The New Inn in Leeds

Not a great welcome from behind the bar which was shame. Seems to be a locals pub and not very welcoming to outsiders. We was going to eat but decided not to and our reason was because the menus where dirty with old food residue on them (Not been changed in a while) the special menu look old and dirty. Left after one drink.

We visited as we were staying on holiday and the New Inn was just around the corner from us. We ended up visiting 3 times as the staff where friendly and the food was really nice. We actually booked a table for Sunday Lunch for family who were visiting us from Nottingham. Great service, friendly atmosphere and nice food.

We ordered a BLT and an ham salad sandwich with chips and noticed that there was a bean with bean juice stuck on the bottom of our ham salad sandwich brought this to the attention of a member of staff who replied it must have been on the worktop should the work top not have been wiped clean before the sandwich was made didn't get apology just I will tell the chef

We have eaten here before and it has always been busy, with many people eating, which is a always a good sign. We booked a table close to Christmas for a family lunch and were given a quiet table away from the noisy bar area. The landlord was most welcoming and ensured we all were looked after, despite some more difficult older family members! Food was, as usual very good and there were no complaints regarding service and quality of any of the meals. They serve a good pint too!

One of the best in Wetherby, has some lovely food too! Not to mention the quiz night run on Sunday by Johnny Gibson, one of the best quizzes in the area, you're guaranteed a barrel of laughs whilst participating. The team behind it all cannot do enough to help you, friendly, welcoming and all around good genuine people. 🙌🏻

What a great pub this is! We found it by chance when visiting friends. We love the traditional style of the decor and the staff are really friendly. Nowadays there is another attraction and its Johnny's quiz! Not to be missed cos its so much fun. You dont need to be brainy to join in as the questions are so varied and anyone could win with all the twists and turns. Using tablets that Johnny provides, he guides you through using them, so you dont need to be tech savvy. Its fast but with lots of breaks in between the rounds to go and get drinks. Oh what a night!

We’ve been coming here especially for Johnnys quiz on a Sunday afternoon for a couple of months, but have started coming in whenever we do get chance as the bar staff are very friendly, drinks are fairly priced and it’s a warm welcoming atmosphere. Haven’t tried food as yet but it does look great so will be doing in the near future (when I can get a babysitter!) would recommend a visit!

The pub is disgustingly dirty and unclean.. The worst bit... The kitchen is opposite the gentlemens toliet and the kitchen door is always open... This Sunday I went in and the kitchen door is open and the food prep for the Sunday lunch, so cuts of beef etc where in the door.. .. Less than two feet is the men's toliet and it has been destroyed and I mean extrement everywhere which the staff hadn't bothered to clean up. Awful and very unsafe.. Please don't eat here

Amazing Sunday lunches! Some of the best roasties I've ever had! And the waffle desert is amazing 🤩 highly recommend the pub quiz on Sundays from 4pm

Went in this evening with my wife intending to order food. Got two drinks but it was so noisy with some drunken women in the front of bar we decided not to bother. Shame, we used to eat in the bew inn when LLoyd had it. Its pants now. Drinks were good though.

Excellent lunch. Lovely to see them serving food again and 4/4 meals great. Friendly staff and good value.

Was in Wetherby for food festival was a little expensive so decided to visit the New Inn for Sunday lunch,they have a new chef so decided to give it a go we was very impressed ,lovely pub friendly staff. we had gammon and beef lt was lovely everything was hot, and fresh vegetables too the roasties were lovely. is definitely worth a visit

I attended the New Inn with a number of my colleagues for one of their leaving meals. They served and took everyone else's food order and by the time they got to me and 2 others they decided they wouldn't take our food order and were shutting the kitchen. It sounded like the one poor guy in the kitchen was overwhelmed by the number of orders, maybe getting some more kitchen staff would be a good idea. We then had to leave to go get food somewhere else as it was our lunch hour, very disappointed.

I came to The New Inn on my lunch hour with my work colleagues for one of their leaving do. They served and took 8 of my colleague's food orders but when they got to the last 3 of us they told us they were shutting the kitchen and would not take our orders. There was no apology for this inconvenience and me and the two others had to leave the do early to get food elsewhere. Very frustrating.

Family meal Sunday lunch . Don’t bother was awful . Water gravy , burnt offering in Yorkshire pudding , meat was hard , veg was undercooked. Shame , this place was brilliant for food before a recent change in management. Disappointing.

