New staff... Great atmosphere! Almost immediately we had a warm welcoming. Everything has had a fresh, new look and feel to it. The staff are great and put lots of entertainment on. Looking forward to going in again soon. Well done team!

Easily the worst pub in burton. Not clean at all and absolutely awful staff (the ones I encountered anyway). Definitely the place if you looking for a bad experience this is it.

Old fashioned proper pub. Nice ale, good smoking area, Wi-Fi wasn't available on my visit however the bar maid was friendly and helpful. Had 2 pints of the pedigree and both were spot on. Also a very good price.. No faults here may return tomorow

Hadn't been in the Anchor for years, decided to pop in on a Friday night with a couple of freinds, wasn't busy, dj/karaoke on ! clientele a bit rough but friendly enough but jeez.......the barman! I actually thought it was a joke at first he was so so rude! No welcome, smile, please or thankyou! Asked for small white wine spritzer in tall glass, gave me a mini wine bottle with a small glass with bit of lemonade in, asked if I could have a pint glass with half lemonade he said 'why' , proceeded to give me a pint glass then I asked for a straw! His face! He glared at me and said no! Good job we saw the funny side and the barmaid did eventually give me a straw but honestly I've never seen anything like it, it was like one of those wind up shows with a fly on the wall camera! So chappy behind the bar u probably need a bit (a lot) of customer service training unless that's the sort of service your regulars like but I won't be going back in a hurry!

When we meet up with friends in the town we usually meet at The Anchor, its probably the best for atmosphere, the Pedigree has a reputation for being the best kept in the area and has an extensive food menu. Be warned though that it is has a strong regulars clientele who like the juke box! It certainly doesn't bother us in fact it adds to the character of a very real pub. Worth a visit if you are a stranger to the town, you will get a good welcome.

I have never eaten in the Anchor Inn but I have heard the the food is plain English food - expect to see on the menu sausages, chops etc. the portion size is very generous so a good appetite required. The decor is horrendous, I imagine this was a wonderful town centre pub years ago but some idiot at a brewery somewhere saw fit to knock it all into one. Painted in bright white by what looks like a team of monkeys. However the beers & atmosphere is great. We'll worth a drop in if your in Burton town.

I've eaten here several times and always been impressed. Only things to be aware of are that the food is predominantly fish (there are steaks, etc too) and the "décor" is more pub than restaurant. Service is always friendly and efficient and food delicious. Good beer selection (and wine). Best to book in advance, especially in the summer.

A town centre pub with a local feel. The best Pedigree I have tasted! The carvery on a Sunday is fantastic for my husband and I always ask for a jacket potato and they have no issue cooking something up (if they have it) that's not on the menu. Things can get quite rowdy on a Friday and Saturday night with the disco but its great fun. I would recommend this pub. Great atmosphere, really great staff and the quality of the real ale is superb.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and just happened to pass the Anchor Inn. Great freshly home cooked sunday lunch. The service here was great, very friendly and they cooked our son sausages and chips which wasn't on the menu. We will definitely visit again.
