Closed at 6.30pm despite advertising 8pm closing.

Returned here for the first time in years and was very disappointed. The fish & chips was well below average with greasy chips very evident. The table service was unprofessional, she wasn't particularly smart or even friendly, and kept wandering outside the cafe. All in all a poor experience albeit busy on a Friday dinner time.

smelly, greasy sits and tables, i saw how they doing burgers, straight from frozen to the old boiling oil, taste? = disgusting, high price, for simple potatoes (chips) without any specials + curry sauce? makes no sense 6gbp+ for a kids portion, and not tasty at all. I dont recommend this place, also faces of workers looks like they want to kill you because u r hungry.

Was it being racist or just rude, it’s hard to explain I walked into the shop and two staff are sat gisting, one on the phone with her boyfriend and the shop is a mess, dirty and filthy. These guys absolutely ignored my presence while continuing chewing loudly and the other on a call, when I finally get their attention they act as if I was speaking Spanish(this was a combination of racism and rudeness now) When they finally take my order one interesting Thing is, she said I can’t eat in but the shop clearly had it written customers are encouraged to eat in The fish was so soggy and messed up I had to throw the meal away Thanks for a very ugly experience while craving fish and chips all day Food: 2/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5

No drink and no tea cake in my order!

I don’t get to Bradford often but when I do I drop in here for either a fish butty or a cake butty. Well cooked, excellent crisp batter. It’s a straightforward city centre chippy. Came in on 28/2/24 and enjoyed every penn’orth of my fish butty. No frills but fab. Folk wanting baked beans on fish & chips need their heads looking at. Yorkshire caviar is the only addition required with fish and chips.

Good food but I have ordered from here 4 or 5 times but no stamps?

Frozen chips, the fish no bigger than a fish finger,when I complained I was told get a refund from just eat

They onlu sent fidh and peas and not chips as ordered.

Food had been sat waiting on a driver so wasn’t hot or crispy bit soggy not there usual standards at all I get it’s tea time and traffic busy but wait for a driver before u put it together as the quality would have been better I didn’t eat it as wasn’t nice so waist of money

The food arrived in the time stated but was a long time from leaving to arriving. By the time our order got to us, the food was lukewarm and the mushy peas were hard and cold. Not up to the usual standard, so disappointing.

Been twice now when visiting Bradford. Proper traditional English Fish n Chips. 3 fish sizes to suit all appetites and budgets. Nice n friendly Yorkshire service. Will go again and will recommend.

Literally hated my experience here. Music was loud and the lady serving taken forever to take my order and was just stood there singing and complaining very loudly about everything, even started complaining when more customers came in and there was just 3 of us. Got my chips just thrown in paper, no trey or anything to be able to actually eat them without unwrapping the paper and them all falling out. Asked if we could have a trey or something so we can eat them and was told no, it costs too xtra to sit down and started serving next customer. Also horrible food hygiene in fact zero food hygiene. Just touching all the food and grabbing the chips with her hands and then standing there with her hands in her pocket

Visited this traditional Bradford fish & chip restaurant for the first time since lockdown. On arrival, I received a pleasant welcome & was immediately shown to a table. I ordered the king size fish & chips, peas, bread & butter & tea, all for a total cost of £11.00. The quality was excellent, with a crispy batter, an adequate supply of well-cooked chips & plenty of bread & butter. However, my only complaint was the fact that they only had mushy peas available, whereas all other fish & chip shops I have been to have an additional choice of either garden peas, baked beans, or both. My overall opinion: With deliciously cooked fish & chips and a pleasant view overlooking Centenary Square, this restaurant is certainly recommendable, and yes, I will go again, only I hope to see garden peas + baked beans on the menu the next time I visit. Missing beans cos ran out and only single burger when says double. Don’t accept high prices for half of food.

Decent food. Wanted to eat in but they only do take away after 6 (did not see any notices to state that). Service was OK and fish cooked fresh. We had a meal deal and portions OK.

They need to start letting customers put there condiments on them self's. And stop watering down the vinegar

Both haddock portions were thin, greasy and was more batter than fish also hard batter. So disappointed as its usually lovely food from here!

Always cooked as you can request. Friendly staff. Facing the City Hall clock, I can keep time for catching my hourly bus there.

