Recently moved to the Walsall area and love a carvery so came here. I will say that the first few times we came the service was awful and often we were receiving rude comments and being ignored by our server, even so far as our server ignoring food allergies and being unapologetic. The food quality is fine, it’s often a hit and miss on different days and heavily depends on the server you get on the carvery deck and at your table. The value for money is okay, I just wish there was a bit more variety. However, I would come back even though the food isn’t that great if it was Chloe serving myself and my husband every time. She is polite, kind and very funny and always is very attentive to us whenever we come in. No matter how swamped she seems to be she’s always very pleasant and provides excellent service. This is the second time we have had her as a server and she always makes us feel welcome. Thank you Chloe :)

Starting with the only negative, the car park is rather poor, probably didn't help many customers weren't correctly in bays. Otherwise it was absolutely faultless, it was a very busy Sunday but Staff were super quick with service from start to finish, a brilliant team, all food was well topped up, carvery was brilliant. A genuinely great time and meal.

Erin was a really kind an enthusiastic waiter but food wasnt up to scratch the chefs looked like they work in the coal mines jackets were filthy one chef had his trousers rolled up lol overall 4/10

Wow! Me and my family love this place! The atmosphere is great, and what we like the most is the excellent service; it always brightens our day as they have smiles on their faces and are super friendly. We’ve never had a bad experience here, the food is always on point and delicious! We come here almost every week or two, the kids are always asking to go here!❤️👏😍

Came recently for a Sunday Roast having not visited for many years. Enjoyed it but will avoid Sundays - way too busy

Disappointed to say that after a very nice carvery the service was almost none existent. No offer of getting us another drink or a dessert after taking away our plates. After about 30 minutes we decided to leave and get a dessert from a nearby McDonald’s. Have to say although it was quite busy we felt the service was no near as good as we usually get.

Don't order your Sunday dinner on Uber Eats. £17 for a meagre 2 slices of meat and a small amount of gravy is simply not good enough. They pack the rest out with a load of mashed potato to make it look bigger than it actually is.

Caitlin our waitress was so polite helpful and so knowledgeable with the menu and the food was so enjoyable as this was a family birthday meal.

I hate leaving bad reviews but sadly the service we recieved (and were made to pay for) was appalling. Decided to eat here Easter Sunday and it was suprinsingly quiet given the day. Plenty of empty car parking spaces as well as tables. No queue for the bar/carvery etc. We waited to be seated and then waited a further 20 minutes for the waitress to come back to take our order. Eventually gave up, and went to the bar to order as she still hadn't returned. (Eventually found the waitresses stood at the bar all talking together). Ordered 2 meat cavaries and 1 vegetarian carvary. After an hour my vegetarian carvary still hadn't arrived and I ended up having a plate of potatos and stuffing! The bill came and I had still be charged full price for a "vegetarian meal" of nothing but potatos and stuffing. Upon querying it I was told that it was the "discounted price". I do not call £12.99 for a plate potatos, stuffing and gravy "discounted". In fact I would call it the exact opposite. When stating this I was told by the waitress that I could have gone back up for seconds if I were still hungry? So yet again more potatos and stuffing. I ordered a vegetarian melt, I shouldnt have to fill up on vegetables due to their error. I was told that there was a lack of communication between the waitresses, bar staff, carvary staff and kitchen staff which meant my order had not been put in, but apparantly I still had my moneys worth and was charged £12.99. As we were about to leave, the manager came over and appologised and was told that when our waitress came over to take our orders she didn't put the order in? However, we informed him that we never had a waitress at all until our plates were cleared and no body had bothered to come and take our orders we had to serve ourselves for both food and drink. Safe to say, we won't be going back to this restraurant. The black mould all over the curtains and windowsils at our table, along with the massive hole in the cieling and cracks along the wall just shows the level of detail and cleanliness too. The table next to us was also dirty when we arrived and there were clean cutlery just placed on the chairs. We eventually watched the waitress clear the table, then take clean cutlery off a dirty chair and place it on the table to eat. Maybe I was trained differently or expect a certain level of hygiene, but placing cutlery on a chair that has had people sitting on it and children standing on it, and then place that on the table for people to eat off is certainly not how I was taught to set/wait tables. Really dissapointed compared to other tobys/restraunts we have visited.

Really friendly staff and although it was very busy (Easter Sunday) service was slick and fab. Hannah was my waitress, who was very friendly, personable and chatty 🙂

The carvers today at 12pm were fantastic and so organised. The 2 men were brilliant and worked so well together. Our server Layoni (apologies for the spelling) was fantastic and so helpful, I would definitely recommend this carvery to everyone. Brilliant service, lovely food and very clean. Overall spot on so well done and thank you 🙏🏼

Went Sunday afternoon to find out they had run out of gammon and lamb so went somewhere else, tbh it was busy.

