Wow! Such a beautiful pub in an idyllic setting. My husband and I had the delicious Pate to start followed by roast beef which was second to none. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We enjoy our Sunday roasts and this is hands down the winner in our opinion. Well done and thank you to all the staff 👏

This place looks stunning and is very quirky inside with lots of steps and low beams. Not recommended for children or maybe people with mobility issues, but they do advise this on the gate. Had a strange experience as most of the menu was not available which meant we ended up with couple of sandwiches & chips, which were nice. Maybe as they were closing for a couple of days, they wanted to not waste anything, which is fair enough (as it was BH after New Year). The food I saw being delivered to other tables looked really nice, and everyone seemed to enjoying it, so that's a good sign. We will definitely return on another occasion as its definitely a unique place, and we'd like to give it a fair crack. I think some reviews have unfairly commented on the demeanour of a member of staff here. My opinion was that I thought everyone was polite and friendly. All i'll say is we all have bad days occasionally, and you never know what someone has going on in their lives, so we should always take pause before commenting on a public forum.

Had a family re-union yesterday. I initially thought it was a long way to go but it was well worth the trip. The building has been beautifully restored and is a picture. I had read previous reviews and was sceptical what the food would be like. Anyway it was delicious 2 of us had the fish good portions, The rest had roast beef this included child’s portion again no complaints . We ordered extra veg including cauliflower cheese and that was perfect. All had puddings again really good. The staff were helpful and efficient I don’t remember that we waited a long time to be served. All in all I recommend this pub good food good value.

We went there for my wife's birthday as it had been recommended by neighbours. We finally arrived after a Post Code lottery trying to find the place so we were a little late. We ordered the drinks and were shown to our table. We could hardly read the menu due to very low lighting and a candle but we ordered and the wait was reasonable. The food had the look of home made but was enjoyable. We shared the room with some bats - yes bats so be aware! If we go there again it will be in daylight.....

Visited on a warm afternoon, having booked a table for Sunday lunch. A beautiful location & charming old cider house - but I'm afraid, for us, that's where the charm stopped. We went into the bar to order our Sunday lunch, where an older woman barked at my Mother that we needed to have booked to have a roast dinner - we calmly explained that we had! Perhaps a smile next time! Next the roast chicken we ordered arrived in good time, thank you the very polite waiter & waitress. We were both astonished to find that the small dish of vegetables offered was for us to share - 4 carrot batons - 2 each; 2 brocoli florets - 1 each; small slices of parsnip - prob 4 each; & red cabbage- prob desert spoon each. Needless to say we ordered another portion of veg, beware, this costs £3.50! By the time the extra veg came, my chicken was cold. Anyway, we were hungry after our walk, so ate the lot. Unfortunately this experience has tainted our experience of this lovely place & would not go back & eat there. 2 x roast chicken, 1 wine, 1 pint cider & vegan pud (oh & of course the extra portion of veg) cost just over £50. Will go back to our favourite place of The Wheatsheaf at Fromes Hill for our next Sunday lunch out.

Beautiful old building in a stunning location but beyond first impressions, pretty disappointing. Drinks served by an unsmiling older woman who seems to struggle with customer service. Ordered a G&T to find they only stock Schweppes tonic- no other options at all. Young waiting staff were a pleasant contrast- friendly, helpful and eager to help. Food however was poor. Vegetarian burger resembled something out of an Iceland freezer cabinet- watery mashed potato with a few peas and carrots, coated in orange breadcrumbs. Vegan pie was like chip shop curry in a pastry case. As we were both hungry, we ate up and left without complaining. There didn’t really seem to be any point as the kitchen must surely already be aware of the poor quality food it’s sending out. £38 for a G&T, half pint and two obviously frozen main courses with chips. Left feeling robbed.

According to the reviews this is a safe place to eat and we might very well come back here.

