DAUGHTER DIDNT GET FOOD Absolutely discusted a member of staff can treat a 15 year old girl and her friend in this manner,she got soft drinks by 1 member of staff,then kicked out my another who was very rude. Just told my daughter she would get a refund(given no proof of this either,hopefully can track this through her app) She wasn't aware u had to be with an adult just for soft drinks and some food and wasn't explained this until just told to leave. ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTED IN SERVICE MY STAFF MEMBER, shouldn't treat anyone like that especially a child

Ridiculously slow service from staff who were clearly not interested. This was both at the bar and also from the lengthy delay in the food service, despite it ben mid afternoon and not particularly busy. Food was barely hot with the peas and 'mushroom' stone cold. Needs to up its act very badly.......

Wetherspoons isn't it. Always just 4 stars

Great little place in the heart of Selby. Really good selection of meals at a really good price.

I really enjoyed my couple of hours here. I had two Blonde ales and a can of regional ale. For lunch I had the reliably good nachos. For three drinks and the nachos the bill was less than £14. Very nice atmosphere.

Oh dear 14 people queing whilst 2 extremely slow and unobservant staff make a simple task difficult they walk past tables with empty plates and glasses whilst in a trance

Went for breakfast, we've never been disappointed with 'Spoons and we've been to many! This one was terrible, no tables cleared, floor had food under every other table, tea/coffee dispenser filthy, no milk, no tea bags and food was cold, not warm, cold when finally served!! sent it back but replacement just as bad, left it and left, would not recommend

Good beer, good food and a nice atmosphere. Typical Wetherspoons, always guarantee at least good, cheap drinks. I enjoyed it, would come again next time I'm in the area

Typical Weatherspoon's but has a local feeling. Good attentive staff. Great prices, great choice, and reasonable food. Decent local pub.

Great food, great friendly staff, and excellent service!

Had a skinny chicken burger with a beef patty, salad was fresh but too much red onion for me. Could have asked them not to put red onion in the salad but forgot. The chicken was a lovely, thick, tender buttermilk breast, cooked to perfection, the beef patty was nicely cooked too, I like thinner burgers so it suited me. They also have a perfect Sav Blanc, it's from a bottle not on tap.

Visited in January and enjoyed the 'Caledonian Burger Meal'. It was an okay venue on the whole and the service was friendly enough. Some areas of the venue are a lot brighter and modern (the bar area) than others (the main seating area - which could do with some TLC).

Visited for breakfast, I can't fault the breakfast, it was spot on and fairly priced . My only negative was the coffee was luke warm ,it's from a coffee machine so you can't do anything about it really. The toilets were beautiful! So clean and Fresh ,check out the pictures I have included. We ordered from the table and it was delivered nice and quickly.

The Giant Bellflower is a good wetherspoons. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a wide range of beers, lager and cider, including a good choice of cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales. The service was very quick despite the place being very busy. The mixed grill was well cooked and very tasty. The pub has a nice outside seating area.

Really nice fish and chips and pint of Stella shandy for less than £10. Probably the best value Restaurant meal in the UK. The Selby Wetherspoons is always our preferred location for a late afternoon meal.

The staff are wonderful they make you feel very special and. the customers are very friendly.my daughter and l go once a week.we travel from Doncaster and look forward to it all week.They are well worth there five stars across the board.welldone Giant BELLFLOWER..

Enjoyed meal steak and k7dney pudding

We all know Wetherspoons isn't fine dining but for the money you can't go wrong. Can be a little busy at times but if you manage to get a booth you're on a winner! I love the breakfast's, not sure I would choose Wetherspoons for anything else as Selby has a great choice of restaurants for dinners or evening meals. The breakfast's are great value for money and delivered to your table in minutes. I love the App, I wish more restaurants would adopt such an App. Simply sit down, order and pay for your food and it's there minutes later. Want a drink? Order another on the App.... it's there. Brilliant idea! Overall nice surroundings, good choice of food, fabulous coffee and staff are prompt & helpful. One of the best spoons I've been in.

This place is always full, mostly push chairs and prams. The staff work hard and are friendly and helpful.

Typical spoons, cheap drinks, friendly staff, good location.

Friendly staff and quick service...food good and initially didn't feel like the usual Spoonz (decor a little different)....quietish when we got there at 2.15 but started to get busier....would happily call again

Ordered chicken and maple cured bacon salad and got 3 small slithers of tomato,6 slithers of cucumber,a few small pieces of onion which I had to pick up with my fingers as they were too small to get with my fork,a small chicken breast sliced up to make it look more and a big pile of leaves at the bottom and no maple cured bacon.all in all about £1.50 worth of food.

