We recently stayed at The Riverside as we were attending a wedding reception at Branston Golf & Country Club. The pub is a hidden gem - accessed through a housing estate and located adjacent to the River Trent. A stylish blend of interior decoration in the older building, continued throughout, including the hotel accommodation. We enjoyed drinks and then an afternoon meal. Both being vegetarian, there was a good choice on the menu, with the food well-presented and very tasty. The staff were all friendly and professional, with our server, Rebecca, doing a fine job. Breakfast the following morning was adequate - I suspect the vegetarian sausages had been cooked and then kept warm for too long, plus the poached eggs were hard. I would suggest not having to make your tea at the station where the pastries and cereals were - it creates a queue for those waiting to brew-up. However, these are small points and we would be very happy to visit again when we are in the Branston area. Thank you for hosting us.

Chloe was particularly helpful and checked with the kitchen for some dietary requirements. She was so friendly and really added to that experience.

We were greeted with a friendly staff on arriving at the restaurant. Service was quick We were served by Chloe and Rowan. So professional. Food was very good quality. Definitely returning.

We were very pleased with the service ASH gave us, he came over as a caring thoughtful helpful person. I hope the next time we use the Riverside, that Ash will be working during that time, and that management realise what a asset he is. The added enjoyment for the evening was that Aston Villa won there game.

We celebrated our Wedding there on 9th April, 2024. This was arranged a week before due to heartbreaking circumstances. Wow just Wow. Adam (the manager) was amazing with us. He helped us to decide on the food before and sat with us to go through the day and what would happen. On the day it was amazing. The food was delicious and we couldn’t ask for anything more. The service was fantastic. The staff and Adam just made our day even more perfect. I don’t think there are any words that are good enough to sum up just how amazing Adam and his team are. All the guests commented on The Riverside and how lovely the venue is. Also on the food and service they provided was second to none. This venue and the staff are amazing. Visited for the new Sunday lunch menu, the food was very tasty, one complaint is it said half a roast chicken which both myself and my mum had, it was a leg and wing no breast which you would expect with hair a roast chicken, and was mostly bone and skin not a lot of chicken and the chicken was dry, a shame as it ruined the dinner having to pick scrappy bits of chicken off bones, we had to ask for a side plate to put all the bones on.

We arrived on new menu day 😂 Holly served us and what a delight she was, on first perusal of the menu it is at the top end of price range for this type of establishment. The food arrived and looked a little sparse on the meat front. As I ate my meal though it was so fantastic that this dissipated and it was actually just the right size! The quality of each item was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, Sunday duo roast and butternut squash roast. Superb well done keep it up 👍🏻

Once upon a time I was served by a bar tender called Ashley! Ashley went above and beyond and was extremely impressive with his service. He made me an off the menu drink. Served me amazing food. And to finish it off an amazing dessert.. I cannot fault any of it. Absolutely top notch. 10 outta 10 will be back again!

In the bar area the smell of wet dog was disgusting. It was a wet day and dogs kept arriving with their owners, shaking their coats, all over people sitting down eating. What a super time my wife and I had at The Riverside👌. We only stayed one night but wish it had been longer. The location along side the river made it so picturesque. The facilities in our room were great, the bed..so comfy, the shower..fantastic! Tea and coffee, and toiletries all available. We dined in the restaurant, again nothing but praise, yes it was pub food, but bloody good pub food! And the staff especially Liberty were amazing👍.
