Went out for a drive in the country with my dad and stumbled across this little gem. Friendly polite and well presented serving staff. We both had a pint of Taylors Landlord which was excellent. I had the belly pork while my dad had the giant yorkshire pudding with minted lamb stew, Both well presented and good portions and delicious. Will definitely be back.

Lovely welcome from the team. Such a cosy pub with a great feel. We ordered the pies having had the privilege of having had them before when they had the stubbing inn in Hebden. They were part of the 10 pound lunchtime deal and we were amazed to see the portion size was the same (so many places offer smaller sizes when there is a deal on) pies were sublime and came with really tasty chips and veg as the side . So tasty and great to see such value for money. Its a bit of a walk for us but well worth it. Brilliant

We stayed here as part of a Buyagift offer. Our room was cosy. Found the staff friendly. Food in the pub was tasty and there is lots of choice. Breakfast the next day was good and served by a very friendly lady. The inn is dog friendly which is an added bonus. The surrounding area is very scenic. Would recommend.

Stayed here last week and have to say that it is terrific. The staff are all lovely and the food is excellent. There is an extensive menu, mostly pub classics but all done to a really high standard. Breakfasts were also very good, we would recommend this little place to anyone but be warned...book a table because it gets very busy.

We visited tonight at 6 pm with our family - we sat down straight away and the waitress took our order ,we then waited an hour for it to arrive ! We have been regular customers for over 15 years both with the current owners and the previous owners and have never been dissapointed till tonight . The sevice was very poor and came well short tonight - the food portions were smaller and quality very poor we had to ask for vegetables and salad dressings. It was'nt particularly busy but we just seemed to be ignored all the time.we had to go to the bar and ask for desserts as they did'nt bother even when we sat for 20minutes. We were also over charged for 2 main courses. We were very disappointed all round with our meal this evening 😯Not what we expected !

Stayed overnight for a break. Stayed in room 4, great views, nice comfortable room, great amenities. TV a bit too small and far away from the bed and no heating in bathroom though. Shower was great, very powerful. Had a meal in the restaurant, proper home cooked food and very generous portions. Had a sandwich when we arrived which came with chips and salad, if id have known how much we were getting we could’ve shared. Vegan options on the menu and a vegan breakfast if you ask. Great hotel, views of hills and fields out of every window. Lovely style country pub, comfy seating and relaxed atmosphere. Overall a pleasant stay, nice friendly and helpful staff too.

A great pub with really good meals - cosy and friendly . The meals were recommended and didn't disappoint - good choice of beers as well . The breakfast was large and very tasty - no complaints at all . The only downside to this place is the position which is remote - bus service to Hebden Bridge is good and drops you off in the town . If you are a walker then it is perfect . The room was massive and the bathroom the same - room was warm - comfy bed . Big car park - no problems with parking . Would definitely stop here again if I was visiting Hebden Bridge .

We stayed here with friends for our Christmas get together, so we all had rooms booked as well as a table for an evening meal. The Robin Hood Inn is wonderful country pub with dinning, it has a good selection of beers and spirits, I can heartily recommend the Timothy Taylor's bitter. Although we all chose from the Christmas menu, with a good selection of starters, mains and deserts, there was also the standard menu with a good selection of dishes to choose from and both menus had a choice of vegetarian options. Their are only three rooms, for guests, varying in size, we had the family room ( though it was only for the two of us ). It was a well set out room with a large bathroom, with walk in shower, w.c. and a counter style dressing table. Toiletries and towels were provided as was a hair dryer. The bedroom had a TV, double bed, two single beds as well as a kettle, with ample tea, coffee, sugar and sweeteners ( with additional available on the landing to replenish as required ). We found the beds to be comfortable and roomy, with some additional fleece throws in the wardrobe. Heating for the room was from a radiator sited partially behind the TV and one of the single beds, which once turned on provided adequate heat to the room. There were also enough spare power point's and usb ports to charge electrical devices as required. The food was tasty, both our evening meal and breakfast, well presented without being overloaded, ( the Friar Tuck breakfast will set you up for the day). We found the staff very friendly and helpful, both in the evening and in the morning, giving the same service to locals and guests. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Called in for a drink and a meal after a walk. The festive menu was excellent: we went for veggie choices, of which there were many imaginative options. The meat dishes looked good too. The food was excellent, especially the ginger and cranberry nut roast. So was the beer. Good to see zero alcohol beer on draught (Lucky Saint), so much tastier than from a bottle.

A genuinely friendly pub. My first visit. I went in with a friend. I found myself chatting to people I hadn't met before; this wouldn't have happened a few years ago. There seemed to be good food available judging by the number of people dining. A former Coaching inn with obvious historical details. The bar prices were reasonable. Dogs welcome. Friendly & helpful bar staff. Also a good sized car park.

We stayed here for one night and had a voucher that included bed, breakfast and 2 course evening meal. Pub is very cosy. We were shown to our room by a friendly lady and the room was homely and typical for a country pub. Very clean with en suite shower room. A few toiletries were in the bathroom and also tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. We had booked a table for our meal which was good as the pub was very busy being a Saturday evening. Food was very good and the portion sizes large. We were both full to the brim and couldn’t manage a dessert! The following morning we were met by a very friendly lady who took our orders for breakfast. This was also very good with a selection of cereals juice, full English breakfast or eggs, poached scrambled etc also with smoked salmon if required. Plenty of tea/ coffee and toast and all with a smile. We chatted to this lady and another and they they gave us ideas for places to walk locally which we did. Staff at this pub are very friendly and this makes for a very enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday after going to a gig at Trades in Hebden Bridge. Hebden Bridge itself is well worth a visit. Everyone was extremely friendly. It is a few miles away from Hebden Bridge with stunning views across the...

Just been today, with my Wife, Sister and Nephew. We had a good time, the food was exceptionally good. My Nephew liked the fish Sea Bass Filet in that case, my Sister had and myself had the Old Gate burger with chips, my Wife had the Guijon Chicken Burger. The Waiter was not pushing ( specifically with the bill ) at all All in all very good

Disappointing food. Had the haddock and there was a very small piece of fish in a soup of Hollandaise sauce. Half of the mains were not available.

A lovely traditional pub steeped in local history that for the last few years has suffered from a revolving door of short lived landlords without a clue. What a refreshing change then to see that the Hinch' has finally got new landlords (Oct2024) who clearly know how to run a pub. Within a short period of time they have successfully managed to breathe new life into what had become a tired and soulless place to eat and drink. On the two occasions we've been since the Hinch reopened we've been super impressed with the food. In fact the cheese and onion pie might well be the best pie l've tasted in the Calder Valley (or ever!) and the flavourful and plentiful Sunday Roast offering was a cut above your usual pub ‘roast’ offering. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the food if you’re looking for somewhere to eat - especially when it comes without the hassle of parking in Hebden Bridge. On each occasion we’ve been, the Hinch was busy with drinkers and diners which is great to see. The trade off is you've only got the choice of Manchester owners JW Lees’ own branded mystery beer offerings. Forget the craft-ale revolution, or the fact that Vocation brewery is literally 5 mins away, the solitary guest beer offering here is San Miguel. I guess you can't have everything, but at least the food and atmosphere more than makes up for it!
