The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Today, the fish was very hard and dry, like it was leftovers from earlier. Chips were fresh. 1st time using takeaway, if I went to the chippie myself I wouldn't of had that piece of fish. So not sure about takeaway food now.

We had the 2 for £14 fish and chips today. Service and food were excellent. What a good deal. I would highly recommend a visit to this historic pub.

I visited Sneyd Arms a couple of weeks back when myself and my wife visited my son at University. Lovely and cosy pub. Lovely service from Katie & Stacey. Highly recommend.

Good beer. No food available apart from good selection of cobs and cold snacks which were of great quality and value.

Decent food, scampi was grand, pie was alright. Lovely barman, very accomodating. Nice garden, the pub not the barman.

I only popped in here for a pint during a bike ride from Wychnor where I had moored my canal boat so I can't comment on the food. What I can say is that they have an excellent range of keg beers and real ales, there's a lovely welcoming and warm atmosphere from other customers and the staff are efficient. This is in sharp contrast to one of the other village pubs I know where strangers are not made particularly welcome and there's a very limited range of beers. Award yourself 10 points if you can nane the culprit!

Seems to be going down hill the last few visits here looking for somewhere else? Definatley not the chippy it used to be.👎

I used to love the food here but today not happy lasagne was over cooked chips was cold and the garlic bread cold ... Waiting at the bar was a wait too. Looks like no staff very sad today maybe different cook on a Tuesday as I love eating here usually

Two stars is generous. Went on a Friday evening and disappointed to say the variety of food has massively gone down, best thing there was the dosa- other than this nothing else was cooked at a live station/fresh. Food was not replenished or topped up when it was running low, the same food was left sitting out from 3 hours earlier when we arrived. Was also told beer did not taste good.

Really accommodating for a big group last minute

The overall the garden centre is good but the food is overpriced and of poor quality... my jacket potato was dried out and black inside.. both of which the lady serving would have seen but served it anyway.
