Lovely staff, management and rooms worth the quality. If you need a place to stay in Hull this is the place to be for all the amenities the city has to offer. Drinks are fair priced and £1.99 for an ale or a vodka will save you fortunes elsewhere. Plus, the workers are lovely to chat with so long as you behave yourself and enjoy the company.

Very busy due to Hull FC playing at home

Popped in after seeing a concert at Hull City Hall. It was busy but we were served quickly. Great value. Less than £4 for a pint and a small glass of wine.

City centre venue, plenty of seating and welcoming to Argyle fans who made a midweek trek to Hull.

Plain rooms, similar to travelodge. For the price, it's well worth it. The only issue was that the bar goers made getting into the hotel a little difficult, but not impossible. Would recommend for a cheap and cheerful stay in Hull.

It's always packed in there and can get very messy and loud but the service is friendly and the food has been always ok I mean u get what u pay for :)

Visited during my recent trip to Hull. The service was great, and the food was excellent value for money. Enjoyed a few beers from the festival selection. Worth a visit.

Highly recommended. However, it gets very crowded on weekends.

Popped in for breakfast on the way to the railway station. Only place in the area that we could find open for breakfast around 8am.

Argyle on tour ! Not many redeeming features in this Spoons. As per usual absolutely packed at 5pm in the afternoon and it's just one big room with scary little hideaways punched into the walls with a table and seats in. It looks like a Debenhams shop on the exterior....and they are all closed down! Food looked ok and my pint ordered on the App arrived in good time...

This place is always full to the rafters when I have walked past from the station but we thought we'd give it a try and were pleasantly surprised, in fact it was fantastic! Great service, fantastic value for money food and drinks and the pub was in great condition. We will go back and have a look at the roof terrace on a sunnier day😊

Never had any diet mixers took ages for tables to be cleared

Had lunch and it was really good, £20 for two meals and drinks. Service was fast and food tasty. Will go back for sure.

It was nearly full at 2.30pm for late lunch.

I like the place except for one thing. The coffee machines seem to be an afterthought. They are often empty and it's a bit of a job to get anyone to see to them. Last week there were no sugars, no stirring sticks and a lot of the options on the machines were blanked out. There are 2 machines and they are often in high demand. You can tell that something is wrong as you approach the area where the machines are situated. Long queues waiting at the one machine that still seems to be functioning. It would be comical in another context as the queues blocked staff carrying meals from the kitchen to the customers. And still nothing gets done. I have visited a few Wetherspoons in various parts of the country and this situation has never occurred in any one of them. Not only that many of the other Wetherspoons still have milk jugs for people wanting tea. Not Hull though, our last visit to a Wetherspoons prior to this one was in Plymouth. And it was everything that Hull wasn't, including the coffee machine.

Usual spoons, good selection of food and drink, food excellent value for money and the Admiral of the Humber is in a good location close to the railway and bus station and also not too far from the marina & old town

Great value for money, fast service spoiled by the inability of weatherspoons to work out a way of stopping the entry door from latching open spilling the heat out on a cold day, the good people of Hull don't close doors behind themselves as many are born in fields

We had our first experience staying at a wetherspoons hotel we couldn't fault it. Great staff and accommodation. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable 😉

Good food, good beer at a reasonable price 👌

Popped in early one morning for breakfast before 8 am. It was great value and I really enjoyed it.

This is a review of the bar "The Admiral of the Humber" a typical Wetherspoons pub with classic pub grub and a wide range of reasonably priced drinks. There is a hotel above this bar but we have never used it. The bar is conveniently located in Hull city centre, not far from the combined railway and bus station. It is accessed directly from the street without steps so suitable for those less mobile. The toilets are also accessible without any steps. After placing our order at the bar, the food was served at our table quite quickly. We had both chosen the fish and chips with mushy peas. The price included an alcoholic drink, we chose Shipyard Pale Ale and a pint of Strongbow cider. Everything was delicious and extremely good value. The fish was really well cooked and piping hot. As with most Wetherspoons pubs there is no music and the tv is usually on a news channel with the sound muted and subtitles turned on. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped by for dinner. Much improvement of the menu which is good. Quick service and great price too. The atmosphere was better than I expected, probably because most punters were probably staying in the hotel as opposed to off the street.

Sorry to say it was a bad end to a lovely family gathering. Didn't get halve of our food orders and the food we did receive was very disappointing, undercooked and cold . When I brought the problem to the attention of management they did nothing to compensate us and try to improve our experience here ... Absolutely appalled.

Had a meal before Squeeze Concert. It's 2 mins walk from theatre. Always very busy. But found a table after 10 mins. Quick service, tasty food, cheap drinks.

Does exactly what you need - found a quiet booth (table 1), and even though there were plenty of customers, it was nice and quiet.

