Had a pint of Butty Bach, and it was bland. Bar maid was friendly, the place looks nice but not for me. Over priced for bad beer

Great atmosphere, we could have a conversation without shouting at each other😁 Great food and lovely staff, beer was great as well. Definitely worth a visit and we will all be going back again. Thanks for a great evening 🍻😁

Friendly, helpful staff, excellent food at reasonable prices, lovely atmosphere inside, lots of room. We met as a group of 14 (on our annual get-together) for an evening meal which was excellent. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. Splitting the bill at the end can sometimes be a nightmare but it was made so simple and efficient. Would definitely come back again on our next visit to Warwick. A really lovely pub.

Really like this pub and I think it’s a massive credit to Warwick. I come here on many occasions and I bring friends/family. But I can’t help but get annoyed with the fact that every-time we turn up the lady who seems to be in charge is so so rude. Every person I know that’s been there always picks up on the lady’s attitude which is really sad because the pub is so nice and all the other staff are lovely. It just seems to be this one lady/mangeress who has an issue with everyone and everything. But honestly can’t knock the place at all from that.

The beers great, lovely pub, fantastic locals, one down the side. The manageress, not one to right review but her attitude is terrible along with her service. Unbelievably rude, and when we tried to approach her so my mate could use the baby change to change his daughter in the ladies (as there isn’t one in the men’s? Apparently fathers don’t take their children out for food) she blanked us and we had to rely on a lovely customer who kindly made sure there was no ladies prior to my mate changing her. When she eventually came around, she accused us of acting on our own accord instead of apologising for her shocking attitude. Would highly recommend this place, but any one who visits, please take note of this comment when she serves you, I promise you this comment will all make sense.

I have not eaten here so cannot comment on food. But service great, clientele a varied and pleasant mix. AND they sell Proper Job ipa...😁

Eton Mess Banoffee = Eaton Mess Ripoffee @ £7:50. Must have cost no more than 75p to make. Seriously! Served with little finesse. Member of staff who keeps saying “No Worries” but sounds like “Who Cares!” One of the most expensive desserts in town, but certainly not the best. Disappointed local who won’t rush back for more.

My husband just got viciously, verbally abused by the proprietress (so she claimed) of this pub. Why? Because my husband dared to put his hand on her car as he tried to get around it (having just taken a bad fall and injured his foot) because she was parked across the pedestrian crossing & refused to move. My husband is a pensioner. She screamed at him from her car & when my husband went into the Roebuck & bought a pint, she flounced in and nearly, very nearly put her hand on my husband to throw him out. Full pint on the table. In front of all her customers. Warwick is my husband’s home town, he’s related to the Griffins of Warwick who are mentioned in the Domesday Book. Shame on this woman, whoever she is!

Very good food and attentive staff. First visit for 4 years if anything an improvement.

Awful! Food wasnt great at all!!! Lunch sandwiches with bought filling, ‘artisan’ bread also from Asda or equivalent. Gluten free tomato ciabatta with one tomato & drizzled with a bit of vinegar was £8!!!!! Not even a smile from the dark haired lady when we entered then she was so ‘sickly’ nice. All fake & appalling. Asked if we had paid as we were leaving too. Not a place i would ever visit again!!

We've had traditional British food in a lot of places and found much of it bland and uninspiring. The food at the Roebuck was seasoned to perfection and delicious. It was easily the best meal we ate during our whole trip.

Lily,sab,Finn poured the best Guinness in Warwick even chilled the glass. Really made the experience as close to being in Dublin. Sab put a shamrock on top!

Old pub with a modern, cozy atmosphere in the heart of Warrick. Very clean and well maintained. Attention to detail in the furnishings and decoration. Friendly service. Menu with British and international dishes. Good quality and pleasant portion sizes. We recommend!

The Roebuck Inn, along Warwick town centre's Smith Street, complements Warwick's quintessential "English" persona. Over time the space inside the pub has been opened and extended to provide good restaurant capacity while preserving the "local" feel of the lounge/bar area. A musician was setting up on Saturday night for some live music. The Inn offered refreshingly imaginative options by way of specials when I was there. As with any quintessentially English town, parking is what it is and Warwick is probably not reputed for ample parking, but that's all part of the joy of England.