Our Sat Nav said turn left so we did. We went down this driveway thinking are we in the right place. We carried on, and there it was at the end of the driveway, a perfectly formed ale house (or to be correct Cider House). We parked and walked up towards the buz that was coming from the greenery In front of us. We opened the gate walked up the pathway to have revealed before us a GEM. WE were booked in for Sunday lunch, so ordered a drink (If I’m honest the ROSE selection is below par) however the hospitality was perfect. We ordered Olives to share as a starter, and they came but there was no side plate of knife to spread the butter, we had to ask for them. We finished and Sunday lunch came, and we were not disappointed. There was extra gravy, such a delightful change…. I had the pork, which was tasty and juicy, my partner had the beef, which was cooked to her liking. Part of the joy of the meal for me were the stars know as vegetables. They were fresh, not over cooked and served in a rustic and appetising manner, could have eaten another bowel of them. Overall the Sunday lunch was very very nice. If I had to moan about one thing it would be the toilet. Yes toilet, there is only one for the ladies and there was always a queue. Moan over, the whole experience was a good one. Don’t be put off by the little isims that aren’t perfect. The countryside, Fresh air, food and scenery as well as the hospital are worth a visit. Bon appetite..

Had a lunch here with four adults and two children in our group. Service was pleasant with two rounds of drinks and sandwiches for the adults and two children’s meals. The bill for this came to a little over £94 which we felt was excessive given what we ordered. We asked that it be double checked and the total was confirmed. Given the four adults had a round of sandwiches each we would not return at these prices. Much better value in food and drinks can be found nearby in a number of pubs etc!

We really didn't know where to eat, as so many 'pubs' offered food but this quaint ,slightly off the beaten track, pub took top spot. I'm so glad we went there. The 17c.old cider house has been completely rebuilt by the owner, using both old and new building materials & the pub now offers a cosy warm atmosphere for a meal out. The owner & her staff are friendly & welcoming. My only negative comment was that our meal seemed to take a fairly long time from ordering it to receiving it and there didn't seem to be too many people eating when we visited. However, that said, the meal was delicious, served well presented and HOT! Infact ,neither of us could manage a desert. The prices were reasonable & the menu catered for all tastes.I would certainly go there again & would recommend to try.

Came here with friends for a light lunch. 3 of us ordered beef sandwiches only to be told several minutes after order taken that there was only 1 portion of beef left so I opted for prawns in a sauce on Gluten free bread. When it came it was made with 2 very dry hard crusts with the smallest prawns you have ever seen on the inside and the watery sauce having made the inside of the crust soggy. I asked for replacement bread but told none left. I was asked if I wanted something else but as the sandwiches had taken so long to come didn't want to wait. I ate the miniature prawns with the tiny handful of salad and a few luke warm chips. When asked by the waitress if everything was ok when she cleared the plates her reaction to my displeasure was to tut and raise her eyes skyward and there was certainly no apology. The cost of the sandwich £8,50!!! was deleted from the bill but I left hungry and wondered how on earth anyone could serve that dish to a paying customer.

Having been told about this pub and its views we thought we'd give it a try. However as the weather was not particularly nice we had to go inside. As advised it is very low beams and log fires but even so sat by the fire we had to leave our coats on. It was cold but smoky. Its obviously a great place for dog walkers as they are welcomed. The lady behind the bar was lovely and specifically wrote down no tomatoes on our child's pasta. Yet when it arrived it was pasta in a tomato sauce. So we returned it and had it taken off the bill rather than wait again, our child had some of our chips. The hot pork sandwiches turned out to be cold pork and very fatty with cold apple sauce and soggy stuffing. The salad was a piece of iceberg lettuce a slice of tomato and 2 red onion slices. Not at all what you'd expect for the price. The saving grace were the chips and bread. But a lot to pay for that. No one came over to check if everything was alright. Having sent back the pasta we didn't think we should complain about anything else. I appreciate it may be a small kitchen but keeping food warm should be a given. I'm sure it would be lovely sat outside on a summers day with a cold pint and a packet of crisps but after this experience we wont be ordering hot food again.

Phoned Sunday am for a 2.00pm booking. No problem. Haven't been here for a while and they have changed things around for the better. Had A beautiful warm welcome from 'the daughter' so sorry don't know your name. You took us to our table which was changed as 'their might be a draft from the door' and put us by the log fire. So so cosy. Service excellent, food excellent, all excellent. Sorry guys but nothing to suggest to improve it. You are now my favourite place for Sunday lunch and I am hoping my hubby will bring me back often.

