Our waiter Stuart was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and he was great fun too, thank you and well done. You made our meal out

From walking in and being greeted, the easy parking, fantastic main course, lovely facilities and genuine, warm staff, the whole experience was excellent. Highly recommend

Lovely place have been to before, took my wife and kids for an early Mother’s Day meal, the only down side to this place is definitely the deserts, must have spent between £30-40 and the two chocolate bombs my wife and son had did not melt with the hot sauce unfortunately which was quite disappointing especially for my son, my strawberry and rhubarb crumble was bad for the price I gotta say, the bowl was not deep and it had no crumble on it or not enough to call it a crumble, it did look like compot was poured at the bottom then the crumb and then microwaved for 30 seconds, we do like this place but will never be ordering dessert again which is a shame, when those kinds of prices are being charged the customers expectation is through the roof, I bought this to our servers attention but no attempt to do anything about it other than an apology from the chef which we accepted as he was a very busy man, mains and starters were great, please bring back the steak and baby onion and baby mushroom pie was sad to see that pie go that was my reason for always going there.

Food and service are consistently good. Not a cheap meal, but definitely a good one 👍🏼

We spent a lovely Evening here for my Birthday with my Son & Daughter in law, we were looked after by Sarah who made it so special for us, nothing was too much trouble for her, she explained about the meals and her Personality was so warm & friendly. The meals were excellent, I chose the Double Pork it was Amazing. We will definitely be returning to this lovely restaurant. Thankyou for looking after us Sarah. Xx

Really nice place to sit and have a drink. Food is ok. Roasts dinners were good but nothing special. Dogs are allowed in the bar. Nice vibe in the beer garden.

Adjacent to Millennium Way: Kenilworth Castle Circular, this two-story restaurant offers delicious food in a friendly atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors. It provides great value for money and has free parking. The price is reasonable, cost-effective, and there is free parking. The waiters, including Stuart, were attentive and helpful.

The meal, comprising starter, main course, and dessert, was exceptional. However, the service significantly detracted from the overall dining experience. The inconsistent service from multiple staff members created a disorganized and haphazard atmosphere. Securing attention required actively flagging down passing staff or those engaged in other tasks. Our initial server was unavailable for the remainder of the meal, culminating in service from an employee whose attire was unkempt and unprofessional. Furthermore, the manner in which the water was delivered, announced as "tap water" in a pointed fashion, was inappropriate. While the meal itself was superb, the subpar service negatively impacted what should have been a celebratory birthday dinner. Reply: Unfortunately, service is as important, if not more so, as the food you served with bad service, which leaves bad taste, which overshadows and exceeds the food quality! If you're not a friendly environment, you are not comfortable eating! Poor quality food cold food can be a quality control or supply issue that can be excused! Bad manners etiquette and poor dress are a choice that is inexcusable! Therefore, it's unlikely to get a return visit. I do appreciate your reply.

Good choice for Sunday lunch, children's menu available

The Pub was large with decent facilities, one of the staff members blond female, was abrupt and not plesent, rest of the staff were great. Food was amazing, both taste and presentation, not a fan of Dogs in restaurants, especially when they are not groomed. Took a little while to be served, food came fast, but a little wait for drinks, it was the weekend, so this may not always be the case.

Went for lunch as it was my Dad's birthday and he passed last April so it was the 1st birthday without him. Was disappointed though, the food was not great I had the salad with chicken and tge chicken was tough and the salad was mostly tomatoes definitely not worth the rice. My Auntie also had the sald but with beef and her beef was also tough so the waiter had some fresh cooked for her. We waited ages for someone to take our desert order and then had a wait fir the bill. Thus place has always been spot on so not sure what has happened 🤔

On an organised trip from holmfirth on the way to Twickenham had a lovely lunch and Amanda was superb will certainly be back soon

Food was as expected, however felt rushed as we were told they needed to turn the table around quickly, then the main course took an age to arrive. Missed a drink with dessert but they were apologetic when pointed out. The table service was attentive but again we felt we were being watched to finish so they could turn the table for the next booking. Would go somewhere else next time. Pub and restaurant were clean, tidy and nicely appointed, parking area was very busy.

I had been looking forward to my sunday lunch all day, we couldn't get in till 15.30 so had a drink in the bar area. Got shown to our table which was nice...then it all went down hill. We had the roast for 2 served on the platter. The meats were tastless, yorkies were hard and crisp, roast potatoes were hardly roasted and hard the veg was hard...it felt like we had the dreggs of sunday lunch served to us. I was so disappointed...will not return.

It was rammed on a Tuesday lunchtime which is always a good sign. We were served by Stuart who recommended the chicken, Ham and cheese pie from the specials menu which we chose and was excellent, as was he throughout our lunch. Can't wait to go again....

As a group of 10 including 2 children it took time for us to order food, then progress to desserts. This cost £400+. After 2 hours 15 minutes we were asked to vacate the table in 15 minutes. This was not the relaxed end to a birthday meal we expected, if we had been advised of a time restriction we would have planned accordingly. I find this unacceptable and we will not return to this restaurant.

