The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Pedí tres asados de domingo y no pude comer nada de eso, ya que soy alérgico al romero y el tomillo porque algún cabeza de avión podría seguir instrucciones simples. He tenido que tener mi EpiPen y me llevaron al hospital. Podrían haberme matado si pudiera dejar una reseña de cero estrellas. Desearía que fuera una elección en qué se cocina su comida, especialmente para las personas con alergias graves como yo. 80 en comida y ni siquiera me reembolsarán

Éramos un grupo de 13 que habían salido a caminar por la mañana y habían reservado en el New Inn para el almuerzo de hoy. Nuestra mesa estaba muy bien configurada para nosotros y nuestro pedido se tomó rápidamente una vez que habíamos decidido qué tener, ya que las opciones de menú eran excelentes. La comida fue servida rápidamente y la presentación de cada plato fue simplemente genial. El personal era amable y servicial también. En su mayoría pedimos diferentes cosas y cada plato fue proclamado como delicioso y fueron 13 platos limpios que volvieron a la cocina. Tenía los mejillones y estaban absolutamente divinos y cocinados a la perfección. Toda la experiencia fue simplemente perfecto y sin duda volveremos una y otra vez. Gracias a todos en el New Inn.

Friends meeting here for lunch today. Menu quite varied something for everyone and prices very reasonable. It’s a nice pub inside very clean and comfortable. We all chose different meals, from omelettes to salads. Everything hot and cooked well. Puddings were delicious too. The only grievance we had was the staff, two young ladies who clearly look like they’d rather be somewhere else. We had to keep asking for drink, pudding menus etc. then one of the pudding was wrong (they’re mistake? ) she rollled her eyes and bounced back to the kitchen. Whoever owns this establishment could do with a look at front of house, and lack of hospitality. Takings could be doubled if you got this right.

Mesa reservada para las 7 pm. Muy ocupado arriba y zona de bar. Nuestra mesa para 2 en una bonita esquina arriba. La comida estaba bien, nada de servicio especial estaba de nuevo bien. Bebidas un poco exageradas. Pinta de sidra y un vino tinto de más de £ 15. Han estado antes mientras se aloja en Whitby. ¡Dos niños Gritando no ayudaron! ¿Quién trae niños a esa hora de la noche y tratando de obligarlos a comer? No Kids After 8 pm.

Sausages hideously overcooked, chips and scraps delightful and generous portion.

We booked a one night stop travelling home to Norwich from Scotland. Pub notified in advance the restaurant would not be open. On arrival told bar would close at 7pm. (Not much point of a pub stay then!). Room wasn't really fit - no toiletries, broken light, Internet not working. But it was clean. Going out for a meal (doh!) Was advised there would be no staff staying in ovetnight and we could have an emergency contact (little use as mobile service poor). We said we weren't staying although they showed little or no interest. Faced a late night unwanted drive and lost a morning in lovely York. The pub just wasn't ready for guests. Deplorable way to treat people and positively unsafe. Avoid!

Increíble pub y buena comida. Personal amable y atento, la casera era servicial, educado y muy amable. El ambiente era agradable y animado justo lo que quieres de un buen pub. Gran selección de bebidas en el grifo y la selección de aperitivos era muy bueno. Iré cada vez que pase de ahora en adelante

Friendly landlady beer was nothing special. Gone down hill since last visit. Beer garden unkept and in poor shape. Hopefully in will improve was great pre covid busy clean and vibrant. It does have new managers now.

It was a good meal at a reasonable price

Has to be the worst Wetherspoons I’ve been in.! Had to clear our own table as all the unused tables were covered in used plates and cutlery. Drink tasted like it had chemicals in…possibly dishwasher detergent.? Ordered same food order as at other Wetherspoons, food was barely warm, soggy halloumi fries and pizza. Mayonnaise bottles were empty but still there to use….surly the staff know when stock is low.?! Hot chilli sauce tasted like it was off. Staff eventually started clearing tables, using an old mucky grey washing up bowl, walking around placing it on the table next to us whilst we’re eating. Very off putting and not professionally for a well known food establishment. Staff are miserable and do not appear happy in their chosen work role, felt like someone was making them work there under duress rather than it being a choice they’d made. No atmosphere what so ever…no music etc. will not be returning to this Spoons

I was impressed with the exterior of this building has i walked in. After a look around, i settled in the impressive beer garden and ordered via the app. I enjoyed a good Korean chicken sticky bowl with my favourite craft beer: Hazy Jane. After enjoying my meal and drink i had a look around and enjoyed a Jaipur. All in all a good visit, food and drinks for around £12. Would go again.

Didn’t finish this, brown overcooked fish, chewy. Undercooked peas. But everything was incredibly soggy too. I don’t get how they actually got it this bad 🤣. Needless to say, I’m leaving this review here to remind myself never to go here again

Most disrespectful bouncers I've ever experienced. Speaking very aggressively towards me and others in my party. Bar staff were rude " is that it?" And " why are you still here" when she didn't finish serving all the drinks, both with an attitude. Food is decent, some of the chairs are uncomfortable. Other reviews ive read for this place have mentioned the bouncers racial profile them which is completely out of order. Sort yourselves out! Other weather spoons aren't as bad as this one. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
