The staff were wonderful and very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Went for a works night out, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Keiran and Lukas couldn’t have help more.

Great food and really friendly staff. Took advantage of the 50% off and the pub is great. Menu standard for an Ember Inns but really tasty and plenty to choose from. We had the Tikka Skewers, I upgraded for an extra £1 to Cajun fries with cheese melted sauce, halloumi Fries and Sausage and Mash. Parking great with lots of space. Outdoors, even though in winter, looked very cosy with heaters. 3 fires indoors creating a great warmth and smell but not enough to stain the smell of clothes

Kieran and Lucas were our waiters, very friendly and attentive, the food was amazing and came relatively quickly. The fires in the pub added a nice touch to the atmosphere. 10/10 will definitely be coming here again. Value for money is unmatched.

Food, drink and service is great!

It was just after new year. The pub was busy but the staff levels were low. Hence getting served at the bar for drinks or food was taking such a long time that some folks were walking away. I would have bought mire drinks with our meal but did not as fhe que was a ridiculous length. Food was good. That was a positive .

Menu choice, options to swap sides or add extras was great and easy. Price was very reasonable. Food was lovely, served hot and everyone in our party of 10 enjoyed what they had. Staff were attentive and friendly. We will definitely return. Thank you

There was a really long wait for food and when the fish finger sandwich came, the toasted bread was burnt and fish well overcooked. The atmosphere was lovely and so was our waiter but not all staff were the same. Thankful for a dog friendly pub though.

New years eve. The pub was busy, our meals were spot on. Food and bar service was good. A really nice pint( or more). And fair prices. A lovely night, thank you.

We were a large party of 11 and everything was brilliant! The food was delicious and all came out really hot. The waitresses worked really hard and even boxed up a 3 course meal for us as one of the party were too ill to attend. We always go out for a meal on Boxing Day and have never had a meal as good as this. We have never visited before but will be coming way more often

We booked Christmas Day lunch and our table was not in the restaurant it was in the bar area. The bar was packed & rowdy as Xmas day so had lots of people around us and people asking to sit at the end of our table to sit drinking! ( This was not acceptable especially as with my 11 year old daughter and booking for Christmas Day lunch vs drinking is significantly different) The was also no table service for drinks so had to wait 25 minutes to be served at the bar. At the time of our booking this should have been brought to our attention the table location & no table service for drinks as I would have not booked the table. Not sure why drinks were not offered to be pre ordered either! The staff member we complained too was not interested or sympathetic to our situation. My husband even complained and said that his father is seriously unwell and if he wanted to be this close to people he would have invited them to our kitchen / diner where we usually have our own cooked dinner. The lady (assistant manager I think) did not care and just said that’s your table. The Christmas dinner was disgusting to overcooked potatoes that were not fresh and had just been kept warm in oil to rock hard, cabbage, peas and sprouts! The turkey was dry & hard. Not once after being there for over 2 hours did anyone come over to check if anything was ok with our food. Half the table was cleared from the starters plates then the mains came out while we still had some of the starter plates! Again when the courses were brought out no one asked if everything was ok. The toilets were disgusting (had no soap in men’s) and both stunk. You either need to get more staff to cater better and be able to serve drinks better (don’t serve all the regulars first even though they were behind people in the queue) I would never visit your establishment again as this experience totally ruined our Christmas Day as ended up having to cook when we got home! We wanted this day to be special as my father in law has Stage 4 Cancer so we are very lucky to have him with us this Christmas. We spent over £370 on this meal so this is a shocking experience and one we will never forget.

Had a family after Christmas lunch, food was excellent, service was excellent, we all had a great afternoon, the staff mere fantastic couldn’t do enough for you 👍👍

Had steak and mash today. It was absolutely amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection but the mash was the best thing on my plate. Cleared the lot.

Only popped in for a swift pint as you do, the bar staff made me feel welcome. Very polite, even thought I asked the most bizarre request.

The beer 🍺 was flat and taste like they haven't cleaned the pipes of the beer barrel for a while. The service wasn't with a smile, being rude. Wouldn't waste my money to go there.

Booked for this weekend for Santa, didn’t realise that date online wasn’t for Santa but left it in the notes, a lovely gentleman ‘Kieran’ rang to let me know I’ve not booked in with Santa, and they had Santa first week dec. I was absolutely gutted. He went out his own way to find me & my children to be booked to see Santa somewhere else! He has saved me of messing up big time. Massive thanks to Kieran !!! Not many kind people in the world these days but this assured me there still is. Merry Christmas Kieran! We’ve used the longhorn for every celebration, get together etc over the last few years, always brilliant food & amazing staff. Thankyou.

