Lovely lunchtime experience today, out waiter Stuart was great!

Alfie kept paying me compliments on my hairdo. Great chap and a great guiness

Went for lunch on bank holiday Monday. Car parking is free but limited and we were very lucky to get a space. Be warned in peak periods! Very friendly service. Food was great, but took some time to arrive. Cocktails were excellent. I would certainly go back.

Me and my wife went here on a weekday evening, we both had starters which were clearly packaged and frozen, We proceeded to have steaks which tasted like nothing and presented poorly and i had the prawns which were dry and bland, the drinks were fantastic and so was the service, would recommend for a few drinks but certainly not the food

We hadn’t visited for a while but have previously enjoyed many excellent meals here. The restaurant was very quiet, and the serving staff were very attentive. Food was very tasty, but disappointingly served rather too quickly - we had just finished our starters when the plates were cleared and our mains arrived immediately. Probably due to the restaurant being so quiet and chefs didn’t have mush to do! We did wonder whether the staff were holing for an early finish. We will return, but the visit was not up to the usual standard.

This review is based on a drinks only trip. After living in Kenilworth for many years it is beyond disappointing to see the state of the Q&C’s beer garden. First impressions from the car park are tables piled high of dirty plates and drinks and litter on the floor. There were plenty of staff on shift and yet no initiative to clear up. The men in our group used the toilet and there was sick in the sinks which rather than being cleared up just had tape over. It’s unclear whether staff need further training or if the problem is bone idle management. The Q&C should be the diamond of Kenilworth but as it stands it is overpriced and severely under delivers.

A little disappointed today, some service would of been nice, asked for a couple of things from the (very young staff) just to get a point in a rough direction, and when ordered drink we even had to remove our own bottle tops! Sorry can’t comment on the food as we decided to go elsewhere 🤷‍♂️

We visited today for the third time and as always have been impressed by the food, the service and the lovely decor and atmosphere. We were served by Stuart who was really attentive; he spotted that one of us was celebrating a birthday, and gave us a lovely dessert on the house to share which was a lovely touch. Thank you once again for a great meal.

Characteristic English pub atmosphere with adjoining garden and possibility of tasting traditional dishes. The selection of beers is decent. The accompanying platter is good and the cuisine is discreet. Limited table service, you choose from the paper menu, go to the cashier to order, pay and return to the table: a bit cumbersome. Good parking

The food was very good; I really enjoyed the tempura prawn sandwich and my friends the panzanella salad. Excellent service as usual from Stuart.

Lunch with friends, we were greeted by Stuart who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We were recommended to try the whole lemon sole which was cooked by a very talented chef named Pav, and cooked to perfection! We will definitely visit again soon

Unfortunately despite i really like their food today i have reserved a table for us to have dinner with my colleagues and after 1 hour we sat there and just ate our meal staff came up to tell we need to leave in 20 mins. Nobody informed me about this when i called them for reservation that we can only sit for 1.5 hour? It was really embarrassing i organised that dinner and we had to leave very early. It would have been better if i choose another restaurant obviously.

Excellent food in a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is kind and professional. It has a large car park and inside/outside tables, much appreciated on sunny days. The dirty burger is really good. We had different dishes like chicken leek and cheddar pie, pan-roasted lamb rump, panzanella salad with beef filet. All were very tasty and happily eaten.

Very nice place but I think they might be understaffed as no tables are being cleaned. There are dirty plates and glasses everywhere and people are just stacking them up on some random tables to clear the space for themselves

We were served by Stuart who was delightful and attentative host with good humour and not overpowering. The food was delicious well presented and tasty. The atmosphere was (in the day) a bit lacking and the building has a weird mix of modern graffiti art and old style tavern with oak beams. The building could do with a lick of paint especially the ceiling.

Stuart gave us perfect recommendation. The chilli salmon special was excellent. The trio dessert was also very good with the lemon tart the stand-out

Nice pub ,good selection of beers. Good food , maybe a bit more expensive than other places but we are visiting so can't honestly comment on prices. Note enter car reg on arrival to avoid parking charges

Was here for a team dinner with the cricket team, and the service was really good. The food was alright for vegetarian options, but I did hear others say the steak was really well made and the sauces were tasty. They also make the best old fashioned I have had till date.

