The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

This place is outstanding the lunch menu is brilliant also the food portions are good value for money. Also it nice when your the staff know you which makes the restaurant so much better and friendly. There is one member of staff who is outstanding and that person is Donna m she is a fantastic waitress also makes very smile and always want to back also she takes the time talking to the customers which I find good cause you can always go away feeling happy. I such a shame a shame it closing it doors

Lovely food. Our server Claire was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble given that we were a large group of 22 people.

I came here for a quiet pint after a hard day at work and a wonderful bar tender called Mel served me. Brilliant woman, very smiley and made me laugh. Brilliant service and great team on the floor too who I believe was Lauren, nice relaxed atmosphere and great staff. Will come back again.

45 mins waiting for puddings with children's meals. Forgot half the food with other meals. Went to children's area, filthy. Staff miserable. Had to ask three members of staff if I was able to move another table over so we could all sit together, looking at me like I had 3 heads...terrible customer service. table still full of our plates after an hour of finishing. Went to the toilets, bogeys all up the walls the dust is that thick it's stuck to the walls. Grime all up the walls where you put clean hands under drier. Male toilets out of order... Used filthy smelling red mop in food areas. I've never felt the need to write a review for anywhere before. In shock that the place is even open.

We are a family of 5 , 7 year old and 3 year old twins. The food was sub standard and I would not return again. The resort needs to do better considering this is one of their better restaurants. Staff were nice but service was slow.

Had our last breakfast here on the last day before they closed for good. Food amazing as usual. Very sad day. This restaurant has been a landmark for 50 years & yet no one still knows what the future holds for this building. There is nothing like it round here & nowhere for Premier Inn guest to eat. So short sighted of Whitbread to close such a busy iconic business. The staff are devastated. BIG MISTAKE WHITBREAD!! THIS WAS NOT AN UNDER PERFORMING SITE!! Gutted

Our waiter MORTON was such a polite young man, who ensured we had the best visit, I spoke to his manager who had said he’d only been there 3 weeks what an amazing job he’s doing.

Went for lunch with family, service was impeccable from all staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food came out in good time and was spot on. Kelly on the bar was excellent and our server Michelle went above and beyond. Excellent desserts made by Vicky. A credit to hungry horse

As usual loverly food beef was excellent and vegetables great only gripe was Yorkshire puds were very tough and also the roast potatoes. Did notice that prices have increased too. Otherwise fantastic as usual.

We didn’t have a reservation, it was a Sunday around 1 pm and they seated us quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful however there was a distinct lack of the! We got drinks quickly however sat for over 30 minutes before someone finally came to take our food order . Food was fine . Upstairs room and view is pretty sweet !

End to end wedding service has been dreadful, was fine before the new owners took over. False promises given with 0 knowledge on how to actually coordinate a wedding. Line to the venue has been cut off with no real contact since Covid. The way people are treated is DISGUSTING.

Had a great meal, very friendly staff especially Sharon! Would definitely be coming back for more, Really enjoyed the salad bar and the burgers!

Lovely evening and great food! Mentioned it was my mums birthday and they bought her out a birthday desert on the house! Great service by Tom!
