Excellent meal today for Mothers day. The staff were wonderful and the carvery was superb.

I didn't eat but the tiger beer was as usual very good worth a visit just for this!

Food was amazing best carvery I ever had

The food is really good here. Generous portions and the price point is spot on, so you feel like you're getting good value for money which is hard to come by these days. The kids menu is fantastic and their meals were brilliant. Between them, my four had pizza x2, mac & Cheese and chicken dippers. The pizza was obliterated in a matter of minutes as was the mac & cheese and the dippers were freshly battered chicken breast strips, not frozen ultra high processed dross - actually great quality. The adult mains were equally fantastic - notably, my wife had the katsu curry and it came with a huge butterfly chicken breast and tasted amazing. The only improvement points I'd provide and the reason I've given four stars are due to cleanliness. Being handed absolutely filthy menu's upon entry doesn't set the experience up well. It takes a second to wipe them down and is definitely something that let's the place down. I know it may seem trivial but seeing others food, drinks splashes and finger prints all over the menu to me is really off-putting. Secondly, the gents were in a right state. The last urinal was blocked with piss so you're naturally greeted with that pungent stench as soon as you walk in. The left cubical toilet seat was hanging off and pubes and old, dry piss stains decorated the toilet bowl. They clearly have no regular toilet checks but this would address the issue. The table was sticky, but I'm not sure if it was down to the wear of the varnish. Still, something that could be improved with a deep clean or re-varnish. Overall: Could be a five star if they kept up with basic cleanliness jobs, however the food is brilliant.

A pub/restaurant with a very busy unique atmosphere, staff are quite friendly, plenty of space and tables, there's enough parking, went for a stake and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food i had.. will comeback again..

Went in after a visit to castle my wife had a chicken meal which she enjoyed very much. I had fish and chips. Cut into the batter it was a sloppy mess felt like slime on the menu it said it was tiger batter god knows what the fish was very disgusting I hate giving bad reviews. Hope that look into it.

Went for the Sunday carvery, really worth going to for that alone.

Had a lovely carvery on Sunday, we sat in the conservatory and the atmosphere was really nice. Had my care client with me a day she had a wonderful time and enjoyed both her carvery and her sticky toffee pudding. When we arrived they asked what table we would like as my care client was in a wheelchair. Would definitely recommend.

Visited for dinner, food served throughout opening times is a big plus, lemon in tap water is another big plus, nothing to complain about the food either, the amount given was generous and the food was delicious, particularly enjoyed the crispy pork belly and berry crumbles. Staff were friendly. The only thing I guess why people say this place lacks atmosphere is the look of the interior, table and seating not looking quite like a pub? I didn't have much of a problem with it and enjoyed the visit.

We booked and arrived on time. On arrival we waited to be seated in a nearly empty pub and were told to sit anywhere and they would take our order. We sat for 20 minutes and were completely ignored. They even wiped down the table next to us but then walked off. Both staff were not busy. We walked out.

Probably the worst food I’ve eaten and the service was poor. The first waitress didn’t have a clue about the food or drinks offerings the second waitress was downright rude. I ordered beef bourginon and it was more like boiled beef and carrots, utter slop, all of the vegetables were cold and how do you get carrots to be rubbery? Definitely would go back!

4 stars is fair. We had the carvery and it was tasty enough with good plate and portion sizes at a reasonable price. Atmosphere was fine, just a star lost for the service - but could be different on a different day!

Excellent lunch and service , very good value at £16 for two meals. I had sausage and mash and my husband double burger both delicious

Not the best experience for a table of 7. The food was good but, unless we asked how long we had the table for, we were not told... turns out we didn't have a lot of time, and a 75th party was waiting for the table after us. There was a lot of pressure on us to leave and a shame as we are local and hadn't been before, probably won't go again...

Held a surprise 60th get together for hubby yesterday - the buffet food was amazing, the staff were brilliant and the conservatory was a perfect setting!! Everybody commented on how much food there was and the high standard for buffet food. Cakes were delicious! He had a fabulous time - thank you

Met here with friends I haven’t seen for a long time. Service was prompt and food was enjoyable and quickly served. It then went down hill. Lights were being turned off, music was turned off and it felt like we were being rushed to leave, this was before 9pm. If your running a business and advertised open til 11pm you shouldn’t be preparing to shut with people still in there. It made us feel really uncomfortable and cut our night very short.

