We visited on Wednesday at 17:15. We'd booked online and requested a table with suitable space for a pram and our request was fulfilled. Food was ordered using our phones, which we prefer. My mixed grill was lovely, with the steak perfectly rare. Nice relaxed atmosphere with candles on tables. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We will be back each week.

Amazing evening in the brown cow, Jack behind the bar was ever so helpful. Could not fault a thing about my evening.

Jack did a great job for us on bar, didn't even complain when one of the party changed their mind and ordered Guinness last. Didntget the lass' name who was waitress but she was quick and friendly as well

We didn't have a great visit. We booked for my mums birthday 6 of us. I ordered for myself and my mum and my brother ordered immediately after for him and he's family. Mine and my mums meals were brought out 15 minutes before the others so by time they got their meal we have finished. It would of been nice for us to all eat together. My sister in law ordered the steak pie which said it come with roasted carrots but we wasn't told at the time of ordering that there was no veg but peas. We waited a while for my brother and family's food and about 5 minutes after finishing our food, someone come to the table and asked how long we would be as they had another reservation. We didn't even have time to decide if we wanted dessert. It wasn't our fault we waited so long for our mains that our table time had ended. We got up to leave and the same person what asked us then said " are you leaving" so I replied well yes you said you needed the table. He then looked guilty and said I've sorted it you don't have to leave but by this stage we had all got our coats on and ready to go. Such a shame it was a bad experience because I have come before and it was pleasant and this is why I chose to come here for my mums birthday

This place! It’s like a euphoria of a haven, tucked away in a little known suburb of Whitkirk. The food is impeccable. The drinks are chilled to perfection, but above all else, the service would give Buckingham Palace a run for its money. Stop what you’re doing and be there, NOW.

Had many meals here over the last couple of months and Ellie has gone above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. A wonderful member of staff who needs to be recognised for her wonderful customer service.

A very modern kind of pub. The beer is mostly decent but there are cheaper options available nearby.

Large roomy pub. Being able to order from the app and food delivered to your table works really well.

Unable to order food they had stopped serving but food was served to other tables long after . Went to the bar to order drinks bar maid put them on another bar and wouldn't bring to where I ordered from,no reason given just very strange behaviour ? Could tell ppl had been waiting a long time for food didn't appear to be overly busy but guess the staff were more bothered about getting finished than serving customers ( just based on my 30 years experience in catering looking around)

Boxing Day menu for us today and the place was (as expected) absolutely packed! However, our table was ready on arrival and the staff moved heaven & earth to get everyone fed & watered. Understandably slower pace of delivery, but a good atmosphere, really good food (the steak, in my case) and good value. Many thanks once again to all! 👍👏🍻

The food was fantastic, the service staff were in top form, not too busy and good prices. So good we have booked our Christmas meal here!

Poor service. Very slow service. Ordered food at 6.55 and starters arrived at 7.40 after requesting the waitress checked. Children were fed up after such a long wait which made it very disappointing overall as once the food came we didn't have time to enjoy it. Especially as the booking allocated a set time to leave.

Ellie gave out an amazing atmosphere when taking my order and delivering it to my table she was so polite and respectful the service was also amazing and the food was great would come back. Ellie was quick when knowing what I wanted to order and was nice and relaxed so patient with me whilst I choosed what I wanted one of the best table services I've ever had.

The food and service was great. Unfortunately on our way into the rear carpark a van was blocking people getting in or out. We sat waiting for 10 minutes for someone to come. Eventually we got the manager to call the guy, he was really rude and aggressive 😒 didn't even apologise. Apparently he was setting up the band upstairs. The way he left the vehicle was thoughtless

Absolutely amazing. Had a little mini moon at the premier in next door and chose this pub as our evening meal both nights. The 1st night we order from the normal menu. Food was out quick. Decent portions. Amazing flavours. Chiabata to die for. Cocktails are strong but amazing. Second night we ordered the 3 course menu for 15.99. Timing amazing. Food amazing. Staff are so attentive and make your experience a great one. For a pub this Food was on par with a restaurant. We didn't tell anyone that we was on honeymoon. We just enjoyed the amazing service as normal everyday customers. 5 star. I defo will be returning.

Things at the Cow are much improved since I gave my last review - new management? Service is great and really friendly bar and serving staff. The foods a bit better too, but overall a better atmosphere and more pleasant place to spend a few hours having drinks with friends

Came in Sunday morning for breakfast, the service from adam was great, he was very attentive. I had the full English breakfast which was amazing, was told the chefs on service were ryan and skyela, so big thanks to them too. Shall be back soon.

This is our local so been coming here off and on for about five years. This is a really lovely pub. The food is great. Good portion sizes and prices. The roast dinners are fantastic! There is also a good selection of ales and staff are knowledgeable about them. Also, staff are really friendly and always happy to help out. Good beer garden and outdoor seating as well. All round great pub. Well worth a visit 😊

Lovely meal with good menu selection, very reasonably priced. Really kind and attentive staff especially with our young children. Definitely recommended.

Went today for the first time and what a lovely place! The atmosphere was very inviting and cosy, Adam and Phil were super friendly. The lasagne was hot and tasty, I wish I'd have got a pudding but I didn't have the time unfortunately. Looking forward to going back soon 😁

Service was perfect, sorry to say that the Sunday duo meal was cold and swimming in grease!. It looked like it had been thrown onto the plate, the veg was cold too. The staff there are great but let down by the food/presentation.

Food poor, staff look at you like dirt despite spending £100 + on food. Really is a shame. Lovely looking pub.
