Reliable, yet unremarkable. Very noisy and overcrowded at times.

Typical Witherspoon's beer was not expensive and good. good atmosphere service was good didn't eat but looked ok

I'm sat having a late-afternoon midweek pint in this city pub and it's a really nice place to be. The beers' pretty good too! :-)

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, carrying the industrial history of Coventry over with its decor! This includes the photos of the motor industry's cars and the area with an old clock, counter is well-presented itself. I had a nice pint of Stowford Press, appreciating the outside seating!

Ordered 2 large breakfast 25-1-2025 food was cold sent back 2nd breakfast given but still cold I know they serve lots of food but needs 2 be hotter Won't return Regards Karen Gregor

2 days in Coventry business trip, called to Wetherspoons, great value and atmosphere.

Prices are great, food and drinks are great and the staff are all very lovely, great spot for a night out

Had a lovely experience here with one of the severs Anais. They made me feel welcome and appreciated, even asking if I felt safe/ okay after another customer came up to me unannounced. The support was amazing and made me feel safe. Thank you and will be returning!

Great place and great staff. The only problem with the Flying Standard is that it's in Coventry, but as long as you're just watching the outside from the inside, it's all golden in the world of pub entertainment.

They are of no help and everyone is very rude.

Steak was extremely bad cut of meat,full of sinew, but expectations were not high anyway as it’s a decent meal for the price. Drinks are always priced decently

Went there with my friend on Halloween. The staff were fabulous. The decor was fab. It was clean. It was atmospheric. Everyone was having a good time. The food is typical spoons food. Cheap cheerful but the staff were incredible. Thanks!

Walk in + sit down + order drinkies and food = well satisfied and refreshed. Is not it ladies and Gents, and tuther ones. But whatever you do do, don't tell Beryl and Ted about the place. They always spoil it for everyone. Yes, arguments over who can cane the most pints, and arm wrestling before the food arrives.

This is a great Wetherspoons. I've rated the food at 4 stars, not because I didn't like it, but because it's not 5 star exceptional food. As usual the beer is good with plenty of choice. I think Wetherspoons are one of the best pubs going and the staff are great.

Only had a pint on way back home. No food and it was a Wednesday so atmosphere was a Wednesday.

We went for a meal with drinks 🍸 🤪, I saw that the table needed cleaning. When I went to order the drinks and meals 😋. I asked the lady at the bar could we please have our table cleaned. Thank you as I went back to our table there was some one already cleaning it. Very impressive service 👏 👌

Went to have breakfast on the morning of Coventry motofest, very poor , would not let me take dog in , so ok went to sit outside with the dog only to be told couldn't sit here as well. Very poor.

Un desayuno tardío en The Flying Standard mientras está de compras. Un par de brekkie tradicionales y un par de tostadas para la hija quisquillosa. Cosas estándar. El servidor era educado y sonriente, el pub cómodo y limpio. Era temprano un domingo por la mañana y relativamente tranquilo. No había habido tiempo para que cúmulos de gente derramara bebidas sobre la mesa y dejara caer patatas fritas sobre la horrible alfombra. La comida llegó rápidamente y después de una buena dosificación en salsa HP probamos la mercancía. La tostada estaba desprovista de salsa, la hija rechaza la humedad de las hormigas en su comida y por lo que su trozo de mantequilla era un extra bienvenido a uno de los tradicionales. La comida era agradable, cocinado bien y a pesar de los huevos crujientes, era una manera perfectamente aceptable de empezar el día. Disfrutamos de la visita. Recomendado.

Service was slow at the pub counter

Had a good time last night until I got back from smoke and found my table was completely clean. All snacks drink x2 e-sigarets are gone, and I was literally 3-5 min away. When spoke to bar staff they was nice to me but later manager came down to me an he was so rude 😒 he said they have rights to take my belongings if I left them on the table ( and I left them on purpose so every budy can see that this table is engaged) so when I ask him what I'm supposed to do if I came alone and need toilet or cigarette so he state to me that I have to take all my stuff with me ( even when I'm going for pee? Really?) He was so rude that he didn't even try to apologize to me Absolutely unexpectedly customer service, my night out was ruined 🤕😱 If you are solo guest don't choice Flying standards as this place has no standard at all....

Stunning exterior Couldn't believe this is a spoons. Looks like the famous Liberty shop in London with its black and white beamed exterior. Inside is very spoonsy. Out door areas downstairs and upstairs. Fast service. Good location for the shops and cathedral.

I went with my three daughters and we enjoyed the service and the atmosphere we didn't buy any food just drinks but all in all it's all good.

A typical English pub, so to speak, with a varied range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the atmosphere is ok, pleasant, recommended for watching sports on TV, outdoor terrace, serving both at the table and and at the bar, with a terrace and for non-smokers, outside in the open air, located in the center of the city, it has a special panorama, I recommend

Staff very friendly and helpful but the toilet on grandfloor was discusting smelly very dirty and wet floor could not use it and can not go up stairs on sticks

The place is nice but when food arrived it was cold , was told when we mentioned it we should have said when we received it.....NO maybe when it gets sent up from kitchen, the person at bar upstairs where we were should answer the phone to collect it out serving hatch instead of chatting , sorry but not happy

Me lo pasé muy bien. estaba aquí el sábado muy ocupado. camarera con el pelo rizado rojo / púrpura era muy amable, pero sin duda podría hacer mejor no llevar ropa tan reveladora a mi alrededor y mi marido e hijos. la comida estaba bien.