Group of 16 preordered after trip to warwick castle light trail. All came out together. Everyone enjoyed there food, big portions. Great desserts. Staff were excellent. Very good all round.

First time my partner and i had eaten out on Christmas day. We had a three course meal. Turkey carvery for mains. I have to say it was a lovely experience . The food was perfect and the service was excellent. Very relaxed and friendly experience. Thank you.

Great food, good atmosphere definitely recommend the Katsu Curry and Kinder Cookie Dough for dessert and it was really good! Highly recommend!

Went here as a treat for a disabled wheelchair bound neighbour. What a disgusting and dreadful experience. The food served was under-cooked (the person waiting said she'd told the chef, no partial refund given the dish was hardly eaten - gammon (raw and pink, tough as leather), the service was atrocious and the table wasn't even cleared after a considerable amount of time before asking for the bill. We weren't even asked whether we wanted coffee or desserts. I'll not write further - never again.

Absolutely the best Gastro Pub in the midlands. Amazing management and staff. If there was ever a manual on how to run a pub the team here would be the authors. Highly recommend the steak which you can cook to your liking on a hot stone.

The carvery was disguisting. All meat was bone dry. Roast potatoes were solid, dry an cold, the cauliflower cheese was like slop (overheard one of the bar staff saying tje same). Absolutly vile, every bit of it.

We had a great time at the race horse, Definitely will visit again if in the area.

Lukewarm food, tough meat, cheese less cauliflower and very poor service. Definitely quantity over quality, but it is cheap.

Visited The racehorse for our yearly family meet up. The food was out of this world and we all really enjoyed it. Bit disappointed as we were seated right next to the carvery and constantly had people bumping into our chairs so it was very hard to relax as we felt very much in the way.

What a fantastic night best tribute act I have ever been to in the racehorse and the food was fantastic as always , bei g back cher again xx

Absolutely fabulous Sunday carvery! Generous helpings of meats and sides. Very very tasty indeed! Staff are super sweet, friendly and warm! The dessert selection is great too, and the Sticky Toffee pudding is not to be missed! Will be back again for sure.

Their Sunday lunch was excellent Had Roast Beef I hadn’t been there for a long time. Thankyou Amber and the team Will visit again for sure.

I have no idea where to begin with how great this place is. I was sent up Warwickshire for work commitments for a month and we stumbled across this little gem in warwick, this is the best food in the area hands down, the service is impeccable and staff are always happy to greet and make you feel comfortable, the food is amazing to the point where within my whole month stay in warwick, I was eating here every single day. You can tell the staff and chefs really care about there customers and I highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to warwick, I certainly will be eating here again when I return. Ryan served us every single day without fail he made us feel very comfortable and would always get us a table as soon as we walked in from a hard shift at work along with pints and menus, his service was brilliant and he is a massive credit to the racehorse!! we were really well looked after and this is why this place deserves a massive 5 stars, I just wish this place was closer to home as this would 100% be my local!! Honestly all the staff in the racehorse keep up the good service!! And I cannot wait to work in the area again and have some more amazing food.

Absolutely superb Christmas meal. Generous portions .. very tasty and staff very attentive. Christmas crackers and Trivia cards on the table added to the festive atmosphere. Highly recommend

10 of us went for a traditional Christmas dinner. The turkey and vegetables were well cooked and plentiful. Delicious! Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed it very much

**What a brilliant find for food.** Went to see Father Christmas at Warwick Castle, and then straight here for food. (2 mins drive) Booked for 4 pm turned up early and they said our table was ready. We had the traditional carvery - absolutely stunning. Thanks for an amazing meal

Our Golf Society held their Presentation Evening here on Saturday evening. The food was very enjoyable and plentiful and the service was good, well done to all the catering and waiting staff who also were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. This was made exceptional with Megan at the helm. Thank you all from our Society for making a really good evening for us.

Everything good. Except for the crumble pudding. There wasn't enough custard. That was a very small tablespoon full only!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were in on a Tuesday night, so it was quite quiet, but we would imagine the outside area gets super busy in the summer. Good food

Tasteless burgers and, believe it or not, equally tasteless chips. This was a big disappointment because I had been there before two years ago, and the fish and chips had been excellent. One other thing: The website says Sunday hours terminate at 9. But no; the restaurant actually closed at 8.

