Hotel Chocolat Shrewsbury in Shropshire

Amazing place, the hot chocolate was delicious. We had a mini mouse desert and wow was delicious! The man was so helpful and joined me up to their VIP rewards scheme which has saved me loads online!

Simply the nicest staff we have come across anywhere. The lady with the brown ponytail is an absolute gem. Cheerful, helpful and welcoming all day long. We visited morning and then 5 hours later.. she was still fabulous. You don’t come across this level of service very often. A credit to the company. The chocolate’s not bad either! Thank you!

Lovely staff wonderful drinks but oh dear air conditioning roaring away making the place freezing and the door wide open so over kill . My hair literally being pulled out by the forceful air conditioning

Called in today for a hot chocolate ordered and told to take a seat, when the hot chocolate arrived there was no cream on it I asked where it was to then be told the machine was broken, I then tasted the hot chocolate it was like drinking hot milk had to get them to make another. When the second one arrived it was ok not the best , if I was told when ordering there was no cream I’d have gone to coast

I was exploring Shrewsbury and visited Hotel Chocolat to relax and enjoy a hot drink. This is the first time I've been to a Hotel Chocolat for a drink. And I've got to say that the hot chocolate was one of the best I've had. It was very delicious. And the cream on top was especially good! Highly recommended.

Ever since our town's local chocolatier 'Chocolate Gourmet' went out of business we've been using Hotel Chocolate to buy chocolate for gifts and personal treats. Whereas The Chocolate Gourmet produced beautiful hand-made, high-quality chocolates in house, Hotel Chocolate sells a mass produced product that's just above supermarket Thorntons. Don't get me wrong, I will gladly devour a box of their chocolates....however, the reality is that their product is largely average at best. This year, we bought 4 x 'Everything' boxes, for approx £100 yet, while the selection is indeed varied, every chocolate manages to feel the same. Scaling their business model up to facilitate their 100+ stores has inevitably meant cutting out better quality ingredients and making changes to manufacturing methods. It's a real shame Shrewsbury's artisan chocolatier went out of business not long after Hotel Chocolate arrived on our high street. I really miss the quality and the variety they offered. To be able to buy REAL artisan chocolates - for a fraction more than Hotel Chocolate - was a real treat. One positive of HC is their staff who are always very friendly and helpful. Just a shame their product leaves a lot to be desired.

Quality of food good but service from a particular young girl was extremely poor, she was eating a pie from another shop whilst serving and looking at her personal phone ignoring us. The chairs were untidy and we were the only customers. She shouted across the shop for us without addressing us in any way to take our drinks. Nothing cold was available but she didn’t care to explain. Would come back only to purchase goods and hope to have better service.

Amazing customer service from Gina (I think that was her name) she was absolutely brilliant, this place would be lost without her. So polite & friendly and very helpful. Chocolate Milkshakes were lush, if you have one, pay the extra for chocolate mousse on top of the milkshake, it makes the drink even more amazing.. We're looking forward to our return.. Many Thanks

We had just left the prison tour and were cold and in need of a hot drink. Hotel Chocolat was the first place we came to where we could get a drink and we therefore decided to give it a try. The girl servicing was very helpful. We said we didn't want cream on our drinks so she gave it us on the side which was a nice touch. The hot chocolate was very nice, as was the cream, if a little expensive.

On Monday the 6th of December I went into Hotel chocolate pride Hill Shrewsbury it was 26 minutes past 5 the door was open so I thought I was still ok to shop I new exactly what I wanted some marzipan figs and kirsh cherry's as I walked through the door a young lady in uniform greeted me pleasantly then from behind the counter a girl wearing grey casual clothes shouted WERE CLOSED quite aggressively I was really taken back how rude she was I did pick up what I wanted when I paid the lady and a man may as well have thrown them at me I will not shop there again what a shame 😢 Mrs G Mcleod