After reading some previous reviews me and my partner were very sceptical about visiting, we are not from the local area and needed a place to get an evening meal... Our formed opinions changed massively when we entered this hidden gem.

Popped in here for an early evening meal one Friday eve. Extension built into the original bar/restaurant area, very nice. Open wood burning fire, new bar/waiting area, very cosy. Had lasagne all home made and fish and chips all freshly cooked, lovely. Would recommend a visit.

Lovely place to visit, cannot fault the food nor the staff. This used to be one of our favourite places to go but the last several times we have been, it has been far too cold to relax and have a good time here. This has been happening over several months now and I know it’s winter and to expect cold... but surely the pub would want to make itself more cosy at this time of year? It’s not fun having to dine with coats and scarfs on

Visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had asked for the large table near the fire. On arrival we were told another party had that particular table - not withstanding we had contacted to reserve. The interior of the restaurant away from the fire was literally ‘freezing’. Food was OK, but due to the room temperature, was soon cold. We did not stay as long as we initially intended and left early for home … to get warm! Maybe we’ll go back during the summer … but probably not!

We went last night and have never been so cold! We all sat all evening in our coats and scarves. The same for people at other tables, one lady was even eating in wooly gloves. There was no heating in the room we were in yet the bar had a huge heater in it for the staff! The drafts were terrible from the doors and there was an open hatch to the loft which did not help either. The blond lady who served us was so miserable I am surprised we did not all turn to stone. A horrible evening. We will never return. Food either over seasoned or not seasoned at all so not even that was compensation!

Fortunately I rarely experience restaurants/pubs that justify only 2*, this is, however, one that does.

Average food and hopeless service. We arrived for lunch at 1.45 and were shown to a table upstairs. Very little attention from staff who were busy elsewhere. Our main course didn't arrive until after 3.15. My scampi and chips was just a small portion of packet scampi and frozen chips. Maybe a pleasant location in summer, but not a good experience today.

The 200 plus acres of Bringsty Common in Herefordshire are beautiful. Rolling countryside with far reaching views towards the Malvern hills and dotted with picture postcard cottages. It’s the perfect place to let your dogs and your children do what they do best - run about like loonies and splash in the muddiest puddles they can find.

Found this place by chance loved the building, the location and the lovely warm welcome by the staff. The place oozes charm and the logfire made it so welcoming. It’s down a long track but in the summer the views must be amazing. We had really lovely wholesome food. We loved everything about this place.

We stayed nearby and did a recommended long walk to the pub. It was definitely worth it once we arrived, the setting is beautiful - particularly the garden. We were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly, our food came quickly and was really tasty. When we came to leave the owner called some taxis for us as our phones had no signal, when none of them were able to pick us up she very kindly gave us a lift home. Amazing customer service! Thank you, we’ll be back if we are ever in the area again.

Went for Sunday lunch with the family to celebrate my son's 30th birthday, fantastic place, great setting, good food and very good service. My only criticism would be the gents loos; they let the place down badly!

As you will see from the images, this thatched pub is very pretty. A stone throw from Brockhampton Estate National Trust, we headed here for a pub lunch. The inside seems a bit short on space, however the outside pub garden has lots of space, perfect for dog walkers. Plenty of good beer on tap, the food service was quick. Despite a relatively small portion, the food was fresh and tasty. Would recommend for dropping in for food.

It was our first visit to the pub yesterday. Nice atmosphere, we were enjoying our experience until the table next to us began to examine a piece of lettuce on the table which turned out to have a maggot on it.

If you've ever travelled over Brockhampton, towards Bromyard you'd be forgiven to even know this quaint little country pub existed. It is in a fabulous setting, down a dip hidden from the road. It's small charm and delicious tasty food is a must to try. So when you see the sign, take the short dip over the bracken to sample local brews and tasty lunch. Not entirely suitable for wheelchairs but if determined and gave a bit of assistance they'll be really accomodating.
