Came here today for a large breakfast , Was very tasty , Very tasty sausages , Great runny eggs , can not fault it , Coffee refills , Great service , staff are great , Will come again next time I'm in cross gates , Leeds.

Very lacking in lots of ways. Normally love wether spoon but this is the exception

For the money there is no competition! Drinks are the cheapest and are excellent! Food is the cheapest and does the job! The staff are excellent also. JD Wetherspoon have filled a void left by the demise of the working men's club and are the champion of the working class!!

I went in early morning, so nice and quiet. Breakfast served in minutes, and really nice.

Twice we been for breakfast first time my partner had 2 hairs in food and there didn't change it or offer us a refund and today the breakfast came out cold hard eggs will not be eating here again

¿Por dónde empiezo este lugar se ha ido en serio por la sartén. Solía ser un gran lugar para la comida y las bebidas, sin embargo, lamentablemente este ya no es el caso. Desde las mesas pegajosas y vasos vacíos y comida desechada hasta las malas manejaré al personal. El principal culpable es el gerente real Tom que cierra los cuernos con los clientes y el personal por igual evitar a toda costa. Qué pena.

Food was cold and didn't get our drinks till after the food... drinks was an empty cup for coffee machine and a pint of pepsi... then no milk in coffee Machine and no hot chocolate.

Soy un habitual en este Wetherspoons ya que es muy local. Sin embargo, el servicio ha pasado de ser básico, como la recolección de vidrio en las mesas a la etiqueta básica del personal. El personal es muy grosero e inabordable, una pena, ya que el último personal era muy agradable y amable. El gerente principal del pub parece ignorar todo lo anterior. Recomendaría a la administración superior que revisara el sitio con carácter urgente.

This is a BIG Wetherspoons with all the classic favourites. The staff are lovely, and it's ideally placed for those who need a pint or meal after exploring the stores and sights in Leeds city.

Second visit to John Henry Roe with our large club of about 30 neuro diverse members and support as usual the service was excellent, the staff and management patient and attentive and the food prompt and well cooked. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful asset to Cross gates. Perfect for the area. They should build another.

My local Wetherspoons, and my local pub. The staff are lovely, especially the gaffer, he's top notch, very helpful. Never had a problem personally. Me & my wife come here at least twice a week.

Staff are very friendly and attendative. Food was delicious and the price is extraordinary. I would recommend to everyone.

Not a bad wetherspoon, but I think the place needs better upkeeing as on both coffee machines there were hardly any sugars or stirrers from your drink. Apart from that a nice busy place with nice friendly staff. My breakfast was as standard as it gets for a wetherspoons.

Not enough staff on. Dirty dishes and glasses everywhere. Food all over the floor. Disabled toilets out of order. No toilet paper in all but one of the toilets. Smell of skunk. The whole place looks dirty.

Nice cheap place .cheap pub grub

1st real ale ordered at the bar was poor quality - it's real ale festival. Having tried many a pint I would not be impressed with a lot of Spoons offering of my ale if I was the brewer. Tried a different offering on the App. When it came it didn't look the same colour as suggested by the App. To be fair it wasn't that bad, so, I ordered a 2nd. When that came it was a totally different colour/drink. C'mon Spoons sort Ur selves out

Disabled toilet unsafe to use with loose seat , anyone could slip & fall !’ Filthy ,urine wet toilet paper on toilet seat ,it is left open the door & is used by many people , I visited last week & many people used it !!’Was hoping it would be cleaner this week !!

Busy and noisy expected nice place though!

Empty tables aren't cleared very often so you have to ask at the bar. The bar staff don't seem to care when customers are not talking but shouting at each other when they are on the same table together.

My daughter goes in here regularly with her boyfriend and loves it, having met my work colleagues there for our pre-Christmas meal I can see why she does. There's lots of room, lots of seating, and a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Will definitely be going back.

We got chicken bites excellent the steak and onion ring's were amazing thanks.

Went in today with a friend we ordered a meal and a drink, we decided to have a second drink I went to the bar to be confronted by the manager Tom, He said we have reports that you and your friend are drunk, having just finished work I was astounded! I assured him I wasn't and told him that I was offended by his accusations He said well I'm not going to apologise because my staff are only doing their job! But they can get it wrong! They certainly did in this case, what a manager!! Ignorant and got my order wrong twice, maybe he was the one who was drunk!!!

Food well cooked and reasonable in price, waiting time quite acceptable service decent all in all a good 4 stars

Good location, opposite the Arndale Centre, 5 minute walk to the train station, and many buses to choose from to Leeds, etc. The pub itself is set out just like every other Wetherspoons, disabled toilet access, plenty of power sockets to charge mobiles, tablets etc. The outdoor seating area at the back of the pub is tastefully done with planty of outdoor seating etc.

Had a lovely breakfast, before a day of shopping with my friend. Service is always quick and the staff are lovely and friendly

Good atmosphere pub let down by very poor table service. Visited with family for a meal as after we had all decided what to order after 20 minutes, table was still covered in food and plates from previous customer. We left to dine elsewhere since young staff were to busy to work, joking around at the end of the bar/kitchen

Warm, friendly local boozer. Good menu and decent food at a decent price. Only snag, I feel Wetherspoon's have made their portions smaller. I had the all day breakfast, nothing brilliant, but it was enjoyable.