Loads of staff on but not so willing to service people. One even just standing around on their mobile while biting his nails meanwhile younger staff running round around doing most of the work.

Popped into this spoons while I had a couple hours before catching my train about a five mins walk nice sized pub friendly staff & a bonus being a male toilets on ground level for both men & women. Hardly ever the case in most spoons I didn't eat here myself but the food the people around me were eating looked very good

Very good service especially from a lovely lady called Heather.

Central location in town, convenient for food or drinks when out and about. Quite busy at most times and short wait on orders, but service is fast and no complaints about food or drinks ! (Didn't stay here, just visited the wetherspoons)

El joven con gafas y barba estaba en un viaje de poder y se negó a servir a mi amigo (que tiene 37 años , calvo y barba hasta el pecho) por no tener DNI. También se escuchó al gerente amenazar a otro cliente con allanamiento de morada, ya que supuestamente se le prohibió hacerlo.

I’m rating it as a zero management red hair was disgusting literally no helpfulness it was literally customers that helped me I think having a child with special needs given the fact it’s invisible disability that is very highlighted lately Weatherspoons needs to be up to date with educating its staff especially management And talking to customers agreed with the same complaints I personally think of a business this high up and respected is an embarrassment

Ordered one American small burger clearly stated at bar no chips no salad staff forgot waited over 45 minutes not enough time to eat it took burger home for dog they then got order wrong and brought it with chips could not get anything right not even busy very poor service not hotel this is about the pub

Excellent location for Hull City center. Super rooms, A1 value for money, very impressed.

I don't rate the breakfast here anymore.....beans in a ramekin that you could count on one hand, sloppy bacon, sausages that are tasteless....sorry but it's a no from me, I'd rather pay the extra and get a decent breakfast elsewhere....like McCoy's 👍

Exactly what you would expect from a spoons. Great location including a rooftop seating area. Service is fast and staff are great and pretty friendly.

Can you please confirm your pizzas are now not fresh as I had one yesterday and the base was pre-made and not nice at all they use to be very good is this a cost saving because if so it’s a bad choice

We did not have a room but went for Breakfast absolutely brilliant service from bar staff and gentlemen who brought the food to us .I can honestly say that it was the best breakfast we have had we would most certainly go there again. Thank you to all staff at Admiral of the Humber absolutely brilliant.

I love this place so much. I come here a lot to just chill and have a nice drink and some decent food. Staff are really nice and helpful plus I like that it's disabled friendly.

Ordered a Mixed Grill and a pint of Stella and the total price was just over £11. The food was really nice and chargrilled, the meat was cooked well and was medium and just pink... great cheap place to go. Personally I would pay more for a better portion of meat... it was really thin but what I would expect for the price.

Food was spot on wasn't waiting to long and was piping hot so definitely freshly cooked drinks we wasn't waiting long at all used the app so kept things quick and minimal very happy

Come in for a coffee....thinking of something to eat but the cleaning of tables has put me off.....eventually taken plates away from tables but leaving left over food, no cleaning what so ever, I've been her 30 minutes now and still not cleaned...and the place is quiet

App is useless ordered food took the money out but no order on the system. Have to wait now for the money to be back paid

we went for a drink at past 9pm on a wednesday and me and my girlfriend both had a coke she’s very heavily pregnant so she cannot drink alcohol we are both above 18 and i understand she didn’t have ID but no reason to not allow us to drink our Pepsi outside the building as we accepted that we couldn’t in the building the staff member was okay but she as being pregnant wouldn’t be surprised she’d turn her away for needing the toilet she struggles to walk as it is and was the nearest non club drinking place open

Good old Spoons, decent food, nice staff.

Nice place for me because of the cheap ales on offer. Enjoy sitting outside upstairs in the sunshine very peaceful . The breakfast is good.

Good atmosphere and cheap drinks, table service was a tiny bit slow... But it was rammed so it was expected that's why they still got 4*.

We arrived early before check-in (14:00) but the member of staff that helped us let us check in early as we need to catch a train to Beverly. The room was great for the price paid and a lot of tea and biscuits if you fancy a brew. The toilet was clean and the shower was massive! I would definitely stay again if I'm back up in Hull.

Booked one night, then added another, lovely place cheap food and beer, Rooms very spacious and Clean. Loved my steak can't wait to do this again for a couple nights.

Very dissatisfied with this public house. Ordered food then half hour staff came and told us no more food is going to able to be served they let us pay and wate then discided to tell us we were unable to have a meal. We were both starving so very disappointed indeed. Awful service and very dirty tables Zero stars

The Wetherspoons is typical of all Wetherspoons. Good food at affordable prices with a good cup of coffee ( with free refills). I don't drink alcohol and therefore cannot comment on them.