Check no 25 So went in Tobys today for lunch, to my horror when going for my carvery I could not believe that the chef served me small squashed hard Yorkshire puddings they looked like there where the left overs bottom of the batch. As I sat with a friend who thought the same, I mentioned it to my waitress while showing her the Yorkshires tapping them on my plate. who just smiled! what on earth I thought to myself, she told me to let the manager know on the way out. The chef needs to be fully trained. As leaving the next table next to me had the fully big fresh Yorkshire puds. Waiting for your lame excuse.

Zach and Zainab have been absolutely amazing today. My mom hasn't been out since Christmas due to an accident and Zach was great

I've never been to a toby till today,our daughter treated us for our Anniversary It was amazing best I've ever had from a carvery ! We booked and I'm glad because it was so busy we had a pudding too apple and plum crumble gorgeous! And the staff were really good 👍

Lovely food and great service from zach who was training zainab at the same time. Both were lovely people and very welcoming. Zainab was picking up the training very well!

It gets busy best to book a table in advance online. You also get ye full menu. Very simple to do. Because of the food station it is very warm in there best not to wear a big jumper/top. (That's why It lost a star). It is a roast dinner with loads of choice. I have never seen anyone not pile their plate high. You can have refillable glass, good choice of soft and fizzy drinks. Lots of families, couples, young and old. Celebrations going on. Good value for money. The staff are friendly and always busy. Great to have the Toby in Walsall nothing beats having a roast dinner made for you any day of the week.

Fab food. Really miss this iconic fare now I live overseas.

Well what can I say we celebrated my mom's 90 birthday party Saturday 23 of us the service was fantastic we had one of the managers looking after us all he was a star tended to all our needs the food was amazing he even brought the cake out got everyone singing happy birthday and cut up the cake for us all I didn't have to do anything he made my mom's day a day to remember

I very loud school dinner with school kids no choice on menu other than carvery so if you want A carvery with loud kids book the Broadway

I’ve been here several times. But this was the first time without booking, long wait but understandable as it was heaving and the option of sitting in the bar area is available instead of waitress service. Food was ‘ok’ not bad but not great the carvery did look nice though which is what most people come for especially OAPs as there’s a midweek off for them I think. I’d come back but busy or not the food prep and serving needs to be improved.

We arrived and were shown to a table by a man who did sort out my allergies. We sat for ages waiting for someone to get us drinks, in the end we waited till we could get a passing waitress and ask. Then had to wait, we had started our carvery before they arrived. No one came to see if we needed any desserts, again we had to wait and ask to be served. Very poor customer service. Update on the Broadway Carvery Walsall. The four of us went again today and what a difference from the last time. Pleasant staff, one lady went out of her way to find us a table which would have more room for a wheelchair. A waitress came over straight away and took our drinks orders. The carvery itself was very good. The waitress checked that everything was ok. Would now recommend people to try it. Another update, really not happy, I booked a table for 4 to accommodate a wheelchair. When we arrived two people in front of us who hadn't booked were told if they wanted to wait in the bar area they would call them when one became available. Our turn came, and they hadn't got a table for us. We waited in the bar area no one came so we just walked out. Obviously they were double booking. I had trouble booking in the first place, I tried the app but neither time it went through. I had to book over the phone and a man took the booking. A complete shambles.

Absolutely terrible breakfast 😞 such a shame the lady brought the bacon out and it was absolutely cremated she was kind enough to say good morning though. But food was terrible my God cant remember the last time i paid so much for a terrible breakfast. Good luck

Having been to this Toby Carvery 3 times in the last 5 months, I've given a few reviews to the local Restaurants. Service is ok but the Staff try to put you in corners, even when it's empty. Food wise, you can't knock the tasty Roast they do and the Veg plus Gravy etc. Very clean restaurant, location is good and ideal for a family meal. Rach served us yesterday and was a real nice smiley lady! Food was spot on too, loved the Beef/Lamb and roast potatoes. My children said the Gamon was excellent too. Parking space is good too and I'm sure it's fine for disabled people too with wheelchairs. Did email the head office to say wasn't happy about being asked to sit near the Fire Exit, and had to insist I get seated elsewhere, but the reply was just an excuse to say busy period .....

Cane today 19. Had a lovely meal with great company. Always plenty to choose from and the meat is always so nice. The selection of vegetables were fresh and plenty to choose from . We meet our son and family in there which we have been doing for a log time but today was disappointing when you got kids fighting in the bar area so you can't let the grandkids walk about but the manager did ask them to stop but they started again when he walked away it's not nuance when you got young kids and the elderly in there

Very good quality food, with brilliant and welcoming service from the staff. Our server, Zach, was friendly and put us all at ease. Very enjoyable visit, would definitely recommend!

