The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Awful selection of real ales.... it's a Green King pub but hasn't served Abbot Ale since 1799...tonight with a huge Rugby Union match, they even run out of Green King IPA... staff don't care, take it or leave it policy. Avoid like the plague....

I don't write many reviews, but I just want to say what a great pub & friendly staff - we were there for a 25th birthday party on a very busy Saturday night with a superb live band - our children are all now grown up mid 20's but have various special needs. It was really nice to to see how they could just enjoy a good night out and also the friendliness vibe overall of other people in there. Thank you for a good night & it's a really impressive old building too with loads of character.

Popped in on a random Tuesday lunchtime the place was empty but that didn't put us off the service was very good, food excellent selection of drinks was spot on and the main reason we went is how dog friendly they are so we could take our little pooch with us. Would definitely visit again

My wife and myself popped into the Sneyd Arms for a spot of lunch quite randomly, having not been in there for over 6 years, we were greeted by Helen, and, duly shown to our table, the pub was quite empty in the lounge, it has a very big lounge area. There was a fire lit in the front, it created a great welcoming ambiance, and the smell of the fire made the whole place feel very cosy. Our food was just perfect, very rustic in appearance, just how we like it, none of this pre formed, pre packed stuff. I chose the root veg pie and the wife had steak and ale pie, both absolutely beautiful, portions were perfect also. The bitter beer was spot on, nice temperature and well kept, wifey chose a Pinot, also spot on. We highly recommend this establishment, and we will return more often. Thank You... 5 Star experience.

We came to The Three Tuns for our final drinks before heading home and we really enjoyed it. The rock and alternative music was great and everyone was really friendly.

I'm really glad to say the Lion is back, a great selection of beers and lagers including real ales, they also have Heineken zero on draught if you're looking for the alcohol free alternative. The food is excellent, freshly cooked with no complaints from our party. The staff were very friendly and polite and took everything in their stride.

Expensive pub prices for very basic freezer food. No atmosphere. No steaks available they had run out. Wouldn’t recommend. Customer service not the best. Menu was covered in food and sticky.

Im absolutely disgusted at this my chips where burnt i called to resolves this issue they had ago at me and put the phone down and surprisingly it was stone cold never ordering again

Had a great time a couple weeks back at the Holly Bush. The bar staff where lush amd chatty had lots of space for me and my group of friends to hang out. Played darts , played bord games and had a great beer choice.

My mother in law, Valerie Foster, had a lovely time at a friend’s anniversary celebration recently. She said that the service was brilliant and the food perfect . Hannah and her team did them all proud, so a “big thank you” She wouid thoroughly recommend The Royal Oak in Gnosall to friends and family.

Great pub, good people, good food. Everyday normal pub w normal people and a real local. The food is excellwnt w greay care taken. Friendly and honest staff and clientele.

Had a lovely family meal tonight, a huge thank you to Kelsey who looked after us all night! I definitely would recommend the pizza!

We went for afternoon today and the food was really good. However the main thing that stood out for us was the service we received by Sarah. There was absolutely nothing we could fault. She made us feel welcome from the moment she greeted us. Nothing was too much trouble, she consistently checked in on us to make sure there was nothing else we needed. We all left feeling well looked after. Thank you xx