Pre-covid (when I last visited), this pub had a lovely atmosphere at lunch time, busy with an excellent menu to suit all tastes and prices. If you weren't there by midday, you were in danger of not getting in seat. Now the place is quiet. The menu is lacklustre and many of the items weren't available. Prices have gone up (inevitably). The food was indifferent. What a pity.

Used to be a nice pub with nice clientelle. Now they are doing Karaoke. How chavy is that. Totally ruining this pub. What a shame. Leave the KARAOKE rubbish to black bull please

Not sure they really understand how social distancing works, there is a screen to stand and order but rarely used. If you wanted to be on the track and trace you had to enter your details via your own phone, they are not taking details...

Again visit to Wetherby had meal Saturday night very friendly waitress cutlery came in paper bag drinks ordered and bought to at table distancing from bar felt lot safer than in one up the road meal lovely and everything spot on well done New Inn...

Wetherby is an ideal place to break your journey from the A1 there is more choice than the services. And it's ideal to fill up the fuel is far cheaper.

Management, they seem to be setting people up, twice my Friend has been in there, both occasions he has been set upon.

Ideal for a stop off and to grab a live game, as long as Leeds are playing in any sporting code! Marcelo Bielsa lives around the corner apparently, however there is no plastic barrel in his honour at the New Inn to sit on.

Tomó siglos para que llegara la comida. Ojalá hubiera pedido la hamburguesa de mi hija en lugar de la salchicha y el puré. Burger se veía y sabía muy bien, pero el puré estaba seco y sin sabor.Esperanza por mejores cosas cuando se pongan de acuerdo. También señaló que eran entrevistas publicitarias para un equipo completamente nuevo hace un par de semanas.

Me meto de vez en cuando y realmente me gusta el lugar. Hoy en día, faltaban muchísimo tiempo para ser servidos, escasez de cerveza, mesas llenas de platos sucios, ni rastro de nadie a cargo. Este solía ser el mejor pub de la ciudad ahora está desechando el fondo

I went in today for a drink and some food and the service was terrible, I go in the new inn regularly and it’s always been spot on, the manager has changed and you can tell. What a shame!!!

Habiendo reservado una mesa para las 5: 30 pm, a la llegada, encontramos nuestro cartel reservado pero tuvimos que limpiar la mesa nosotros mismos, pero todavía no se había limpiado ni se habían repuesto los cubiertos. Por lo tanto, estábamos un poco preocupados por lo que vendría. Sin embargo, pedimos bebidas y comida. La cerveza era muy buena ya un precio decente. La comida era buena, especialmente la carne y la tarta de cerveza! El personal era agradable, muy servicial y proporcionaba un buen servicio cuando lo solicitaban.

A thriving and boisterous pub, not been in a pub so packed with drinkers for years, thought we were in for a nightmare but staff were great & very polite, despite a misunderstanding with the booking a table was quickly sorted and a very good choice on menu to suit all tastes. We chose 3 different mains and puddings all were very good, all in all a very pleasant experience for those who like pub food & atmosphere

This is a really good pub. Always busy, good atmosphere, footie on TV and good beer. What more could anybody want ?

A good choice of proper pub food at very reasonable prices. Staff are busy but helpful. The food took a bit longer than it should but the landlord apologised and gave us some complimentary drinks. The food was worth waiting for. For a Wednesday evening the place was busy. Will go again

Booked the Valentine special meal at lunchtime and was quite touched at the lovely presentation by the staff , they had gone to a lot of effort to make the tables special . excellent value and a bottle of wine on the house .couldn't fault it

We went for Sunday lunch booked a table for 1 arrived too be told they had ran out of beef! So we decided on the turkey. Once order was taken it only took 4 mins too be brought out! Quick warm up in the microwave then. When the food had arrived the gravy was full of thick jelly lumps. Quite a basic thing too make too!! Overall it was pretty shocking and too top of of the waitress wasn’t very helpful! Won’t be going back

Conduje 15 millas hasta el pub que solía gustarme. Tenía una sopa de zanahoria de arranque encantador.