We visited The Racehorse on Friday to celebrate my parents 50 Wedding Anniversary. Organised as a surprise for them, the whole experience was brilliant From making the advanced booking, where understandably advanced food orders were requested, all our needs were taken into account We had a table positioned in the room at the back which provided ample of space for the party of 16. They took note of two individual allergies that my nephews have, making sure they even read out their order was theirs to avoid the wrong child getting the wrong meal. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, and staff were second to none. Thank you to the whole team who were oh that’s evening who looked after us! We will be returning!

Always loved this pub food good staff friendly peaceful place

Good local pub this. The food is good quality and good value. A decent range of beers as well and the staff are good, I hope it continues to be a success as there have been a few changes at this pub over the years. The only negative is the bar area is a bit soulless. Harsh overly bright lighting and hard surfaces everywhere, meaning it can be quite noisy and echoey.

Large open space pub with friendly helpful staff. Good menu from light bites, special deals, and traditional pub fare. Big benefit in Warwick is the availibility on site car parking.

We are caravaning nearby and got a takeaway carvery. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was stunning!! We come to warwick often so will definitely be back

We booked a big birthday lunch for our mum at The Racehorse last Saturday. We were a big group of 15 ladies and the customer service was excellent. George was brilliant! The other staff who served us were friendly, accommodating and very efficient too. Thank you for making a memorable celebration for us all. We highly recommend The Racehorse in Warwick.

Carvery on a Sunday is banging! Amazing value for money and the meats are cooked to perfection, good selection of veggies etc.

Lovely local restaurant as I live around the corner. Food was well presented and the staff (Laura) was friendly and polite. There were parties going on and staff had their hands full. However, the lady Laura came to apologise and explained why the long wait. Great price too. I love This place. See you soon

Beautiful place with really lovely food. I had the steak and stilton,loads of food cooked beautifully,my husband had gammon and equally lovely.will be returning when back in the area.

Our 1st visit here & had a really lovely meal Steak on a stone & 10oz Gammon nice food friendly staff & a lovely environment will definitely come back next time we visit Warwick.

We had the pleasure of George taking care of us this evening. He was friendly and attentive. My other half chose this place due to my dietary needs and they had a separate vegan menu with puddings! As I can't eat a lot of things, I normally only get maybe 2 choices and no pudding. I had soo many choices it was actually refreshing! The food was great and the service was 5 star. Thank you again (especially to George) for a really amazing dining experience!

Picked The Racehorce for dinner, and boy, was that a good choice we had George serving us he was amazing truly, and the food was so good as well. We will definitely be back again. 100% recommend if you are looking for a nice meal out.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Never visited this pub before. There's masses of parking. This pub is BIG. Service was prompt and efficient. The four of us had various drinks and a main course and dessert each. The food was fine- no complaints. The bill came to about £90.00, which I thought very reasonable. If we're nearby in the future, we'll definitely visit again.

Rushed the food and forgot items that went with it, also it's either over cooked or under cooked. The meat was tough, and the chips had a funny taste. We came here once a week for the steak, but now we go else where as this pub is going down hill. Such a shame. My opinion avoid this pub and find somewhere more decent.

Went for lunch. My partner and myself had small fish and chips, followed by a crumble. All told, the bill for 4 people was about £90- very good value.

Had their 2 for 16 lunch time deal which was very good value and a decent portion size. Has a separate gluten free menu with decent amount of options and separate fryer for chips. Staff were very nice and friendly.

On arrival had to ask for table to be wiped one meal OK other cold and debatable wether it met the description never asked if everything was OK been several times before seems as if staff have too much to do or lost interest

Delicious lunch and great service. Excellent menus, including a children's menu and a full vegan menu. The vegan Wellington with mash, broccoli, peas, and red wine gravy was superb.

Came for a wedding reception and can’t fault the staff, they bent over backwards for all guests and overall the day was so good. Vee was always around helping out everyone and just simply great, jess on the food service was spot on, so professional and great service while running the carvery. Thank you Racehorse staff :)

Very good food at reasonable prices which was served promptly. Plenty of space to park. Conservatory and outdoor seating area to the front made for a light and airy experience.

The food and drinks were excellent and the staff very pleasant.. however the table service wasn't the best and required a little prompting but would visit again...

