Harbury Catch in Warwick

This place is consistently amazing. The fish is beyond beautiful and delicious. The chips really are gourmet. The portions are massive and appreciated. The staff warm and friendly and yesterday's recommendation from the manager of the Irish curry sauce was a superb addition and i was even given a taste sample before i said yes with enormous enthusiasm. We travel 15-20 mins to go here ( and we have 3 local fish and chip shops.... No thanks!!) and would never go anywhere else (aside from Clopton catch which is equally as good!) . Fab to have a cheeky Filllipe option sometimes for pud. Thanks to the team as always

Family meal tonight. One medium cod meal, one small cod meal and a kebab chips and salad. We ate in and it was great. Been here many times and never disappoints. Great portion sizes. Great service from Mason in the front of house!

One of the best in Leamington/warwick. Fish is lightly battered and unusually chips also battered.... deliciously crumbly ! I would definitely buy again !! Only thing I could say is its a bit pricier than other chip shops.

I have been to this chippy 3 or 4 times over the past couple of months the service is great. im normally place orders for the team i work with on a Saturday lunch for collection to take back to the office the service is quick and the food is always fresh and hot even with the order being large. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

The first halloumi burger and chips I had from here were delicious 2nd undercooked and cold, also hardly any salad and half the amount of chips, 3rd undercooked and the chips were 70% scraps from the bottom of the fryer.it was disgusting. Nearly £11!!! What a shame they're inconsistent. Won't go there again

Great fish I usually have the hake but they had none so I had haddock, i finished all of it so tasty, now I will be having that instead of hake when I go there now, delicious 😋

Tues 13th Feb 2024 at around 16:50, so thought I’d beat the rush of workers and it would be quiet. I was right and there was one guy on but no queue. Got my beeper and was looking forward to it having had a great experience before, my mother too because I treated her. Blimey, what a disappointment. Small cod was fine, but the chips were crunchy and potato at all. Hard to digest and nearly had my fillings out. They must have been standing for a while. And more! Sorry Harbury Catch. That was a let down and had out me off coming again.

Excellent food. Clean restaurant and service area. Great staff. Recommend and will return as the fish and chips were exceptional.

I have visited the Leamington branch three times now as I live in Warwick, but I work in Stratford and go to Clopton Catch a lot and I have to say Clopton catch is 10 times better. The three times I’ve been to the Leamington branch have been disappointed that the standards aren’t the same. The portion size aren’t the same and the quality of the food isn’t the same. Stratford is superb, I don’t mind the fact it’s a little bit expensive, but but when I order a large kebab, mix meat and chips in Stratford, it’s a large mixed meat and chips. I ordered large mixed meat and chips for the same money Leamington and it’s all chips. No meat not the best quality chicken was dry it’s just nothing like it, considering the restaurants are the same company What a shame, I have to drive to Stratford to get the same quality when Warwick is on my doorstep !!!

Really good and friendly service - I'd definitely go back again. I ordered a jumbo fish meal with chips and mushy peas for the first time. Good jumbo portion size - the fish and batter were well cooked and so were the chips. Mushy peas tasted good - could have been a bit a little thicker in consistency.

This was the second time we ordered from Harbury Catch, and it was once again excellent service with great food. I heartily recommend trying this friendly restaurant/takeaway especially if you enjoy fish and chips but there are plenty of other things to choose from as well.

Go here regular,at least once a week and i can say its the best chippy in Leamington area,yes its a tad pricey but food is excellent,service and staff are very friendly and have never had to wait too long.

Wonderful gelato! I’ve had the chips before and really enjoyed them. This time I visited the new gelateria. Excellent and exciting choice of flavours and high quality homemade gelato. I had the ‘create your own’ sundae. The cream was delicious and the caramel sauce and toasted hazelnuts and pistachios made the gelato even more tasty. It came in a lovely crisp dark chocolate lined waffle wafer cup. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I was pleasantly surprised to find indoor and outdoor seating. I look forward to trying more flavours or perhaps one of the delicious looking cheesecakes. Can’t believe this little gem is here in the midst of a housing estate. The chips are also very good and there is a good range of options including sweet potato fries, different sources and hake and scampi tail. My only wish with the savoury food would be a chicken burger that isn’t spicy. The savoury food comes nicely boxed in environmentally friendly packaging.

This place was recommended to us by friends, who live locally, but I'm afraid it was not at all as we were led to expect. Firstly, you can hardly get your order in without shouting, or straining to hear responses, due to the loud music in front of the counter, and the guy at the till who appeared to be too cool to raise his voice above a bored mumble. You are then handed a grubby beeper and told to wait until it lights up, which tells you the order is ready. Wait outside the door and you will be assailed by fag smoke and kids on bmx bikes. Still, that's better than the migraine you'll get inside. The food was well below average too. Chips not crisp enough to withstand a 5 minute drive home, overstuffed into a bag, meaning a congealed lump of soggy spud on the plate. Fry the bloody chips! How hard is it? The fish was DEFINITELY not fresh, even within a day or two. Like old newspaper, dried out, overcooked and chewy. The batter was nice, so well done on that. I am sorry to give a bad review but it was so hyped up that the let-down was almost comical. It is one of those places where you think even an enthusiastic amateur could do a better job. Oh yes, it is expensive too. I am sad about this as I like local businesses to do well. I really hope they up their game, they have a good catchment area.

My family and I are regulars here and we've NEVER been dissappointed with the service or the food. There' now a gellateria and Im already planning on getting my daughters party cake/ ice cream from there .... it looks absolutely delicious. The food is excellent, the establishment is incredibly clean and the service efficient.

Food was absolutely amazing and it allways us but for me to best part was the service the lovely young gentleman Allways serves us in the till and never failed to make me happy what a lovely character he his although I don’t know his name I’m pretty sure it’s either Jake or James or jack but the food is amazing and so was the whole experience would recommend

We heard that the service had become shocking on a Sunday, in fact it sounded like a Carry On film so we visited to see for ourselves. The 2 young lads at front of house were rude, obnoxious, ignorant and clearly just wanted to argue. The pair of them got the order wrong not once but twice and each time it was like dealing with Kevin & Perry. I asked for Irish curry sauce and it was wrong. It was changed but the 2nd portion was a half measure. There are other chip shops in the area and I think I will be using them in future. The other chip shops will be getting my money in future. Oh and watching the taller once picking his acne was a real off put..!!

Visited here for lunch and was extremely disappointed. Ordered large Haddock and it was small, thin and mostly greasy batter. Expensive for £12.95 (as a meal) Their sister branch at Clopton Rd, Stratford, is excellent, so expected better.

Expensive small portions. £3.40 for a box of chips, also have a minimum charge for card @£6 which in this day is ridiculous. Always try to stay local and give a new business ago but sorry your to expensive.

Tiny fish . £7 for a tiny piece of very greasy cod, a treat from my daughter, I’m afraid you will not be there very long unless the locals love to be ripped off

Very disappointed last night, been to you many times and enjoyed our fish . Had 3 haddock’s tonight and they seem to have shrunk I actually weighed mine and it was 180gms which equates to 6.349 ozs how has this shrunk from 12ozs. Wouldn’t normally...

I have been here a couple of times now. Always like to give a new local business a good shout. The premises are nice and modern and you can sit in and eat if you wish. Prices are a little high but that doesn’t bother...

Ordered a bag of chips and some chicken kebab meat. Took over 25 minutes. Lots of the staff seem to be standing around not doing alot. Then get told no kebab meat. Won't come here again