Parece que Vintage Inn realmente intenta con su menú vegano dedicado, pero este pub claramente lo está haciendo porque tiene que hacerlo. El barman no tiene personalidad y nos preguntó si queríamos queso y tocino en nuestra hamburguesa vegana del menú vegano. Tarta vegana luego salió con queso. Después de regresar a la cocina, la tarta salió completamente diferente con las verduras poco cocinadas. No pagamos la tarta. He comido en varios Vintage Inns antes; Siempre estupendo. No regresaremos al New Inn.

Tres de nosotros fuimos a comer el almuerzo de Navidad hoy. No me sorprende que este encantador y acogedor pub esté ocupado. La comida era excelente. Tuvimos una muy generosa porción de paté con un panecillo caliente para comenzar, seguido del almuerzo completo. El pavo era tierno y jugoso, acompañado de verduras bellamente cocinadas y salsa extra. Terminamos con un pudín de Navidad ligero y afrutado. ¡Bien hecho los cocineros!

Loved this place, as a foreigner got the British pub experience. Super nice staff, excellent variety of drinks. Ale pie was pretty awesome, I would go back definitely. Good value for the money. Super atmosphere.

We visited on a Friday night, the pub was busy with a friendly atmosphere. The staff, in particular the landlord was very helpful. The two meals for £10.50 deal is excellent, especially when you can even have it on the weekend! The gammon we both ordered was excellent, washed down with a very reasonably priced pint of coors. Will definitely be returning!

Whilst visiting Wetherby for the first time we enjoyed a lovely lunch at The New Inn. The welcome from a very jolly bar chappie (the boss I think!) was excellent. The quality and choice of drinks was very good. We ordered two wraps; one a Chicken Tikka and one Chicken, cheese and chorizo accompanied by a small basket of well cooked chips. The wraps were very good indeed. We enjoyed them sat outside the back of the pub in a comfortable patio/courtyard soaked in hot sun! (Sun shades optional!). A pleasing visit!

Friendly staff nothing too much trouble. Extensive menu and great quality, real value for money, will definitely return when next on Wetherby

Took a 99 year old for lunch here and was told there are no cups for tea, only massive mugs. The tea was made with hot but definitely not boiling water. Not nice. When my friend asked for a small portion, was told they do not serve small portions. She is 99 and in a wheelchair! Surely ...?

Lovely pub with a good choice of drinks. We come here for the food which is consistently good and exceptional value. I had the mixed grill and the meat was all very good, they must have a good butcher!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch today at the New Inn, we all ordered a main course, I had lasagne with garlic bread and salad, my husband had chicken and black pudding stack and my father in law chose hunters chicken. All of our meals were served fresh and hot in a timely manner. My husband and father in law both enjoyed a couple of pints each and commented on how good they were! I would definitely recommend the food at this busy market town pub, credit to the friendly landlord and his staff team.

The New Inn is a really nice local pub where you can just turn up for a drink and enjoy it inside or outside weather permitting. They serve food but if you're going for dinner be quick because it's all over by 8.00pm. I had corn beef pie and my wife lasagne so there's a bit of variety. Our meals were a mere 10 pounds 50 pence, wonderful value. If you're in Wetherby make sure to visit this one.

Went in today as a group of 4 adults and 2 children. Between us we had the all day breakfasts, lasagne, pie and roast dinner. The food was exceptional and for such a low price! I really would recommend. That and the staff were all friendly and pleasant. Well worth a visit!

Have been here for a drink when visiting my daughter but never eaten there til yesterdayWeve been missing out. Corned beef and potato pie with mash and peas (I had chips). Beautifully presented and tasted even better. Best chips had in a pub for ages.Friendly efficient staff. Well done.

Called in for Sunday lunch en route home . Chose it due to the recommendations on TripAdvisor and it certainly deserves them. The food was lovely,Good size portions and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and very helpful. All in all a perfect pit stop!

This pub was recommended to me in early summer and I went with 2 friends and we all enjoyed our meals then.. Very nice helpful staff and great meals.I rang and booked a table for my granddaughter and me last Sunday and couldn't fault it again very pleasant staff and the meal was lovely again..Left to eat our meal didn't feel rushed to finish I will certainly recommend it to people you will be in for a treat.

Went into this establishment to watch Sunderland v Leeds and I received a proper Yorkshire welcome from a packed pub. All age ranges were there but made a great atmosphere. My thanks go to the friendly locals who for 2 hours made me one of their own. If it's a proper pub you are looking for look no further the New Inn is the best. Leeds winning 2-0 made it even more enjoyable.