Food was fabulous as always we appreciate the great food variety and wine list, most of all we have been serviced by Stuart twice and has always gone above and beyond, makes the experience very memorable

We have visited here numerous times and have always had a great experience. I came here for my birthday and the service was fantastic. Stuart is always very friendly and helpful with anything we required. He is a real credit to the establishment. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Love this place!! We always come for firework gala and I asked to come for valentines!! The food is outstanding every time. Wine selection is 👌. However twice we met Stuart.. always so pleasant and goes above on beyond. On this occasion there was no seating in the bar and he carried us some. Chairs and table through… very kind. Queen & Castle Country Pub and Restaurant I first visited the Queen & Castle country pub and restaurant back in December 2018. The pub is located in the ancient and picturesque town of Kenilworth and sits opposite the magnificent Kenilworth Castle, which dates back to the 12th century. Having completed a half-circuit of the castle’s perimeter walls on what proved to be a wet and rather dreary winter’s day, I was more than ready to join other members of the family for lunch. I don’t recall what we ordered from the pub’s All Day Menu but we all agreed the food was delicious and the service exemplary. Since 2018, I’ve visited the Queen & Castle on four occasions and the food and drink and service have always been top-notch. My visits have always been in the autumn or winter, so I’ve never had the pleasure of enjoying lunch in the pub’s garden, but it is charming. The All Day Menu starters include pan-fried scallops, chicken liver and fig parfait and sea-salt and cracked black pepper squid and mains include a wide range of choices from freshly battered line-caught cod and chips, burgers, premium cut steaks and lamb and pork dishes. The menu also offers a mouth-watering selection of Mediterranean inspired dishes including a fabulous king prawn, crab, Ortiz chorizo linguine and scallops (a personal favorite). The Sunday Lunch Menu (particularly the now legendary delicious Trio of Roasts – roast beef, pork and chicken with all the trimmings) in terms of volume and quality, would surely have rivaled any dish laid on by Elizabeth I’s favourite, Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester and owner of Kenilworth Castle. Reassuringly, the Queen & Castle has no shortage of patrons: every time I’ve visited the bar and the dinning areas have been very busy with a good mix of locals and tourists. The dinning areas are ideal for large family gatherings and children are always welcome (our grandchildren adore the place). Given the high quality and popularity of its lunches, Sunday’s are always busy and I strongly advise booking a table well in advance. This is a wonderful pub if you're looking to go somewhere for a good meal with friends. We visited recently and everyone came away happy with their meal. The staff were all really friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy with everything we had. The service was quick too and food arrived in less than 20 minutes, despite the pub being really busy. Would definitely recommend.

This is a perfectly pleasant pub but the service needs some attention.. Whilst I appreciate that we were a large (ish) table (11 people) we nonetheless had a very long wait for our food. The food was nice but I'd say quite pricey for what it is.

Always loved this place, never had a problem. But today.. had the lamb which was about 80% fat.. never again! Also trying to sit and have a quiet meal and all we could hear is a dog constantly barking. Not impressed and won’t be returning.

Very strong smell in restaurant went to the ladies and the small was even worse in there .It spoiled my birthday celebration.

Great gastro pub with excellent views opposite Kenilworth castle. Large car park which is free for people at the pub, you just have to register your number plate. The decorations in the pub are great and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

The food was delicious and the service was the best I’ve received in a long time. Our waiter Stuart was attentive to our needs, making sure we never had to ask for another drink and going the extra mile to bring us everything we needed. Friendly chat and top notch service. Thank you Stuart.

I had sea bass and I don’t eat the skin however was difficult to get the meat off as it was overcooked and a little dry. The sticky chicken starter was delicious however. My friends roast lacked in gravy so it was quite dry for her. The restaurant was busy and a bit noisy. It is a busy time of year so you have to consider this. I’d certainly visit again because I think when not as busy more attention to detail would be there.

An excellent venue, great service and amazing food! We had our annual family event here, 50+ family members, 3 course meals and music. This was the second year we booked the Queen and Castle. It is quite a challenge to service 50 people and making sure all the course arrive for 50 people at the same time, piping hot and high quality. George (Manager) and Kylie from the Queen and Castel were brilliant in managing the whole evening. George even dressed as Santa for the kids. Have just finished a Birthday celebration meal at the Queen and Castle, Kenilworth. Great quality food and whilst on the edge of Christmas, the service was brilliant. Carrie our waitress was fantastic and extremely personable with perfect timing to the needs of our evening. Highly recommend, 5 star.

The pub was busy due to being near christmas and a few christmas parties going on but the atmosphere was good. Bar area ceilings a bit low but mind your head if tall but service was efficient. Did like the added raspberries to the ciders nice touch. Menu is slightly limited but the food we ordered was nicely cooked and we enjoyed the meal, especially the desert. The total bill for 3 adults and 2 children for mains and deserts and drink was just over £100 which wasn't bad. Car parking free just remember to input reg number on entry to pub. Service was great we had a lovely lady who dealt with all the random requests the kids had.