I have been there many times for breakfast. I feel like home. Comfy and delicious. Price friendly.

I love weatherspoons as you can't fault it is value for your money. Unfortunately the food was poor at this place. My curry was cold in the centre obviously not stirred in the microwave.. dessert was over cooked in the microwave and hard and dry .. the waitress was charming and spoke to her supervisor who obviously was too busy to come see our complaint personally and offered to refund the price of dessert... The curry that had to go back for reheating wasn't addressed by the management... All I can say is that is 6 people that will not be eating there again... I personally cannot recommend the food here... There were minor complaints with another meal in our party but she chose not to complain...

Have visited many pubs in this chain and normally order a wrap with a side of chips using the app. The wraps have always been soft and well filled but on this occasion not much filling and the wrap was hard and as if dried out by being left out. The chips were warm at best. It also took over ten minutes for the drinks to arrive for which an apology was offered but it wasn't a busy day. Will stick to the many other good ones in the chain and give this one a miss in future.

It's a Wetherspoons. Plenty of drink choice and pocket friendly. Not one of the prettiest Spoons buildings, but good location on the High Street. Every man and his dog was in there on the last Friday eve I visited and it was lively. Tables needed clearing and staff were running around as best they could. Probably the busiest spoons I've visited. Been there midweek for breakfast with my daughter. Great value and they were very kind; bringing her colouring book etc.

3 stars given as few people go in on a Tuesday night disappointed as Crossgates area is now a big suburb with many houses 😞 Have been there on a Friday afternoon for something to eat busier and on the noisy side at times however betterthan Tuesday.Staff generally OK 👍 food good service too.

This is a great meeting place when we want to catch up with friends. It's not overpriced, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I suppose the only think what let's it down is not enough staff on the bar, but otherwise, a great pub.

It's a spoons so expectations were not high but even then it was extremely lack luster. Tables were filthy dirty and full of other people's left over drinks and food, after clearing and cleaning my own table I ordered a meal for two, missing items food cold and widly different portion sizes. I won't be returning.

Often quite quiet without a real warm feel, the food is served quickly and is of high spoons standard. We often pop here for a cheaper option that will satisfy!

Cant complain does what it says on the wetherspoons tin

Love the place, me and my wife have been regular visitors since it first opened. Lovely and reasonably priced food, cheap beer compared with all the other pubs in the area and the staff are fantastic, absolutely faultless. I have just got one little complaint, why oh why is the disabled toilet open to all and sundry, just because the lazy sods can't be bothered going upstairs to the able bodied toilets. I'm not the only person to notice these idle people either.

This pub is an absolute disgrace. They asked a 93 year old lady and her daughter to leave the premises as ther is another customer who is rude and carried on when they joined the table. He was rude and swearing but he was ok to stay.

Staff were great and their service was 1st class.

Beer reasonable prices. Food menu varied and edible from the menu. Wouldn't recommend this place for celebrating a special occasion.

Okay pub grub, filled a gap...good quick table service via the app...super cheap drinks, would recommend for a couple of cheap pints but wouldn't stay here all day...good for a quick catch-up, which suited me when I visited.

Typical Wetherspoons pub. Decent selection of beers, wines and spirits. Quite busy at the time we were there but served quickly by friendly staff. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.

Utter sh!thole! Still got phlegm on the toilet walls from months ago. Frequented by coke heads, blind eye turned by management, priority given to whoever is spending the most as opposed to regulars or well behaved patrons. Avoid!

Could not find anywhere to park, so had to go elsewhere - amazed the council gave planning permission.

Fault with coffee machine was sorted within minutes, tables were clean, bar was clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I haven't been in the area for 3 years, so good to visit this 'Spoons again, I always make for the nearest Wetherspoons when on my travels, not disappointed! Good service and the Theakstones Old P was great :-)

Not sure what I expected when coming here for a quick breakfast but its OK. Nothing to write home about but tasty enough if you don't have a better choice or can't be bothered to walk a bit over to crossgates shopping centre. Smell of alcohol feels much stronger than I expected but it is kind of expected from a place like that.

The pubs good value but it's so cold in there. Doors stay fully open so don't bother eating anything as it's cold in 2 minutes. Bring a big coat, wooly hat and gloves and you may survive

Ordered the 'Gourmet' 'heatwave burger'. A friend did the same. Neither arrived with the promised Naga Chili mayo. The blandest food imaginable served by the most miserable waitress imaginable. To top it off (and not the pubs fault) but the guy on the next table snorted and snooked the whole way through our meal. All in all...very poor. Wouldn't go again.

Handy for a quick bite at affordable prices. They also have Cherry Pepsi on pump.

Love this place. The staff are fantastic and friendly. Grandson has autism and they never bat an eye. They all talk to him and if he's unsettled they ask is there anything we need. Food not bad either 😋

Has to be one of the smaller Wetherspoons in Leeds but still expected quality of drinks and customer service. Nice looking pub with small beer garden to rear. Steak and kidney pudding with mash, peas and gravy was amazing