Read the place was inviting, but upon dropping off there seemed to be zero interest in trying to get a table for us. The hostess didn’t even bother telling us how much we would need to wait for a table and seemed unhappy to be there.

Very nice venue caters for a variety of meals, we came for the cavery the food was good but the waitres that was serving us was very polite funy and knowledgeable.

Had an amazing time at the Racehorse today, I was up from Wales visiting family and we decided to come out for a meal, I can't fault the place at all, Vee our server was absolutely amazing, she made the experience that bit better. We'll definitely be coming here for meals in the future

Staying in the area for a long weekend, thought we’d give this place a try, and it didn’t disappoint! Was easy to book a table and there was plenty of tables inside and outside. Good menu and nice food served by friendly and welcoming staff, prices were very reasonable.

Very friendly staff and management,all of whom are welcoming and cheerful especially with it reverting back to the Racehorse 🐎As per usual the staff and management are very helpful and friendly 😃very comfortable seating can usually be found indoors or outside.👍 The meal was very tasty and there was a good selection of vegetables to go with the meats😋, I revisited the pub and the staff were all still very helpful and polite and service was great. Still a welcoming reception from the staff and management who were all most courteous and helpful with service the food was very good. As per usual I was welcomed by smiling and courteous staff who served me promptly 👍👍😁😁.

Found it via “justoffjunction.co.uk”. Great place to stop for lunch as an approx halfway point on a long drive.

My family and i came in on Saturday (10th August) we were a group of 6 and came in around 4 o'clock so it wasnt too busy. The food was good and the place was nice but it was the staff that made our visit excellent. Our server Vee was helpful, attentive and had a great sense of humour she was happy to joke about with both the adults and the kids when her duties allowed. She is a credit to you guys and we feel she went the extra mile for our family. If I'm ever back in Warwick I will definitely visit again and would be more than happy to recommend to friends and family.

Good food and service. Went with family from the USA and they really enjoyed it. Would recommend anyone going to Warwick and the Castle to try it.

Came for a drink just before 8 and got turned away as they’d stop serving drinks and food. Such a shame as heard lovely things. Even worse, there were multiple people sitting down with said food and drinks.

After spending a day at Warwick Castle, this was exactly what we needed! Faultless food, brilliant service, perfect for youngsters and all at a decent price. If you're staying at the Knights Village, then this place is a superior alternative for dinner and drinks within walking distance.

Had the beef brisket soft tacos and OMG they were amazing! Will definitely be coming back for Taco Tuesday. Decent portion and reasonably priced (which seems to be a rarity for Warwick nowadays!).

Driven past many times but never been in till recently. Very friendly staff, Guiness well kept and poured. Food I had was delicious and good portion size. Nice outdoor area.

We booked the racehorse for a private event for our daughter’s 5th birthday in the lovely conservatory at the racehorse. The service was fantastic from booking through to the day. They were so flexible in amending the menu to cater for the 5 year olds, supplying in yoghurts etc. on the day they were even so kind as to lend us cellotape to hang up our decorations. Would 100% recommend.

A pleasant lunch time break. Only had starters and a pudding but both were tasty and good value. Good choice on the menu and they also do a 2 for £16 menu during the week at lunchtimes which I have had before. Good sized car park. All in all an enjoyable experience which we will repeat in the future

We were staying in the area for the weekend and came across this place purely by accident. We are pleased we did and if you look at my reviews we can be hugely critical! We arrived to a very warm welcome and that is a massive differentiator in our book! The service was brilliant, choice of ale excellent and the carvery the best we had. The guy serving us was so funny and made everyone smile. Brilliant job from the ‘smiley’ team. Thank you 😊

2nd visit...popped in one quiet weekday afternoon. Very quiet that afternoon but attentive friendly staff. Good solid pub grub very reasonably priced 2 for £16 from a range of mains. Plentiful parking and nice seating outside. Only minor criticism would be the bar area is a bit tired in terms of furniture but they've got it where it counts.

Really lovely pub. Went in a large group and everyone enjoyed their food. Role cookie dough pudding was especially fabulous!!! Good selection on the menu, although few more vegetarian options would make it perfect but there was a choice which is great. Would recommend visiting this pub and will definitely be back

Well what can I say. 7 of us visted yesterday for father's day. We all had the carvery it was amazing. Service top notch, friendly service, couldn't do enough for us. Food absolutely astounding. Thank you racehorse well will be back.