Went for the first time today we thought the service was excellent waitress very friendly, fish and chips mushy peas scraps pot of tea bread and butter regular portion was absolutely spot on will definitely be going again, can't understand any of the bad comments we were very happy

RUDE STAFF! Went there yesterday. Need to learn communication skills as stood for good 5 minutes so lady can take order as she was simply ignoring not me even other customers. Rolling eyes on customers choice and if ask any questions tone was rude. It was one of the best chippie shop but I am afraid with such staff it will not long last to be good chippie shop. Unfortunately there was no option of 0/5.Not even deserve 1 start with such rude staff!

Totally unhappy with this restaurant. Order not correct and a delivery driver that couldn't read door numbers so took himself for a walk with my food even though he was parked outside my house!

Best fish and chips I ever had.

Miserable staff! The woman who served us obviously couldn't care less about customer service and had a face like thunder. The chips we ordered were really greasy and inedible, had to chuck the lot in the bin after a few bites, they were that disgusting and left a nasty taste. That's where all the food they serve belongs, in the waste, as they are a complete waste of money and it's a complete waste of time going there. I strongly advise to steer clear when looking for somewhere to eat in Bradford. I wanted to give a 0/5 but 1 is the lowest you can post.

I ordered 2 bread cakes only received 1 also the fish chips were rock hard. They definitely weren’t fresh. Mushy peas cold and dry. I am really disappointed with quality. I paid good money for the food

Have to say the menu states the meal for 2 is regular fish. As a regular of this restaurant I can sat for sure that these are fkin small fish. Not happy at being charged £20 for a kids meal!

Asked for a fish that was on the restaurant menu only, but I needed takeaway. They were happy to accommodate, with a small wait time to cook. Added to a large chip portion (it was about 2pm and I'd skipped breakfast) All in all less than £9 takeaway. Possibly the best fish and chips I've had for ages.

This has been my favourite chippy for over a decade, maybe even longer due to going here as a youngster. The last couple of orders have missed the mark. The portion sizes (especially the fish) keep getting smaller and the finer details are missed. No salt and vinegar on the chips, choice of drink incorrect etc. The curry sauce seemed reheated and many of the chips weren’t cooked through (hard and had to be binned) I would like a full refund please. In the future I will be maybe consider else where. Shame really

A Shame cause In the past been decent fish and chips, unfortunately today I sat down for table service which I was instructed to do by a sign, staff smiled when I came in to which I was sat there for at least 10 minutes with no table service I left the premises, all I had from the experience was overhearing what the staff got up to the previous night like I previously commented decent fish and chips if get served but a no from me if your face does not fit you may not get served

Such a shame today. I get food from here a few times and never had a problem but today I was let down. The fish and chips tasted and looked like they been sitting in oil for awhile was not able to eat a lot of it. Maybe it was the time of day. Still not going to put me off ordering again from here

Ordered meal for 2 with garlic mushrooms as an extra and I was disappointed the chips where chewy and hard the mushrooms where tasteless and when I bit into one I had oil squirting all the place very rubbery aswell 30 quid with delivery wasted won't order again

Hallumi fries looked and tasted like mozzarella sticks abit over priced for 6.55. No sweet chilli sauce either as got sent 2 pots of curry sauce. Meal for one was a good fish and chips but portions are small for what you'd expect for 11.

Easily the best battered Fish I've had and I'm a coach driver, so I like my food. Try the Fish Butty, it's a revalation! They don't do that in the West Midlands where I'm from. I asked my local chippy for one, they just looked at me like I was gone out!

Mushy peas are amazing!! Chips not bad. My son enjoyed the haddock. Definitely will be eating from here again!

A classic british chippy, with eat-in table service, and food served on real plates! The food (fish and chips, obviously) was excellent. We had a great meal here.

Bad experience!! Starting with the delivery driver who believed it WASN'T necessary to call or ring the door bell, he just left the food on the doorstep. The fish was dry from being fried in oil which was too hot or it was old fish left to dry out under lamps.

Well the food was as expected, however didn't get what was ordered. Southern Fried Chicken + Invisible Chips for £7.25..... might as well just not bother ordering from here again.

Excellent fish & chips, fried in beef dripping the way they should be fried. Very tasty. The staff were very chatty and friendly. The only negative feature of the chippy, (apart from it's rather naff name), was the size of the tables & chairs in the dining-in area. I am admittedly rather over-sized, but my more averagely proportioned mates also found it difficult to squeeze in between the fixed table and chairs.

Driver had difficulty finding address (though most of them do), otherwise excellent quality yet again from an excellent chippy.

Ordered fish and chips to share and they asked if we wanted on separate trays cut fish in half with half portion chips on our own tray. Lovely freshly cooked white cod and hot crispy chips lovely!
