Cooplands Bakery in Selby

Got a caramel shortbread and a brownie - both tasted very fresh and lovely! It was very cosy to dine in and relax for a few minutes, will absolutely come back :)

Desayuné, pero decidí que es un buen día para disfrutar de un sándwich de desayuno. Pero esto no fue un placer. Me siento obligado a hacerles saber a todos lo horrible que era... las salchichas definitivamente tenían un par de días de antigüedad al menos, los hongos no estaban cocidos y el hachís marrón estaba rancio, mal cocido y frío. El personal es bastante desagradable también.

Salió dos veces mientras se alojaba cerca, primero para un desayuno mucho más barato que el supermercado al otro lado de la carretera. Luego, al día siguiente, para un pastel de queso y cebolla - pastel muy escamoso. También darme un capricho con un pastel precioso - tantos para elegir de yum. Personal agradable y muy eficiente

We were shouted at by staff for moving a table so we could all sit together so loudly the entire cafe went quiet and looked our way. All of our food was very very slightly warm- cold with a touch of warmth. I asked if my pasty could be heated up to be told that they weren’t allowed to do that. I don’t understand that- Starbucks etc heat up food all of the time?. I couldn’t eat mine, it really needed to be eaten warm as the filling had solidified into a strange gloopy texture. My kids liked their cookies! But we will not go back

Absolutely a jewel in the crown. Great service, products and staff at York Monks Cross. Special mention to staff member Emily D. Attentive and lovely person. Cooplands...be proud.

Food is lovely, staff were great but... 25p for a bag? Really, I can understand if it was a plastic bag that you can use again, but it's a paper bag that you can't use again. Paper breaks down saves the environment so well done on that side but a bit steep in price. Something to look at!

Ingredients are cheap and nasty, Large sausage sandwich on a roll that was falling apart, with one and a half tasteless sausages amongst mountains of cheap industrial margarine. Edible, only if your starving. Hash browns were ice cold and chewy, not something I've experienced before in a hash brown. Shame really.

Bought 2 x large egg custard’s & 4 X sausage rolls got home cut in half one of the egg custard’s and all the custard mix just ran out same with the second one ran out all over totally uncooked tried the sausage rolls it was like raw pastry part cooked disgusting

Quality isn't anywhere near as good as it was. Staff are lovely but on the slow side. Feels like they only have the vwey basics and hardly any of the popular stock. Better going to other local places.

Walked around estate of templenewsam on a crisp sunny day the crocus were splendid

Called in before travelling back North. Long queue to be served. Overcharged for 2 meal deals. Rubbish had flowed onto the top counter of both rubbish bins inside the shop.No sign of the milk flask, had to ask twice for milk. Would not revisit,!

I actually search for a Cooplands when travelling in and around yorkshire, as they are the best . The Monks cross one is in a perfect location and open till 7.30.pm

The Bakery looked very clean fresh inviting I'd never been in before But was glad I did .The cakes pastries and rolls looked very inviting And not like other bakeries Fresh well displayed And the staff at the counter were waiting on hand to help or serve you What was a nice change they were naturally welcoming ,friendly and happy 😊 To make your time in there a nice experience My freshly made order was done without any problem efficient and fabulous. Hidden away but a gem to visit this Bakery ✨️ I did comment on leaving ~ how great the staff were ☆☆☆ nice surprise and would recommend 😀 To anyone if your on this Retial Park

Really horrible service in store particularly the bigger geordie lady the shop needs an overhaul she was rather rude to my elderly mother and felt like we interrupted their snack time various members of staff eating on shop floor.

Rude staff, cheap food that can't claim to be good in anyway. Staff clearly overworked and nothing seems to be full or work

Very friendly staff, excellent products.

Used to buy 6 buns for £1 before I was shielding, went today, price increased by 92%, to £1.92. Disgraceful, and they are nothing special, get 6 better buns from Asda for about 70p, ad go there, won’t be buying these again🙁

You can tell a good bakery from their custard slice and this was up there with the best and cheap!! My family really enjoyed their selection of cakes too!

Stopped to grab something for lunch couldn't believe the range and how cheap it was, the best bit was it was all delicous

STOP! Don't go to the supermarket to buy factory cake,this bakery provides wonderful homemade products without the starchy oversweet rubbish from big name conglomerates,but don't take my word for it,drop by and avoid disappointment!

If we could have ordered one of everything in the store (and figured out a way to carry it out), we would have. My wife is still talking about the iced fingers. Plus, the staff was very patient with the clueless Americans who weren't quite sure what a "yum yum" was.

It never fails to disappoint after years it's still best place to go for pies cakes bread etc nice friendly staff

I absolutely love this bakery! Always consistent and 4 sausage rolls for £1 can not be beaten! They are always hot from the oven fresh too :)

The place in Acomb to buy cakes and deserts. Their sliced breads are great and freshly made on site. Unfortunately they only do soft breads.
