The best restaurants serving British food in Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

Went to the summer bier Keller on the 17th aug very good atmosphere the drinks were expensive each round was a different price one double vodka with water and a dash of orange cordial was £9.40 when I asked if that was right she said the vodka was £7.20 meaning £2.20 was charged for a dash of cordial and tap water we left half way through the night the prices really spoilt it for us

Good food, good value and a lovely ambience. Highly recommended. Bacon and Brie panini delicious and Victoria Sponge lovely.

Food always to a high standard cannot fault it

We had a lovely family meal with good size portions. Quick service and very attentive Waitresses. Lovely friendly staff. Will certainly come back.

Excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. Tony, Becky and the team were fabulous. Arranged a family get together at very short notice and they didn't miss a beat. Snug venue was beautifully decorated and excellent venue for the private family gathering.. everyone said how marvellous it all was! Thank you again.

My new local, and what a local to have! Eaten a few times and food has been fantastic every time, looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch soon! As for the bar, great selection of drinks, very reasonably priced and all the entertainment you need. Live sports, pool table + dart board. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Went today after seeing post on Facebook, we didn't book and the staff set a table up for us, got 2 course Sunday roast and daughter got the Yorkie wrap. Plenty of food, great price, brilliant staff.

Restaurant review only.. We booked for a birthday meal, the service initially was quite good, the serving staff where helpful and timely... The food on the other hand was not very good at all. Firstly I was served a coffee with a biscuit which had a hair sticking out of it. We made the server aware and it was it was rectified with a fresh cookie. We then ordered their Roast carvery option, this wasn't very nice, the vegetables where dried and had been left too long and the roast meat was far too tough to cut never mind chew. The portions of chips where obviously re heated as the where very dark and burnt. We did mention it to and where charged for a small carvery instead of a large... Whole thing was disappointing as we went for a birthday meal... We won't going again.

The pub closed suddenly earlier this year but has re-opened with a new landlord, The inside has been smartened up but they are not doing food again yet and the drinks prices (at least for cask beers) are much higher than the norm for this area. I understand that these are dictated by the pubco which owns the pub rather than the landlord but they are such that I am unlikely to return in the foreseeable future.

Brooks is a must visit destination restaurant. We travelled from South Africa to dine at Brooks. It has fantastic small plates a very good wine list and an amazing proprietor. The wine list is extensive and has a number of special International wines. The food is innovative and tasty. Put this on your must visit Leeds itinerary.

We were hungry when we arrived on our first day and we decided to have a meal at the Inn before settling in We plumped for the roast chicken and Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables, great choice, everything cooked to perfection and we finished off with a steamed pudding and custard, pub atmosphere was great and staff couldn’t do enough The rooms are comfortable and plentiful Breakfast was a selection on cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, cheeses, and a full range of hot options including the usual full English Overall a wonderful 2 night stay and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again

Went out for a drive in the country with my dad and stumbled across this little gem. Friendly polite and well presented serving staff. We both had a pint of Taylors Landlord which was excellent. I had the belly pork while my dad had the giant yorkshire pudding with minted lamb stew, Both well presented and good portions and delicious. Will definitely be back.

What a brilliant local pub. (You can tell its community commitment by the defib on the wall! A great bar with 4 real ales that are kept at room temperature with a wonderful condition. This is a proper pub. It has a lovely restaurant room next door to the bar. In summary… great beer..local company… and a wonderful homely feel.

Lovely staff where very accommodating with my husband's diet. I had the hot honey halloumi and it was gorgeous and was just enough. You can tell alot of love when into our food I wish I took a picture. Will definitely come again.