Used to be good with great service. But lately it’s gone downhill The young homeless looking kid with the tattoos behind the bar is more interested in using his mobile phone than serving customers. He doesn’t even speak to customers. It looks like others are following the same attitude. Not good. Won’t be returning

Looked like a old fashioned "one bar" working man's style of pub. Was not expecting the inside which was like walking into a Dr Who tardis. Decor was eye catching. Menu was plentiful. Food looked and smelled delicious. The gin & tonic mirrors were my highlight. Oh - and beer choice good.

Came in here yesterday in the mid-afternoon for a late lunch. Was served promptly and staff were very good & attentive. Food was good and the portion of lasagne was a lot bigger than I expected but not complaining! Certainly one of the more cheaper places to eat in Warwick from what we could find online. Would happily come back!

We have frequently visit the outstanding Roebuck Inn Warwick and we was lucky to find a table on Saturday night (unbooked) first class service by a wonderful young waitress by the name of Eden plus beautiful food ,once again from the kitchen. We had a totally enjoyable evening. Well done the team.

We visited here on a recent night out in Warwick, we stood at the bar and watched as others were served who arrived after us. A kind yound barmaid did notice and came over to serve us. We then sat down and found a table with a guy falling asleep drunk, another table across the way with a guy moaning because of how load it was, and then later upon visiting the toilet, was met with a chap really drunk and stumbling out the door with a black eye... I later went to the bar to try and get a second drink, and was abruptly told by an older lady "we don't serve there" - rather than ask me to move a few steps down the bar... A said you don't seem to serve over there either 🤣 she didn't see the funny side... Strange old pub, and not a place for us unfortunately...

Vegetable portions could be larger on the Sunday roast, and to know what the vegetables are is a plus, as I had sprouts amongst mine, which I would have asked to be left out if I'd known.

Lovely pub for a drink and snack. Do not eat here for your main meal as the portions are so small. My main meal of fillet of sea bass turned up on a large plate but food the size of a saucer. This is not a fine dining establishment. Service was good and polite.

It's a gorgeous old building with plenty of character and a brilliant atmosphere.

We came in for a drink after a meal on smith street and a lady behind the bar was a bit hostile and not very welcoming. Made us feel like our party of 10 was a big inconvenience, despite the pub being fairly sparsely filled.

By far my favourite pub in Warwick, not only for the food and cosy atmosphere but also the staff working here are amazing and are always very helpful and friendly. I came here recently as part of pub golf with a large group of friends and they were happy to accommodate us and offer a great selection of beers, despite how busy it was at the time. Is also the perfect pub to go to after a dog walk.

Poor fayre, I'm afraid. Sixty-minute wait when the pub was not that busy and the pricey food underwhelmed, particularly the awful fries. Manager was attentive but shocked when she asked how the food was and I replied: 'it's alright: I'd give you a 3/5. On reflection, I think it was lower than that. There are far better eateries nearby, for example, The New Bowling Green Inn. Avoid.

My friend and took a drive out to Warwick to see where we could go for a meal, came across Roebuck Inn, liked the look of the place and saw that they catered for my dietary needs. So we ordered a meal, and the food was absolutely delicious, of good portions and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly. We plan to to visit Roebuck Inn again in the near future. Will tell my friends and family about it.

It’s such a shame that front of house staff can do so much damage to a business. Offhand, make you feel like you are too much trouble, raised eyebrows and unapologetically rude. The mature lady is self important and rude and the female younger staff lack care and are not attentive. (Lads behind the bar are very good) The food wasn’t up to its usual standards, starters without dressing or garnish, mains thrown on the plates etc. too much competition with better service, food and value to bother coming here again. Shame as the sister pub in Henley in Arden is first class.

Was ignored at the bar. Then bar staff made me feel like I was interrupting their chat, when I was served. Beer banged down on the counter Staff member had turned away and was back to her chat while I was saying thanks for service. Not made to feel welcome.

