Delicious Sunday Calvary at such a reasonable price. The gammon was cooked to perfection and not too salty. Good variety of veg and lovely gravy too! I’ll definitely re-visit another Sunday.

Me and hubby enjoyed a cracking meal and bottle of wine for under £50 in here last night. We are motorhomers so the added ability to stopover is something we will look at. We walked from a local campsite and stayed for ages because it was such a great atmosphere and food. Recommend the pies and fish cakes!

My friends and I regularly visit the Ship Inn while we are away for the weekend. We mostly go for a drink and we are a large group with dogs, but we always return every time so we must enjoy it. The food is lovely but at times we don’t always get what we want as elements of meals aren’t available (such as baguettes). The staff are accommodating- meeting our particular fussy needs on meals (there were a few this wk end), setting the fire going in the outside area etc! Particular mention to Emily who this weekend went above and beyond, and also to a guy behind the bar (sorry we didn’t get your name- beard and glasses) who was always able to serve our pints with smile! One of our friends also stays at the Ship in his motorhome and enjoys his stay!

Very dog friendly with dog treats and dog dinners available! Staff were very warm and welcoming. Food was yummy. Our son had the two course with starter or dessert included in the price of a main. I had the mushroom medley on toast and hubby had the cheddar and leek pie with veg. Food was piping hot, just as I like it and very delicious. We were given a voucher card for upgrade to large Sunday carvery which sadly we couldn’t use as we were leaving the next day. Beer garden looked lovely with views over the sea. There was also a nook with comfy chairs and a small fire…just outside before entering the beer garden. Brilliant on such a cold day and several people were taking advantage as we left. If we return to the area we will definitely visit this lovely pub again!

A gem tucked up on a clifftop overlooking the 'Bay' of Bridlington. A short walk from the land train, near to both Sewerby Manor and the model village, this pub has a marvellous pub garden with sea views, a children's play area, and an outdoor bar - weather permitting! ;-) Popular with walkers, it is very dog-friendly (treats available) throughout. The food is great, with the carvery so popular that I'd advise booking! A couple of real ales available (well kept), there's plenty of gin, some ciders, and hot drinks always available. Full disclosure: I live half-an-hour's walk away and I'm a regular here. I like my real ale (and ciders), but I can't fault the service and food. Don't forget to say hello to Charlie the parrot!

Absolute bargain £30 per person for Singapore sling cocktail or mocktail ( basically half a pint if not more), prawn crackers, starters, buffet main ( very generous portions) and dessert, tea which we opted out and fortune cookies , fantastic can't wait to book again maybe valentine's, Italian night or saint Patrick's day or just maybe all of them. We have always had lovely meals here at The Ship Inn and so we were looking forward to our lunch today and we both opted for the pie from the Pie Thursday menu. Well what a disappointment. Firstly the pies were barely warm enough but we let this go. But mine, lamb and mushroom was inedible. The lamb was tough and grisly and the base and sides of the pie was so thick, I couldn't cut through it! Its usual practice after you've been given your meal for waiting staff to check if everything is OK with your meal, but this did not happen at The Ship Inn despite it not being overly busy., we were only asked if everything was OK when the plates were being cleared away and as I'd left most of mine, I pointed out my reasons for doing so and was just told "oh sorry about that". So no idea if this will be passed onto the Chef and a standard reply given to all unsatisfied Customers! This has certainly put us off visiting again any time soon.

Went for lunch in the October school holidays as it has a good beer garden and we have a dog. It was busy at the bar for ordering food but we weren’t informed just how long the wait would be. We were sat outside for over an hour waiting for our food, by which time we were very cold and the dog was shivering! The plate of fish and chips was plentiful and the chips were nice, but the fish was very pasty between the fish and the batter. There are better places for fish and chips in Bridlington. The children’s play area is good. To sum up; great play area, plenty of seating outside if you have a dog (the undercover area had smokers in it so a no go for us) and I guess it’s ok if you’re happy to wait for food. The staff are pleasant enough, they just need more kitchen staff.

We popped in for Sunday lunch at 4 PM and were gutted to find the turkey had sold out. But the chef was brilliant—he came over three times with different alternatives to make sure we were happy. Top-notch service! We went for the beef and gammon, and when the food arrived, it was absolutely spot on—plenty of it, full of flavour, and seriously hit the spot. Washed it down with a pint of Blonde Bombshell, and by the end, we were absolutely stuffed! The pub had a nice, chilled vibe, not too busy at that time. Kids and dogs were both welcome, which was great. We would’ve loved to squeeze in dessert, but there was just no chance! Definitely recommend if you’re after a cracking Sunday roast with great service

Very friendly staff, food is delicious and the coffee/cake is outstanding. Ben was also charming and welcoming. Lynn was also very lovely, certainly worth a visit if you are popping through Market Weighton.

This cafe has just changed hands, is been renovated by new owners, also allows dogs inside, and a new menu starts next week
