I’ve just called them to let them know they made a mistake with my food. I’d ordered chop suey and they sent sweet and sour mess. He informed me that that was how they did my dish instead of admitting their mistake. What they sent was actually inedible. Chopsuey should have load of veg and should be in a light sauce. This was in a gelatinous mess.

I ordered duck and pancakes and salt and pepper chips duck and chips had been microwaved and cucumber had mould on it sauce still served in polystyrene even though this has been banned in uk food ended up in the bin will never be ordering from here again .

It is absolutely despicable that having the time to drive from Ilkley to Silsden to collect my takeaway, that when I get home & start to plate up some Salt & Peeper Chips for my partner, I look at them believing them to have been from Friday night. They looked dark overcooked & hard & when I ate one, it was hard & luke warm. ordering takeaways from here for over 10yrs & only the 2nd time that I've had to complain. I spoke to the person that took the order & she tried to tell me they were freshly cooked, then to add insult to injury, she asked me to wait a minute, came back pretending to be somebody else & asked 'how could she help?' So I told her that I recognised her as being the same person I was just speaking to! Told her again they were not fresh & had been re-cooked as they were hard. She replied no they were fresh because if they'd been recooked, they'd be hard! So, I said that is exactly what I have just told you twice! There are 2 Chinese takeaways in Ilkley, & if I ever order anything from The Rice Bowl again & I have to complain & you try to lie your way out of it, it'll be the last time I order from you & will save my time & peteol & shop local!

Literally the best Chinese... the peking hot and sour soup is the best I've ever had...highly recommended! Great food and great service every time!

Been eating here most weeks for the last 7 years since moving to the area. It's our Sunday treat. The menu's awesome - huge with plenty of choice. The food is delicious. We've tried loads of dishes. The delivery's always on time, often early. The staff are lovely and treat us really well - e.g. if we ever forget to request a meal the way we usually have it they call us up to check the order. We're sad we can no longer order online as this was easier for us - to pay by card - and unfortunately we now order a little less frequently. But we don't get our Chinese anywhere else - if we're having Chinese, we're having a Rice Bowl

This is a takeaway only and very popular. Have been using Rice Bowl for a few years, as George’s Place makes you wait so long, even when you’ve ordered in advance. Food is nice, especially salt n pepper chips, but the number of times they’ve got my order wrong is beyond a joke. Need to pay more attention to detail... Also, what’s the big idea about cash only?

A friendly, local Chinese takeaway. Clean and reasonably priced. I have been eating here for over 4 years and have never been disappointed. If you like Chinese food I can recommend the Rice Bowl. Still as good as ever.

We live in Glusburn and have tried all the local Chinese this is by far the best in the area. Delivery is always with a smile and the food is hot and tasty.

Good food and service. I was a little worried about ordering after seeing some reviews but the food arrived quickly and the delivery driver was very friendly. We had chicken fried rice, curry sauce and salt and pepper chips. Apart from a lot of onions on the chips, I can’t complain about anything. Very tasty!

Being a Saturday night and so close to Christmas I pre ordered online well ahead to avoid disappointment, not so .... Our meal was due to be delivered at 7.15, at 7.30 I called and was told “ I will try to find it” and had the phone put down on me, we waited, still nothing so called again and was told 10 mins, 20 mins later the food arrived 45 mins late and was cold, the duck for the pancakes was so dry and hard it was inedible, So disappointed, no apology, not even free delivery- very poor indeed, we will not be ordering again

Got home late on Thursday from work and we decided to order a Chinese from The Rice Bowl, what a huge disappointment the food was. We ordered Salt n Pepper ribs which were cremated, onion rings that were burn, a chicken curry that was like wall paper paste and noodles which were tasteless. Cost was £18.10 delivered (which was on time) I called the take away on Friday evening to complain about the awful food, they said i should have complained the evening before, so theres nothing they can do, or prepared to do, I asked if the owner could contact me, Still waiting for his call. I wont be ordering from here again in a hurry.

Service was quick and staff friendly and polite. Food was very good and not too expensive. Would go there again.

It’s ok. Not the best Chinese I’ve had but not the worst. I didn’t enjoy the curry sauce very much, a bit thin and dark almost gravy. Not sure how often it’s warmed up but I had a dicky tummy the following morning. One I will avoid. The staff were pleasant though so maybe a bad day although with food, there should never be a bad day!

The staff took the time to discuss what was vegan on the menu (much to the amusement of other customers) 😅and the following are suitable for vegans Mixed Veg fried rice-😋😋 Mixed Veg with Cashew nuts- also yummy Tofu with mixed veg- also lovely though if I go again I just preferred the cashew nut dish. They do chips and it was a delicious meal. Also do delivery. Will definitely be back. Note it’s cash only

Arrived late, it wasn't what we ordered. Afraid to say it went in the bin. Waste of money, we were really looking forward to it too.

Ordered tonight. Told 1hr 15 wait as very busy. Fair enough. After 2hrs phoned to see if there was a problem. Told by girl answering phone it would be out soon. No apology at all. Food delivered after 2 1/2 hrs. No apology. Couldn’t care less about customers. Food ok so go elsewhere to someone who cares about the people that are keepin* their business going

We drive a 20 mile round trip to use the Rice bowl, found it by accident and haven't looked back, beats anything we have locally to us, the food is always of a good quality and the service friendly and prompt.

Have used The Rice Bowl for delivery and pick up in silsden and find the quality of food very good and service pleasant and punctual.

Pretty standard to be honest not bursting with flavour but was okay, hygienic and lovely staff just not the best food

The best Chinese I have ever had-and spending 4 years at uni- I had quite a lot. Always good, cheap and big portions. I know people who order from here miles away! Salt and pepper dishes are a must!

Food is always delivered quickly and always good quality. We particularly like the fried rice dishes that are non greasy.

Generous portions and perfectly OK as a source. The mixed special starter is fine for more than 2. The special with crispy noodles was also fine. Not particularly special but a very reasonable take away

I drive over 50 miles on the premis of visiting family; any excuse to get a takaway from The Rice Bowl. The choice of food on the menu is extensive, it tastes absolutely delicious and is great value for money. The staff are friendly and willing to talk you through the meals, and add extra spice if you want. You definately don't get short changed on the portion size; it is really good value for money. They have free delivery within 3 miles and offer free extras depending on the amount spent. If either living in the area or passing through, make sure you enjoy a meal from The Rice Bowl - I can't recommend it enough.