Came here on looking on tablet for meal Saturday night was not dissapointed very well meal well cooked and presented deserts very good staff excellent very busy pub and looks popular well done to all as not often you see such a busy pub these days

Don't like to give a poor review as we do use this pub now and again and always find Lloyd and his staff very friendly and great service . But on the 5 august when we called in the two lads on the bar were friendly but were lacking clearing tables and dropping sauce bottles and napkins on the floor and leaving them there .It did;nt look very good .And then the regular barmaid came over and turned the tv over to another channel even though the barman said to ask if we were watching .Which we were!! Lloyd was;nt in and it showed .

Wetherby seemed to be quite an expensive place to eat and drink until we found this little gem. Inside it is a really cosy old fashioned pub, full with locals. There is a lovely peaceful beer garden next to the car park. The menu is packed with tasty meals at very reasonable prices. Have fun!

The beer garden was full when we arrived but after 10 minutes a table came free.Had an enjoyable time sat outside on a sunny afternoon with my other half.We didnt have anything to eat but the food seemed quite popular and the prices reasonable.Would visit again.

Having visited this pub several times now I have got to say its a fantastic pub with very polite and obliging staff. They serve a great range of beers and their menu with a selection of home made food is excellent. If your passing and fancy a pint and something to eat they do a pint and a hot dog for only £1-95 :-)

Always call at this public house on the way home. Cheap beer and is fairly crowded with all ages. The menu looks nice and has some great deals. The toilets need upgrading and usually needs toilet paper in the ladies. I personally think they should be checked by staff every hour and more often when really busy. Would recommend a visit if in Wetherby.

Stayed at Wharf House B&B which is short distance from the New Inn. Really good food, would highly recommend the gammon and sausages as i commended to the waitress that it was the best gammon that i had ever had !!! The atmosphere was very friendly, the local beer was reasonably priced with a good selsection.

Eat here regularly, all home made. Hand cut chips, freshly cooked and battered onion rings. Fast and efficient service and friendly staff

In wetherby we were looking for a pub with football ,found it all at the new inn,friendly staff,good range of beers and plenty of Tv,s.the plus was the food surpassed all expectations.the usual sort of menu for a pub but the home made burger topped with chilli was outstanding .good food and footie ! What more could a chap ask for .

Too the youngest for lunch while she was home for thgthge weekend. Well priced ale, food very good value. Deviated from our usual order, I had scampi (very 70's), daughter had a tortilla wrap which I was quite envious of!! Highly recommended, especially as thgthgey serve food all day, unlike some other places in town..

Great pub if you want a decent meal at a decent price, Great for watching sport with a TV in all 4 corners. Landlord Lloyd friendly and always makes an effort to please. Caters for all ages and is never empty, probably the most popular pub in Wetherby town centre. Wine also reasonably priced. Great outside area at the rear particularly good as it gets the sun in the late afternoon and early evening in the summer.

It's a proper pub!! Love it! Child friendly too, which is nice. Reasonably priced! Bottle of Sauvignon for £11 lovely!! We were also in on the night of the lights were switched on they were handing out mulled wine and mince pies which was a nice touch!

Went here last Sunday. Was recommended by a stall holder on farmers market there. It was very good the food was fresh and the price was good also. Will definitely go there again.

Visited today with 8 family members - Lloyd the manager catered to our every need - even asking if we needed the speaker turning down! The food was really well presented ( well done to the chef and team ) choir and price as very good! All the staff were attentive and will visit again next time we are up with family

Called in with my Son @ little granddaughter for Lunch ,good value as Certain meals are cheaper if you buy 2 I had home made steak and ale pie with chips and peas ,pie was lovely not many chips but enough if you don't have a large appetite my son ordered Liver and bacon but they didn't have the liver,so he had the lasagne instead that was very good ,little one had chicken gougons ,that I thought looked quite good ,all in all a good meal and a nice outside eating area for the good weather so a well served and presented lunch that iould recommend

Went for birthday meal, told there was 45 minute wait for food! Waiting to be served at bar, nobody bothered to serve! One girl was too busy taking selfie's on her phone. Ordered steak n ale pie only to be told 10 mins later there wasn't any! Good that eventually came was crap, terrible service, waitress had a face like a slapped bum and very rude, will never go back!!!!
