The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

My wife and i attended last night for dinner 14/10/2024, we took advantage of the set menu, the food was excellent, i had the Schnitzel and my wife had the Burger, cooked to perfection, the mushroom starter and dessert was also perfect. The staff were brilliant, they were very attentive and extremely helpful, in particular our waitress Cosmina, her service was perfect, very polite and very welcoming, nothing was too much bother for her, thank you very much, you are a credit to The Burnt Post. It was extremely busy, but that did not affect the service provided by this very busy young lady that, at times looked like she was being pulled here there and everywhere. well done you!! Once again, thank you Cosmina for an excellent experience on our recent visit! 5* well deserved.

Service excellent , food hot and O.K. Car park very dangerous with large holes, Marstons need to repair urgently before someone falls and claims compensation.

Absolutely delicious food and large portions making it great value for money. Service was good too. Would absolutely recommend.

James Martin inspired menu in a beautiful setting. Visited on a Sunday lunch so a smaller menu. Food was excellent as was the service. £45 for 2 courses or £55 for 3. Really nice treat

Wow we all really enjoyed our meal tonight! We went for the carvery but decided to order off the menu in thr end which I'm actually glad we did because it was excellent. Well presented, tasty, hot, I wonder if they have a new chef? I didn't have a bad thing to comment on. Will definitely be back

Chips awful, flatbread tasteless, Halloumi cooked to rubber, I have given this restaurant 5 out of 5 previously and it deserved it, I don’t know what has changed, it was like a completely different place, it’s very sad and extremely noticeable.

Food was very lovely. All staff were very friendly and so polite and happy from the moment we walked in until we left. Lola was our server and I cannot praise her enough.

Honestly cannot fault this place. As someone that eats out regularly, I will say you do not get many places with team as friendly as these here. My food was amazing value for money and the unlimited salad bar is so generous. Will definitely be returning

We stayed here overnight and booked the restaurant for our evening meal. Lovely staff, in a lovely surrounding. It’s a shame it was dark so we couldn’t see the views. Nice selection of starters, mains and desserts and we managed to enjoy all three. In the morning, the breakfast menu was plentiful and the sausage and bacon from a local butcher were very tasty.