Asked for hot and spicy grilled half chicken got lemon and herb with hot and spicy sauce poured over it . Tasted disgusting, so complained.Was told this was how it came . I have this meal on a regular basis and has never been like this before. Spoke to the manager ( Lauren ) after much arguing got a refund. Has put me off eating here ever again

Between July and August 2023, went there for my first job interview, the manager there (forgot her name the one with Glasses on) is very friendly to me when she ask me the questions on my first job interview. Every time I go there, the staff is very friendly. Every time I use the app to get a meal and a drink. They forgot the drink twice. I’m will be back

Selby was the destination for breakfast, because, well, why not? We'd never been so we took the chance. The town dating back over a thousand years is the birthplace of King Henry I. But far more importantly than him, Tommy Cannon of Cannon and Ball fame and the girl/woman who plays Belle Dingle on Emmerdale. I know! A must visit. Named after the giant bellflower found on the banks of the River Ouse which flows through Selby, the pub is a typical Wetherspoons establishment. We all know the score. Grab a a table and memorise the all important table number which is the key to the 'Spoons dream. Two traditional breakfasts were duly ordered and found their way to the right table in good time. They were almost hot, cooked reasonably well and the toast had barely hit the toaster. A common occurrence in Wetherspoons, that bread repels the heat from a toaster, or, possibly, it isn't toasted for nearly long enough. We opened the rock hard butter and scratched it over the warm bread. It was ripping it to shreds like an alligator shaking it's prey to death. Like I say, common. Aside from Breadgate, the breakfast was acceptable and we ate it while supping the black coffee from the ever-present hot drinks machine. No real complaints in The Bellflower, just warm up the butter and all is well.

The food may be cheap but it's pretty basic too. Decent coffee, though. The tables all needed wiping.

Well done management. Just been to the Giant Bellflower in Selby and what a pleasure, the premises were spotlessly clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, had drinks and a bar snack reasonably priced and good quality but more than that the upstairs gents toilets were very clean and had facilities to cater for someone like me who has had prostate cancer with bins and facilities that not many premises sadly do. Will definitely visit again

Nice central place to drop in for a drink or a meal. It's in the middle of the town centre so very handy for all your shopping trips...

As you would expect from the UK's best value public house / eatery....cheap deals! Full breakfasts...5 or 6pound each....unlimited tea or coffee at 99p...it's definitely a winner for me. The staff are always pleasant despite being very busy...the food is usually hot and decent.

Like this spoon bit quieter than most so service is great they an older female member of staff who can't do enough for you if she got time between clearing table and cleaning

What can I say about spoons?.... We used the app which was very efficient and served quickly. Good selection of drinks, didn't eat. We visit here regularly as a group and have fun in a good atmosphere

Lovely place food standard wetherspoons fayre what let's it down is choice and turnover of guest ales if one goes off or sometimes both then they are not replaced here other wetherspoons clean the line and get the next one on ..not here ? We have travelled here and there's been no real ale available several times ....annoying!

This has got to be the worst Wetherspoon's in the UK. Unlike most Wetherspoon's buildings which have character, just a large corridor from front of building to the rear. This is unfortunate for us as this is our nearest Wetherspoon's.

Great location to selby town centre, Bright and modern inside . Food is good value for the money its basic pub classics . would recommend.

Went with my parents for afternoon meal, they both had steak, it was tough and couldn’t chew it, my dad went and complained and they did another steak but still wasn’t any better, parents didn’t finish their meals. Poor meat and quality wouldn’t go again. Hardly surprising some are closing down. Wouldn’t recommend eating at Wetherspoons.

It WAS the WORST pub LUNCH I have ever had in my live. Steak so tough and all gri,ssle All round very very poor. infact I could have used steak as shoe leather I paid £35 for our meal just chips and steak bland just is not the word for it. Think staff just didn't give a @#£%.

Nice plenty seating . Food not as hot as it should be

My friend went to order the food and specifically asked for my food to be extremely hot due to me not enjoying warm or cold food. My food arrived ( The curry and rice ) and i was deeply disappointed. The food was tepid to cold. No steam or heat radiating from it at all. I immediately asked for it to be heated up and it was brought back a few minutes later. This should never have happened. Apart from this, the food was quite boring. I wouldn't choose that meal again.

As far as wetherspoons go this place is fine, food was better than some. Tables dirty and needed wiping but staff were very busy.

It's a spoons, you know what you're going to get and its super consistent. Food and service were both great, old man dry-heaving in the gents less so. He said he's fine so left him to it.

Just called in for lunch and Mrs C’s steak was fantastic! What made it special was the service we received from Lyndsay. It’s really great to meet someone who clearly enjoys going to work. No wonder she has been working at the same place for the last 16 years. Many thanks Lyndsay.

Food was good. Staff were friendly and never stopped. Wasn't a long wait for food at all. Lovely and clean . Would have given 5 for atmosphere but there were some about 20 years old screaming and effing and blinding ruined it a bit. But to be fair to the staff they told the morons to quite down. They told them about 3 times. Then they asked them to leave as it is a family pub. They then went round apologising to the other customers so 10 out of 10 to the staff

Been here several times now, it's a really nice place, very clean and airy, great range of drinks as per spoons, and a nice atmosphere, will definitely be returning

To cut a long story short I accidentally ordered 2 meals instead of 1 on the app so immediately I went to the staff and explained what had happened they told me there’s nothing they could do about it! If they had made the food I’d understand and that would be fair but they hadn’t even started the food and still wasn’t able to do anything about it. I came to Wetherspoons for a cheap meal as im on a budget and I’ve now ended up paying double the price for terrible food!!! I’ll never be back!!!!!
