Excellent meal for my birthday celebrations with family. Very good and quick service and staff lovely. Would highly recommend.

Im a regular to this pub. I came for a family meal and parked up on the carpark like I do any other time. A week later I have received a parking fine for £100. I'm absolutely disgusted that you would fine your customers for using your carpark. Times are difficult as it is and to slap them with a fine is terrible. I will definitely not be visiting again and will be warning others.

Had a great time with my family, the host took extra care sitting us by the carvery deck to allow me to watch my children go up to the deck, meat was delicious and perfectly cooked as was the rest of the deck, our waitress Imogen recommended the deal for two portions of pigs in blankets, which was perfect for our family. She also took care explaining the children's set menu to us to allow our best value for money, whilst our children got to enjoy desserts. Thoroughly enjoyed, definitely recommended!!

Fabulous food and friendly, helpful staff! The landlady Michelle was very welcoming. We felt right at home and will continue to return!

Where to begin……. I ordered the classic chicken burger with added jalapeños, fried onions and fries egg. Then added nacho cheese sauce on the side for my fries. The chefs made it spectacular. It was moist, piping hot and the presentation was inviting. Overall, the perfect chicken burger meal dish. Everyone must come here. You will not be disappointed but leaving full and happy. Thankyou Chefs, you’ve made me a full fan of the food and certainly will returning every week.

Arrived just after 8pm to be told we couldn't have a table even though the kitchen closes at 9pm as there was a large table in. Staff were very abrupt in telling us this. Even though the person in front of us was served. Very poor for a restaurant not to be able to cope with a large table as well as other guests. If it was the case that there would have been a wait on food, we should have been advised of not just point blank refused.

Had a really pleasant lunch at the mitre oak. Food and Service was excellent. Really enjoyed the chicken wings starter and sirloin steak main. David our server was professional and very friendly and helpful.

Having a catch up with friends arrived about 4.30pm not many people in ordered regular carveries no complaints at all plenty of meat Yorkshire puds were homemade unlike other places no faults with staff always like it here

It’s November and cold. We decided to go for a drink. We went into the bar area expecting a nice warm cosy atmosphere. Put very simply it was cold. It was a Sunday but nobody thought that lighting the fire might not be a bad idea. We drank up and left.

Went in today for lunch didn,t book but got a table no problem. We had a little bit of a wait for the food but we were told upon arrival they were busy but we had the salad while we where waiting. The food was very tasty are waitress was called Dayna and she was fantastic, very friegood ndly and helpful done her job brilliantly. All in all a very good visit will definitely return.

Ordered in app. Drinks arrived quickly. Food came in good time. Efficient and friendly staff. Service excellent. Good lovely. Totally enjoyed the experience.

Staff were helpful but what has happened! Hardly anyone in on a Saturday. Food was disappointing. Lots missing off menu (especially the desserts) Parts were dry and over cooked others bits were just ok We spent a lot of money but wouldn’t go back unless they sort themselves out. Owners get your act together and sort it and get the quality of your food back.

Had a lovely lunch here today. I ordered the haddock and chips which was really nice. We were served by Demi who was really friendly, professional and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.