Been here a few times and always enjoy it. Decor is lovely, staff attentive and food is tasty and well presented. My only criticism is the time goes too quick!

On arrival to say we were greeted would be making it sound too nice! The lady grunted at us and showed us to the table. Then she continued to huff and puff as we had one less than booked for due to Illness. At this point we were all very uncomfortable but thought it could only get better- we were wrong the attitude stayed for the whole evening and spoilt the occasion. We will not be back or recommend as long as this pair remain front of house.

Walked past here on the Friday morning (20th Oct) and the staff were decorating the door for Autumn/Halloween. It was very appealing so decided to head back here for lunch. I ordered a lovely prawn sarnie and a side of cheesy chips- both very tasty. They used proper strong tasting cheddar on the chips, yum! My husband had the prawn and chorizo linguine and was raving about it! Staff were friendly and service quick. We did have a cappuccino added to our bill that we didn't order but it was quickly rectified. A lovely lunch and we would return.

Wouldn't recommend Sunday lunch belly pork was too fatty 3 pieces of carrot tasteless cauliflower cheese and gravy and one very rude older waitress with no social skills

Found this place by chance and popped in for a light lunch. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and shown to a table. The service was amazing with a good and varied menu. Food and drinks promptly served and all was excellent. Amazing place, if we lived nearer this would be a regular choice for us. Well done.

We stumbled upon The Roebuck Inn by chance when looking for parking in Warwick. What a find, lovely decor and a nice warm atmosphere. My husband had the Roebuck Beef Burger, said it was up there with the best burgers he had eaten, lovely and dry and no excess fat, the fries were good too. I had the veggie lasagne, tasty and plenty of it. Great value. Will visit again.

A most enjoyable evening out with some friends and service was excellent and always with a smile ( even though all the staff had to wear a mask ) My latest visit was made more enjoyable by the staff not wearing masks and it made conversation a lot easier and more fun 😁😁😁😁😁 At this latest visit the pub was fuller watching the football. Still a enjoyable place to visit and service was excellent 👍.

What a rip-off! Four of us went for a meal and drinks, three of us ordered ox cheek and tagliatelle as a main from the specials board. When the food arrived the portions were minute - hardly even the size of a starter. We questioned the amount, the manager came to see us and apologised for meals. At first she said she would 'knock off a couple of quid' and offered the garlic bread we ordered for free. We were then told that if we had ordered the prawn meal we would have had a larger meal - suggesting it was our own fault! We paid and as we left saw that the meal had been crossed off the specials board. I guess they had one portion left and divided it between the three of us and hoped to get away with it. Be careful if you choose to eat here.

Very cosy traditional English pub with great beer & good food. Place is much larger inside than it looks from outside but can get rather rammed at peak periods. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Lovely warm welcome from all staff when eating here before a concert.lovely ambiance and decor.Great food and drinks choices .I had halloumi burger and partner beef burger. Both delicious and loved my chips in a cup as the vinegar spread from top to bottom,perfect! Toilets were very clean too.Would have happily stayed all night .

Don't trust the negative reviews. This is a great place to eat. Not Michelin quality but very tasty pub grub with wonderful staff. Lovely atmosphere and nice and clean. Gammon was excellent, and cheese and broccoli bake tasty. House wine is very good. Well, it's worth a visit.

Stopped here few times with friends and colleagues as part of a night out. Never eaten here. Always good service, nice surroundings. Good selection at bar.

Spent a fantastic day here today. Usually the Smith Street party is on but sadly not this year.The Roebuck put on a full day of music and entertainment. The place was packed out. Fab cocktails, great service & just the best atmosphere. Well done to the lovely staff and to Dilia and Michael for putting on a wonderful day xx ❤️

We went in for a family dinner recently, one of those pubs where everyone looks at you when you walk in if you’re not local. Barman was friendly enough, waitresses less so. food was pretty average as was the service. Not great. The main waitress possibly the owner very abrupt and acted like everything is too much trouble. Won’t go back.

Popped in on a quiet Monday evening and had a very nice pint of Old Peculiar but at £5.30 it was a bit of a shock!
