridlington. I had Haddock and the rest of the family had Cod both were cooked to perfection. Will be back when we visit again.

With such nice weather in the UK we decided to take a trip to the seaside and have fish and chips.3 Adults and 2 children (1 infant).2 Adults had seafood platters which was very poor. On the menu it appears impressive but what a disappointment. King prawns turned out to be 2 tiny prawns, scampi was awful and just 4 pieces, 2 tiny pieces of battered fish which was equally awful and something which was fishy but not sure what it was. All on a bed of brown lettuce with a few tiny bits of tomato.Absolutely disgusting and all came as greasy as the fryer they came out of.Kids menu is very basic and unhealthy with no drinks or desserts to be seen.All the food in general was very poor and we could have ate better and far cheaper with frozen food from low end stores such as Iceland.Worst of all was the fact that whilst waiting for our food the child and the infant entertained themselves with a balloon sitting on the floor. When they got up their clothes were absolutely filthy with the dirt and grime from the carpet.No exaggeration but they could have walked on their knees outside on the pavement and come back cleaner than been on the carpet in this place. Truly disgusting and there is no need for such poor hygiene standards.Obviously the carpet has never ever been cleaned or even seen a vacum cleaner in its entire life. This was the first and last time we ever visit this horrible filthy place and I dare say that if the inspectors pay this place a visit they would only need to test which germs live in the carpet and they would soon shut the place down.The owners of this place need to be ashamed of themselves for allowing people to eat here and charge the earth for poor food in such a filthy environment.Staff do not smile that much either and are not very welcoming.Never again and this place deserves no customers.

I have visited the SeaView Fish and Chips Restaurant several times. I have always enjoyed my meal and the staff are very friendly. There is also a lovely view over the harbour. My only complaint is the stairs up to the toilet but this will not stop me calling again.k

Beautiful fish and chips, large portions, lovely light batter, very tasty and good price. Has a restaurant with amazing harbour views, although does close early.

I can't go to Bridlington without a visit to the sea view chippy always great food fresh and tasty the chips are of a good size and very tasty and golden brown the fish is just to die for fresh as they come the batter a lovely crispy golden batter encasing the beautiful fresh fish the staff are very polite and friendly not to mention knowledgeable and attentive little things like putting the vinegar on the chips before putting the fish on so as not to make the batter soggy and then there is the huge window overlooking the harbour so you can see where your fish has come from

We first came across this place in December 2012 and it was just pot luck that we picked it. 2 portions of haddock and chips later and we were hooked! We decided there and then to revisit when we had family to stay and show them what they were missing. 8 months later we returned!I was worried that we had built it up in our minds to be better than it was, but how wrong I was.2 large haddock and chips, 1 ex large jumbo haddock and chips, bread and butter each and a pot of tea. The batter was light and crispy, the fish was freshly cooked - I nearly burnt myself by taking too big a bite - and the chips were yummy with just the right amount of sticking together. Staff were really helpful and polite. We will be going back again. £26 for everything!

Walked along the cliff-top from Sewerby to Bridlington (3miles), so was ready for traditional fish and chips. Excellent, friendly, speedy service. Haddock, chips and mushy-peas very tasty. Tiny criticism, the cold butter mentioned elsewhere. Didn't manage to secure a harbour-view table - perhaps next time. Still an enjoyable experience and good value.

I go to this fish and chip shop very often in winter because no other fish and chip shops are ever open!!! Fish and Chips from here are delicious and all freash!!! Plus you get an awsome view from here... You want fresh fish and chips, and a great view????? Come to Sea View if you do...

Me and my partner went here today as it was January we couldn't find anywhere on the sea front open. So we went in and had a sit down fish and chip. It was reasonably priced. Although it is January there was no atmosphere such as music or people. It was nice food although I don't think I'd sit in the restaurant again maybe just a takeaway.

Strangely enough when we visited all the fish and chip restaurants seemed to have closed up in the evening. After lots of wandering round town we came across the Sea View. From the outside front it looks just like a standard takeaway but as we walked in we found it was exactly what we were looking for - in the back is a restaurant with tables looking out a large window over the harbour. Fish, chips, mushy peas, bread n butter and a cuppa tea all with a view. What more could you want?! Oh yes, and really great service with a smile too.

This was a first time visit here as our usual choice for fish n chips in Bridlington had unfortunately closed down. We got the sea view, as, apart from another couple, we were the only customers eating in. We ordered haddock, chips and mushy peas, a seafood platter, and a portion of curry sauce. The seafood platter was delicious, much better than the haddock. I suspect this may be due to the seafood platter being cooked to order, and the haddock may have been cooked for a little while before being served. The batter on the cod was light and crispy and piping hot, whereas on the haddock, it seemed darker in colour and thicker. The chips were fantastic and the portions were good. The bread and butter was served with rock hard butter. I always find it annoying when the butter can't be spread, despite trying to warm it up on top of our tea pot! One other little gripe was being served tartare sauce in sachets - a pet hate of mine, especially in a fish restaurant - it's SO unnecessary. The service was quick and efficient and the staff were very pleasant, but there wasn't much of an atmosphere due to the lack of customers. The cost was £20.00 for two including tip which overall was good value.