Wouldn't recommend we booked for 4 but had an extra person they tried 2 put 5 of us on a table for 4 people then to top it all off we had to wait an hour for our food in which I was hungry the puddings were un satisfactory obviously the staff can't cope with people complaining if ur in that sort of job u should be able to deal with difficult customers

So angry is an understatement. I booked the longhorn for my daughters 21st birthday, so I could get all the family together and when I get there I'm told I have no booking that another manager had cancelled it, with no warning to me or phone call I might add. We had to go to another place just so we could get food. This isn't the first time either back in February my sister booked here, for my mom's 70th birthday and this was all canceled with no warning. This isn't good enough at all. My daughter special occasion was spoil,so thanks to THE LONGHORN and the management team 👏👏 never book this place for anything No contact was made what so ever and to lie about it is disgusting behaviour. A member of the bar staff told the manager on site that it was cancelled only the evening before and the manager on call was a angry as I was. Yes u got us into another venue but we had to travel further out to get there, we had kids with us also. Shame on u all .

Good pub food at reasonable prices. We ordered via the app and this was quickly acknowledged with drinks arriving promptly. A query from the chef was handled very efficiently by our server, Lucas. A good evening out all round.

Food and Drinks were great, Grace and Ella looked after us and was very attentive.

Family evening meal including drinks, all meals were presented well and drinks were served professionally. We received a friendly efficient service at the bar and table. The food was enjoyable, the table ordered steaks, surf and turf, burger, hunters chicken and a prawn side. Staff waiting the tables Gracie and Ella worked very hard during the evening, they have a lovely attitude ensuring customers are happy with their meals. As a local I can really see the improvements made over the past couple of years.

Nice clean fresh pub suitable all ages children allowed for eating only .good carparking with outside seating areas. Reasonable priced food good quality and fair range of real ales . Special offers on certain days foid and drinks

I can recommend The Longhorn for a great place to eat and relax. The open fires really add a warm ambiance to the whole vibe of the pub. The food was absolutely delicious! Piping hot, really tasty and great value. The staff were really friendly. Loved that its dog friendly, even had a table with fresh water anf treats for your 4 legged visitors. It a really nice touch to an already amazing place. Would 100% recommend to family anx friends!

Nothing food was good staff we friendly and welcoming

There was notice to advise that meals were 45 minutes wait time which was fine as it was so busy but we didn't have to wait that long which was great. The starters came out but my sister had soup and it was cold so had to be sent back which was a shame as we had all finished our starters and she was left eating on her own. There were no issues with the main course , everything was great. The staff were all really lovely and there was great care taken with our order when we let her know that one of our party was gluten free - really appreciated :-)

Food and service were great.. The restaurant was very cold. This makes me reluctant to come again. Yes there was a workman fixing a fire exit but even when he had finished the restaurant didn't warm up.

I meet my friends here every month. We come back because the staff are so helpful and the food is good. There is a wide choice of dishes all presented nicely. We stay along time but are never rushed. The choice of seating is good and it is always clean. Really love it here and it doesn’t break the bank.

Food was cold went Sunday 27th and had Sunday dinner and the meal was cold gravy was watery and cold worst meal had there

Went to this public house on Sunday 1st time visiting this establishment. Food staff and atmosphere all were outstanding. The staff were so attentive to customers needs absolutely brilliant would highly recommend.

We decided to pop in on the way home as we've eaten there before. On this occasion the food was not to our liking the calamari starter though there seemed plenty of was very salty as was our main meal rib of beef. Not a good day in the kitchen.

Despite being busy (there was a 40% off mains offer) we were served quicky, food was good and staff were smiley and helpful.

Will always like this place. However, meal today was not nice, had crunchy chicken chiabata lunchtime meal and the chicken was greasy, chewy and just grey. Both me and friend thought the same.

Everything was going well until dessert. 45 min wait and we then had to cancel because we had to leave. No explanation and no apology. Poor customer experience

Was treated to lunch out here. Food was beautiful I saw chocolate orange sponge on the set menu and was sold. 😂😂 For starters I had garlic ciabatta main as Haddock fish cake and chips Then dessert, omg it was delicious is recommend it to everyone Service was great Food was served quickly and I have allergies this is the first place that have actually asked me and endured my food was labelled when it was delivered to our table Will definitely be going back

Dropped in- unplanned - on a Thursday afternoon. Fairly quiet with prompt service at the bar. Food very nice - usual chain pub grub - but lovely fresh, crisp salad. Nice friendly staff.