Enjoyed a lovely relaxing lunch here. I had the plant burger, my husband had the banana flower, and we shared the Camembert which was delicious. Nice atmosphere, and we had great service from Stuart who was knowledgeable about the menu and surrounding area. Parking is also free for guests. Would definitely recommend.

We have some good meals here over many years, but our last visit was very disappointing. My wife and I chose pan roasted lamb. The lamb was cooked ok, but the two lumps of meat had large amounts of very tough gristle, the roast potatoes were soggy, with strangely tough outer skins, the Yorkshire pudding was limp and drowned in a great gravy. The service was great. I chose not to complain at the time, to not embarrass our two granddaughters who enjoyed their burgers.

We had a delicious lunch today, really great burgers. Our waiter Simon was very attentive and did a great job!

Hospitality next nothing. Service excellent. I will suggest coming here again . The welcome is next hight standard. They cover food is at a high standard. Yet good pricing .with sence .tast .viewing is beatiful.. clean and tidy .

Had a lovely meal here last Sunday. Food and service were both excellent. Have to give a shout out to Stuart….he really looked after us and even sorted my kids a Yorkshire pudding for a starter as requested by them!! Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Stuart we will be back 😊

Expensive, food that their app says should be gluten free (chips) isn't because they only have only one fryer to use. Staff were really nice and helpful which made things a little better. Their online menu (via Glass Onion app) doesn't say that certain meals are only available on certain days (the lunch menu) which led to an amount of disappointment.

A really nice "posh" pub... A bit more expensive than I am used to, but then it is set opposite Kenilworth Castle in a lovely area. Well decorated and bigger than it looks with a large outside eating area and separate beer garden overlooking the carpark...

There were 5 in our party on Monday and we were celebrating our daughter's marriage which took place earlier that day. We had a wonderful relaxing evening. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were kind enough to look after the wedding cake until the happy couple were ready to cut it. The staff were attentive and accommodating and they presented each of us with a complimentary glass of champagne at the end of our meal which was much appreciated and very thoughtful of them. We have eaten in various so called 'celebrity' restaurants and we all agreed that your restaurant was head and shoulders above them! Many thanks to everyone who made the evening so special...perfect end to a perfect day.

Very overpriced for what is standard food from a standard gastropub. Similar pricing to some Rosette restaurants, however the food quality does not match. Staff were pleasant enough.

Great pub restaurant, in a lovely setting , staff were all very friendly and attentive, great menu, with all the pub classics , food was great no problems. large car park which is free for patrons of the pub/restaurant. Definitely will be back well recommended.

My daughter decided to treat me to a meal at the Queen and Castle this Sunday. I must admit I haven't eaten here in over 5 years due to poor service and food quality. Well today I was pleasantly surprised, first I was greeted by Sarah with a huge smile and very warm welcome. Then Kate was an amazing server, she was attentive and friendly. Not forgetting Megan who is a great host and also very welcoming. I had an amazing experience and will be back very soon. Thank you!

Really attractive venue, with helpful staff, opposite Kenilworth Castle. They had a good range of vegan options, and I went for the roasted celeriac steak; this was absolutely delicious. Would thoroughly recommend

Early Tuesday evening so not very busy, lovely staff, I had a vegan main option which was absolutely delicious, lovely clean mix of flavours and textures, been before but food seemed extra special this time, even my partners dirty burger was better than usual, will definitely be back 👍

Enjoyed a great Sunday lunch at The Queen & Castle. Great roast meals and very friendly service. Stuart was an excellent waiter with a great sense of humour and looked after us extremely well thank you. Highly recommended

Ordered a coffee and a soft drink- took ages to arrive. Ordered two toasted sandwiches. The bread wasn't toasted, it was just dehydrated. The chicken in the sandwich was bone dry and hard to cut with the blunt cutlery! The tampora prawns were okay but the batter was greasy. The French fries were presalted that I could only eat a few. No one even bothered to check if the meal was okay. Never going to eat there again and would not recommend it!!!

I came in for my mums 40th birthday and we had an amazing time. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. We even got a complimentary glass of prosecco for the birthday girl. Great atmosphere

Had a meal at the restaurant with excellent service and Great food. We had the Diablo pizza and the linguines with scallops which were both really amazing. The staff were friendly and always at hand when we needed to order more drinks or sides.

Really slow food service. Food is OK but expensive for what you get. Service is pretty awful. They seem to make money based on their location rather than anything good which is a real shame
