Food not bad, in fact as good as any hotel fare I’ve experienced recently but restaurant void of atmosphere. Better than alternative hotel offerings in Wolverhampton City Centre so will probably stay again but wouldn’t come here just for the food.

Where can I start absolutely disgusting seen more food on a child's plate not as advertised at all . Groupon gift showed lots of lovely cakes ,scones ,sandwiches we had 4 finger sandwiches no choice just cheap ham and mild crap cheese ,no scones just dry carrot cake and a few small additional cakes felt like a starter . Complained the staff were nice and even agree was not good in the end the manager named Deano came over and said he agreed we had been let down offered other food or full refund we opted for full refund still not received . I rang to be told Deano as left so to email the manager I have several times but just been ignored . Awfull customer service had money but don't care Overpriced no atmosphere false advertising save your money go to weatherspoons Better value for money . Disgracefull no response no refund . Looks good from outside crap inside .

We had a lovely lunch with the banquet table laid out. All the food was piping hot beautifully clean plates and cutlery, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the venue and the grounds are stunning. Looking forward to making another booking and coming back soon.

We are a group of 6 friends enjoying a spa day at the hotel. Somewhat disappointed to find out we had to leave the spa and walk round to the hotel restaurant for lunch. The Orangery is a bright room overlooking the gardens but the room itself is quite shabby and spartan. A very helpful gentleman made up a table for the 6 of us. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful taking the food and drink orders. We got extra water that we asked for too. A second waitress came out to help bring out the food order. I have an intense dislike of wooden boards to serve food on and I asked her for a plate. She was obviously not very pleased but did bring one for me. I had a tuna and red onion sandwich on bloomer bread. The menu clearly states it's served with crisps and coleslaw. Mine (and the other lady who ordered a cold sandwich) had crisps and salad. I asked why I didn't have coleslaw and this second waitress sighed heavily and said it doesn't come with your meal. I pointed out the menu said it does. So she went off and bought me a bowl of coleslaw. The other lady was not asked if she wanted any. The 4 people that had the hot food were very pleased with what the were served, however the cold sandwiches were poor. I think the bloomer bread may have been frozen and defrosted for our lunch as it was hard on the outside and very cold as if it had been quickly defrosted. The attitude of the second waitress put me off complaining directly. The restaurant wasn't busy and with 3 staff there were enough people to serve. But the little things can make a big difference to an experience. The spa was lovely and we'd all return again any chance we get. But I'd definitely avoid the Orangery in future unless I wanted hit food. A shame as an otherwise lovely day and great place.

I purchased the afternoon tea on Groupon as a present for my friends birthday. On arrival, there wasn’t a table ready for us so we had to stand whilst they cleared a table of cups in front of us and found some chairs for the table. The bars under the table were at knee height so you couldn’t sit comfortably as your legs had to be to one side. We were then asked what we wanted to drink which we surprisingly asked for tea!! We asked what were on the sandwiches, the waitress had no idea, after 10 mins she came back to us and gave a list of the sandwiches, which once we received our tea tray were all incorrect. We then waited and waited and waited whilst tables after us were being served but hadn’t received anything. The the waitress came back to our table and asked if we were having the afternoon tea...she was the one that seated us! Then after 45 mins we received our afternoon tea tray. The cakes and sandwiches were mediocre. On a whole a terrible service and I will not be going back there!! I would not recommend!!

We brought a Groupon voucher for 4, this has been the best one to date. Great selection of sandwiches and cakes with unlimited tea, they also offered the children pop instead. The service was excellent and the restaurant very bright and clean. Would recommend and will be visiting again. Thank you

Faultless, a delicious array of sandwiches, cakes, scones etc, all beautifully fresh washed down with piping hot tea. The staff were pleasant, professional and helpful, we'll most certainly be back. Well done and thank you for a super enjoyable Afternoon Tea.

I have dined in here few times now and the food is always top notch. You can sit in the orangery looking out into the well kept gardens and relax with a few drinks from the bar after a hard day at the office

Came here for afternoon tea with some family. I wouldn’t rave about the place. Needing a good decor done! Seats next to bar tatty and ripped (photos attached) paint work chipped. The afternoon tea cake tier in the pictures above look nothing like you get. They were very average. - sandwiches: tuna and lettuce, cheese and picks, ham and mustard. And some cakes and also scones - which were more like shortbread - hard and crunchy. And a little note to say make sure you go in the right door (Black one) signs aren’t exactly helpful (something maybe put on the actual door would help). After all the above what made me give it an ‘average vote’ is because of (I think) who is the head of the waitresses (dark hair and glasses) was lovely and friendly and made the experience much better.

The food here is a real surprise as it is the hotel restaurant. The presentation is superb and the taste was excellent. I would like to see the staff training to develop the staff to be on a par with the food but I would recommend you try this. It's a shame the hotel lets the food down.

Had a great Sunday lunch for 4 of us at the Hollybush last Sunday. Unfortunately it went downhill from there.. Asked for a tab on arrival and was asked to swipe my card- which is fine- no problem with
