Great chips, nicest ones had for a long long time. Chicken freshly cooked and lovely, as were the chips. Excellent. Thank you.

Had abit of a mixup on the order but phoned the restaurant and they sent me what i did order if im honest im shocked they did being as it was so close to closing time excellent service

food was cold large fish no flavour and large chips more like reg chips and cold curry sauce was nice and garlic pizza bread was also nice so only 3 stars and was half hr late I don't mind but food was cold so driver was late and food must of been waiting .. but not good

Ordered via Uber eats tonight 2 hours after ordered it arrived cold and not just that sent wrong pie. Never again. AVOID!

£4 for a tiny box of chips. Cold and old kebab meat. Would have sooner be told no food left than have scrats left at end of night. Used to love this place. Won’t be paying 40p for A chip again.i would hate to see how many u get in a cone of chips.

Always order from here as it’s good portions and quality. Was disappointed today the mixed meat chips and salad was mainly chips and the sausage was covered in salt when I specifically asked for none. It won’t put me off ordering from here again, everyone has an off day once in a while.

The chips were rock hard like they had been warmed up from lunch and considering it was a large mixed meat there was hardly any meat on it, always use here but maybe time to look elsewhere 🙁

Not all the food arrived-no chips from the chip shop?! When contacted the shop, I was advised more would be sent-that was yesterday and I’m still waiting!

Food arrived cold and portion size was too small regarding chips I had 2 reg bags of chips paid £7 which were the size of a cone and there were like scratchings and cold and no salt and vinegar the worse chip shop dinner I have ever had never again

Food arrived late and cold. Order was missing over 13£ worth of food. Tried to call to get missing order and was told 5 mins for missing items. It’s been over 40 mins and still no order has turned up. Phone number is not ringing now funnily enough.

I'm from canada. I read that this was the best place in Walsall. I made my husband take me here and I was not disappointed. Best Fish and chips i've had in england !!!! I can't believe what you get for the price in england. What? I got there for about 20 pounds.Would be about a hundred dollars in canada. I will definitely be back.

the manager is extremely rude and spoke to his young staff poorly. they all worked extremely hard meanwhile he gave them a hard time despite being young an inexperienced. Portions was good although it was fatty

I did an order on just eat, the food was cold, I ordered sauces on my meals and had none, no way will I order again I will be complaining to just eat

Considering having read the reviews… I expected better quality than I had gotten. The sausage was shrivelled up and dryer than sand paper as well as being saltier than bacon. The meat wasn’t so bad.. but it looked as though it had been recooked? Maybe it was just the type of chicken they used- I’m not sure. Otherwise the delivery was the best part

This has to be the best chippy I've had, the price is actually decent with how much they give you, when they say mini fish and chips it ain't mini it's massive compared to other mini fish chip shop, my daughter doesn't like fish but she tried mine and loved it, we're all full and so much left over but will definitely be ordering here again!!

This is a review for the original Aldridge Chippy on Anchor Road Absolutely the worst fish and chips I've had since the last time I used Aldridge Chippy, probably about 5 years ago. We wanted a small piece of fish and small chips. We were told by the server that would be a mini fish special which included a battered sausage and a sauce. We didn't want a battered sausage or the sauce so asked if they could be omitted from the order. The answer was no! As a pescatarian I object to having meat placed in the same container as my fish and chips! No choice was given over salt and vinegar. I didn't want either. The fish was grey, overcooked and dry and to be honest, disgusting. The batter oozed fat. The chips were vile.

Shocking management and terrible attitude to staff from the manager. The small pathetic so called man of a manager is a bully to his staff, swearing and shouting at the girls. Ordered classic fish and chips and the fish was sweaty and chewy. Easily the worst takeaway ive ever had, food was horrible so threw it away where it belongs. Poor girls looked like they were gonna cry as the manager was shouting from the back room doing whatever dodgy stuff he does.

One pizza was squashed so much we had to bin it and chips were old or overcooked this time, 90% of the time the foods top notch though 👍 will still order weekly as we are classing this as a one off.

Major let down. Chips were no good. Mixed a few fresh cooked with old dried out chips. Everything else was ok. Wasn’t really worth the money but…. Hope this was just a one off

I asked for salt on my scallop and I was given a scollop drowned in salt. The chips were overcooked. Overall poor quality and order was delayed 10 minutes.