Our visit was for my hubby's birthday, we booked a table for 7pm when we walked in at 6.50pm we where meet with a large queue, once seen we where told to wait in the bar area due to not having our table ready! The lady was polite however once at the bar we ask for a latte to be told the machine wasn't working, the two bar staff where swearing and making rude gestures to each other. We where called to our table and the young lady who was looking after us was polite. We had two x the carvery and ordered a pigs in blankets side order. The chef was not very polite, bagging and slamming the vegetable containers down on the counter we had to wait for more vegetables to come out of the kitchen which left rather a queue after we had been served to our roast meats. The roast beef was awful and the Yorkshire puddings where like bullets the carrots and cauliflower cheese where uncooked and generally the whole meal was a waste of money. I have to say we will not be returning or recommending to friends and family

Definatley not as good as the one in Streetly or Shenstone. Pork was dry but gammon was delicious! Potato's looked half burned, stuffing was hard & dry. Mash & mac n cheese were wonderful. Server took ages to come back to us after we asked for the bill, wasn't even busy in there. Honestly a bit dissapointed and probably won't come back. Sorry.

I drove onto toby carvery car park in September, 1. 00 am in morning, to charge car. I am disabled 60 year old woman, I was scared because of the time at night, but desperately needed to charge car to get home. Parked into charging bay, charged car approx 20 minutes, then left. I have since then been issued with parking fine, because I didn't pay for parking to use ev charger, even though I used allocated charging bay, which do not have to pay for. Please be aware. Disgusting behaviour, being hounded now by euro car parks to pay £170 which I think is diabolical.

My wife and I went for the all you could eat breakfast. Great value for the price. The tea and coffee were top quality.

I took my mother and partner for a carvery last weekend. Everything went smoothly. The service by JANE was exceptional. The food was fantastic too. We all had a really good time there. Im returning soon!

Awful place way to packed and only 2 bar ataff serving. There was a customer complaining that she had been over charged for her food and both bar staff were dealing with it! I asked if anybody else was serving and got a stroppy response from what looked like a manager as he wasn't in uniform. After waiting to be served for 15 minutes we walked out. Have walked out of here before when they tried to put us on a table that was sandwiched in between 2 other tables and had no privacy from the other diners. Tried the Broadway again today and a other shoddy experience. Avoid this place it's not good!

Been going in here for a meal for years and still as good as the first time I went in here for a meal.

Food tasted lovely. Unfortunately it was barely luke warn so really let it down sadly. We enjoyed the taste but was really let down by temperature.

The food was great would 100% recommend the place to others and my server/waitress Kiera was an absolute darling always happy to help those around her did a great job. Would love to come again

Toby Carvery in Walsall ! I am very disappointed with the table we have that located next to the toilet ,peaple in and out the toilet passing to our table,totally disturbing with our having a meal.It is totally unhygienic.It is my partner birthday meal too that ruined. The server Caitlin was very helpful and excellent service she given us! I hope you can take this table away from toilet as it’s disgusting.

Lovely food and great staff, unfortunately it was absolutely freezing inside and despite trying different tables the whole place was just very cold. Noticed a lot of other people eating while wearing their jackets and coats too. Shame as it ruined what would have been a great meal, don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately

Very disappointed with Toby from this location. We normally love Toby Carvery. I order 2 Tobys and they offered Sticky toffee pudding for free ( but is NOT...because they DONT send it to you! )And the slices of meat it was something very tiny, and small. I don't know how the service is for eat in but for delivery DONT try... you will pay for vegetables!🥴 I have pictures but it's not possible to submit 😕

Right by the arboretum. Food was great every time we came here. Sausage skin was a bit tough, but definately edible and still good. Tables and seats are clean, cutlery is (usually) clean, though obvious that they use dishwashers that dont always properly clean it. The plates are also clean, but can sometimes have stains from the dishwasher not properly washing it. Theres also tea and coffee available (paying for the mug) which you can help yourself to. (you need to make the drink yourself; no coffee machine) Also a soft drinks machine available (paid glass). You can help yourself to it. Overall great experience and definately coming back.

Food very hot and enough to choose from. Servers both at carvery deck and at tables were friendly and smiling - they actually looked like they enjoyed their jobs! Which made our experience better. Improvements are very little - more meat on carvery as only getting 2 slices isn't enough, keep ontop of the gravy as it runs out quickly. But to be honest everything was great

Decent enough pub, not overly busy and service was decent. Had to walk through a group of smokers and papers before entering the pub which was a bit grim. Lamb wasn't great, but the other meats were decent. Not amazing and not bad.

It's a really brilliant pub. Lovely atmosphere and great service! I would highly recommend this pub. The only setback is that there isn't an indoor dog friendly area. Maybe the small room and area next to this room, away from the carvery, could be a place for our four-legged friends during the colder months.

The customer service made this visit very enjoyable. From the people at the front desk to the servers & the carvers. The food was well cooked, hot & plentiful despite how busy the place was. The staff were friendly & all smiling even though the places was completely packed with not one empty table in the restaurant or the bar.

Massively undercooked veg ,carrots,cauliflower rock hard. could have settled for the meet being hit and miss with a carvery but veg ? how do you get that wrong. Barely any gravy to poor over the dry smash and spuds. also got mac n cheese for the kids which was just a portion of pasta with no flavour at all let alone any signs of cheese. dissapointed. won't order again. delivery was spot on though 😂
