We placed our order at 18:14 and didn’t receive our food until 19:45. I understand problems occur and the people who answered the phone were lovely when I rung to ask where it was. However, when the food arrived, it was barely warm, chips were undercooked and the fish wasn’t freshly cooked as was stated on the phone (all orders are cooked before they go out the door). Such a shame as the fish did taste nice.

Not a good one on this occasion. I think this might be the Worst fish and chips ive ever had! This place should seriously consider another business. The fish was cremated and the chips barely cooked. Just eaten fish chips and peas from this friendly local chippy, and couldn't be more pleased. Great portion size, fresh as a daisy, and great value. Will definitely be going g back to try the rest of the menu. Thanks!

Foods great just let down by the delivery drivers who stare at you constantly and are seen picking up cigarette ends outside on a night other than that nice place and food

Worst fish and chips I've ever had fish was really rubbery chips were part cooked mushy peas was like water not ordering from that chippy again

Best fish n chips by far in Hull and a very reasonable price staff very polite and cheerful will definitely call in again

Great service, food is lovely but could have been a little fresher. Spam fitter batter could have done a little longer in the fryer. I prefer the curry sauce to be a little thicker. Chips are nice but not awesome. I need to try at peak times to see if it's better.

Absolute recommended place for a beautiful day! Ordered medium fish and chips special twice for only £7.90 and the amount you get is crazy good. Gravy pot is 110% big enough. The fish and chips are freshly cooked right infront of you if you enter the shop. The fish is also perfectly done as it is always tender and easy to pull apart and tastes amazing. That goes for the same for the chips. So, for anyone that wants a good meal, for a good price should definitely get there!

We use these on just eat always a fast delivery and the food is hot and lovely

1st time ordering from here .Ordered through Uber Eats .2 x Jumbo fish and chips .Order arrived a little earlier but that was welcome. Really nice chips and a really big piece of skinless fish cooked just right .I do prefer skin on ,but however it was so good without We will definitely be back for more

I didn't even want to leave 1 star absolutely disgusting hard smelly cardboard like fish undercooked in place and rock hrd in others will never never order from here gain ws poorly the dy fter from 1 bite of what smelt like sewage. Awfulllll do not go here.

Absolute rubbish. Spent £20 odd pounds on this and never again will I order from here. The food was cold the fish was as dry as hell and very crumbly. Chips didn't taste right. Everyone one of us left our food. Won't be ordering from here again. Should of just had a slice of toast. Disappointing to say the least

Caused myself and my partner to vomit during the night and into morning after eating from here. Never have I had such a reaction from Chip shop food. We had fish chips sausage and pattie to share. Never again.

Good quality food at a very reasonable price, also delivered on Just Eat.

Staff courteous. Looked clean, Food was piping hot throughout & ready in a timely fashion.

After trying several F&C takeaways (for delivery) me and the missus have settled on GR and have enjoyed it half a dozen times (usually off Just Eat). The spam fritters are massive and absolute quality, really enjoy the fish, and the chips are your standard massive portion. If anything, the gravy could stand to be a touch thicker but apart from that I have nothing but praise for GR and will continue to order from here whenever we get the craving for fish & chips 👍

Son in Scotland organised fish and chips for a birthday treat arrived on time very hot fish was so large at to break it to fit on plate my wife had a Pattie thoroughly enjoyed enough chips left to feed a small army thanks for a enjoyable meal will be back

❌😷 No health precautions in place for Covid!? The staff don't wear face masks, 3 customers waiting inside also wasn't wearing masks. This is at a time when Hull has more Covid cases than anywhere else in the UK! - Disgraceful attitude to the pandemic and to the health and safety of their customers. Their fish and chips are very 'mediocre' and a bit on the greasy side for my liking anyway so I decided to carry on walking to Bamboo Garden instead

Awful food and service. Ordered at 8, food didn’t arrive until 9 completely soggy, rang to let them know. Was told a replacement would be sent straight away, 50 minutes later and still waiting (not expecting it to come now as they’re shut but had no communication) do NOT Recommend at all!

If I could give less stars I would. Delivery took 1 hour and 20 minutes. When the food arrived it was stone cold. When I contacted the restaurant the staff where rude and abusive. They said they were very busy but the delivery driver said "it isn't even that busy" would not recommend at all.

15 year old went to the door to pay and was short changed by the delivery driver. Rang the shop they said they will send the driver back, 2 hours later still no money back. Not good in these circumstances when money is tight as it is. Disappointed

Understand that it is good Friday and adhering to social distancing but ordering online for collection to be told you have to wait in the queue since 16:30 and it is now 18:25 is a bit ridiculous. Staff coming out for cigarettes telling people “ you can have it when it’s ready” and “I can’t cook it any faster” seeming to have no customer service. disgusting !! Another member of staff wearing gloves touching her face and hair then the door and going back in to serve. Management needs to have a word

Absolutely disgusting service, the food I ordered took nearly 2 hours to arrive and when it did arrive food was missing. When I called up about the missing food they refused to send it out after we had already paid for it and then proceeded to tell me they were closed an hour and a half before closing time. Would not recommend to anyone.

Ordered my food but whilst waiting the delivery driver walked straight in from his car and without washing his hands started handling the food. Needless to say I cancelled my order and left.

What a sham delivery came 30 mins late and he couldn't change a £20 for £15 ridiculous so I sent the food back

I put one star to give a review but I wouldn't even give it one star, I rung up for a delivery they said 50 minutes and after waiting and 1 hour and 10 minutes I rang back to see what was happening they said they had the wrong postcode and to give them another 10/15 minutes and again after waiting 30 minutes I rung back up to cancel the order because it would ov all been cool and she was so rude to me and just kept saying it's on its way didn't even apologize then just put the phone down on me. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

So, wife says, take our details and we will come by and pick up a free fish another day. Nope we are not doing that get a replacement now or you get nothing. The chips were also anemic and under cooked and soggy as the curry sauce wasn't in a little tub but poured over them. Very rude woman my wife was dealing with, so belligerent. Quick service and good quality fish enjoyable

Got a Saturday lunch time delivery through Just Eat. The fish was lovely with nice big flakes. The portion of fish and chips was generous and the chips were nice. Would definitely order again

Good customer service very nice and clean, just had spam fritter chips and curry sauce we'll worth the price enjoyed every mouth full.

Fish smelt & taste discusting think it had gone off, also found a black curly hair in chips, when rang to tell them to check their fish as they don't understand English very well they thought I was ringing to find out where an order was no matter how may times I said different.

Nice hot food, staff friendly, great value for money. Would highly reccomend