I presume it is the owner that is a complete bully. I hope the young girl that was working there last night has left because the way she was spoken to was appalling. After confronting him about it, he still continued to argue back and wrongly blamed the young girl for slow service. What we witnessed was bullying and I hope someone reports him!

The best fish and chips in the local area! The mushy peas aren't mushy they're more like marrowfat peas and a bit watery

The fish was piping hot but chips a little cool so had to go in microwave. On the whole very tasty. First time using Just Eat so might try again.

Unfortunately the food, both the fish chips and mushy peas and the Pizza was barely warm. The fish had been reheated more than once and was as hard as a house brick, the chips were soggy. I ordered a Pepperoni pizza which arrived as as a Margarita! NO Pepperoni. I will not be ordering from Aldridge Chippy 2 ever again, it was atrocious.

The quality of food was brill, along with the price and the delivery person was pleasant!

How can you justify charging £3.40 for a cone of chips and £3.90 for a regular bag of chips..when I can go to Fridays chip shop in Brownhills and only pay £2.50 for a regular bag daylight robbery and greedy you deserve to go out of business with them prices..how can you justify from £2.50 to £3.40.for the same regular bag of chips

Only ordered from here twice, first time the food was very very nice! Tonight not so good. Fish was really nice, kebab meat was good and curry sauce nice. sausage was ok. It was mainly the chips let it down kinda dry and a little hard, also I ordered a large chips, i paid £4.50 and they came in a box, a box that's only a little longer than a large sausage. That was not £4.50 worth of chips and should really of come as normal wrapped in paper. The amount we got was what we'd usually get as a cone from our normal chippy for a lot less so this was disappointing. Also the boxes where wet through on the bottoms to the point my fingers went through them as i was getting them out the bag. Delivery time has been good both times.

Called in while passing, was hungry but wished I had'nt bothered, ate in the van straight away but pie was cold, chips were tasteless. The fish had a very strong taste so wasnt fresh, dog didnt seem to mind tho. Definitely wont be calling in again when passing. Overpriced to boot....

20 min wait in shop, not a problem they were busy. Mixed meat and chips. Chips hot, all the meat was stone cold!! I live 30 seconds from the shop. So not the travel getting it cold. Not impressed.

Second time in a row been disappointed with our order and will not be ordering from here again! Fish was dry, kebab hardly any salad or sauce, last time no salad with the kebab at all. Second chance but wished we’d ordered from somewhere else!!!

3 times I have ordered from this place now, being my local is like to support it but each time it has gotten worse, the food is always soggy when delivered and usually like warm but today it was stone cold, ordered through just eat spent over £15 to be offered a £4.69 refund !!! I will not be returning and will let everyone know how bad it has got

This chip shop varies too much in quality, sometimes the chips are ok, never great! but they are often soggy and greasy. The fish is average and staff can be a bit miserable. Aldridge chippy 1 is much better or the mermaid fish in the high st do golden battered chips to die for.

Just had a delivery, portion chicken missing from order, chips not even cooked, nearly raw, over food over cooked and cold, spent about £20, for a disgusting meal gone in the bin, will not go there again

Doesn’t deserve any stars whatsoever! But had to give it one to post. Chips were undercooked hard in the middle. Scallop was burnt black underneath and hard and undercooked inside. Fishcake was soggy mess, and noticed the price gone up to £2, £2 for a soggy mess! The whole lot went into the bin. Chicken and mushroom had a strange sweet taste and cold in the middle and pastry soggy! went into the bin. Is this chippy owned by the same people as Aldridge chippy in Aldridge?! If it is they need to take some lessons from them how to cook! Would rather travel further and get good quality food that is cooked better. Won’t be going back!

It hurt me to give 1 star this place deserves a minus worst takeaway ever chips cold mushy peas might aswell got a can out the cupboard and ate them was freezing Save ya money don't go here Never will I go here again since the last manager left gone downhill My star rating minus 5

What a fish!! Having travelled extensively over the UK, I have come across many great chip shops. Some with great service, some with great food but I have NEVER had a simple cod cooked so perfect!!! The batter was so crispy that when I bit into it the crunch gave me tinnitus
