The Thatched Tavern in Wychavon

The ‘thatch’ is our local, can we just cannot fault the place. Friday my mam came to visit as it was her birthday, we sat in the restaurant, the food was lovely, tasty and plentiful. Atmosphere was great. Normally we would sit and eat in the bar as it’s just the two of us and our dog, mam was our VIP so needed the treatment. Absolutely brilliant meal. Fully recommend a visit.

We ate in the bar since we had or dog. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Son's steak was excellent, the burgers were okay, two of us had the chicken and leek pie. One was wonderful and the other was almost devoid of content! The gravy etc was tasty. Overall would visit again.

This is an amazing little pub, lovely interior, friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced. We went for lunch with friends, to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary. Every aspect of the meal was excellent, staff were attentive and welcoming. This pub is better than any other in the Evesham area for high quality food. We have been many times now and have always had excellent food and service.

Absolutely fabulous meal. Had pork belly bites and halloumi fries for starters both delicious then Italian burger and dirty fries which we shared. Excellent meal and service.

Wonderful hidden gem in Honeyborne. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the Caesar salad and a pizza and both were incredibly tasty and fresh. The portion sizes were good and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Been 3 times now for a meal with the family. Nice to visit Evesham or Bidford then take a nice drive to the Thatched Tavern in Honeybourne. Everyone has been happy with the food and service, and we really like the cosy atmosphere. The food is very good quality, it's a cut above most decent pub food..

What a gem of a place - and the chef really knows how to cook ! This is your quintessentially pretty thatched village pub. The staff are warm and friendly, and the food is divine! There is an amazing choice on the menu. We shared our two starters, as they were both so good ! The cherry tomatoes on bruschetta were unctuous, mouthwatering and bursting with flavour . The Arancini were delicious with layers of flavour, starting with sweetness from the goats cheese and chilli jam followed by a spicy kick from the chilli dip. My main of sea bass with tomatoes and sautéed potatoes was absolutely morish. My husband loved his spicy burger. All portions were generous , beautifully cooked and served with a smile. So good to come across a place without the usual boring predictable menu - they really do know how to cook here, and clearly take pride in their food. We shall be back - not least because I want to work my way through the whole delicious sounding menu ! Great to find such a lovely place open on a Monday too (our day off).

Thank you to the team at the Thatch, we visited on Saturday evening, a group of 6 adults and 2 children. We all had different dishes and each one was delicious. One of our party has strict dietary requirements and the staff and chef could not do enough for us. We spoke to Amy the manager the week before and she ensured the whole staff team knew what the requirement was and checked everything with us when ordering.

This was a great find. The food was excellent and the service was so friendly and welcoming. The staff were great with the children, too. We wish we lived closer!

Excellent food, we all had different dishes, I had the “plain” burger, lovely fries were lovely, rosemary additiin was superb, , other dishes were dirty fries with hoisin duck and chicken breast. Clean plates all round , too stuffed for deserts, which if they were anything like the dinner was a shame as we have missed out. Highly recommend, but I don’t want to as we want a seat next time we drop in 😀 best meal out in a long time.

This place we visit regularly and have enjoyed lovely evening meals. The staff are very attentive and super friendly, however on our last visit, the DIRTY PIZZA was absolutely awful. Just soaked in sauce, which made the pizza very soggy. I was so much looking forward to this pizza as I have had it before and enjoyed it so much, but it was utterly horrible on this particular night. I know they came round to ask if everything is ok, but I am not one to complain. It won't deter us visiting again though.

We travelled from West London to dine here with friends who live locally and we are very glad that we did. The restaurant had a lovely ambience and albeit midweek it was being well used which is always a good sign. We sat in what is called the library. The staff were very friendly and Amy our waiter was excellent. The real star of the show however was the food which was ticketyboo with a capital T. Long way for lunch but a lovely place and if we were in the area again we would no hesitation in visiting again.

This traditional-looking pub is within easy reach of Evesham, has good parking and pleasant atmosphere inside. There was a nice selection of dishes, including small plates if we wanted, and we enjoyed all that we chose. The distinguishing feature was the welcome we received and the care taken with our orders, including helpful wine-ordering suggestions and descriptions of particular dishes when asked.

Lovely atmosphere and great Sunday Lunch. We met as a family for a birthday celebration and none of us had been here before. Read previous reviews which seemed good so booked. Definitely didn’t disappoint and the food was traditional with great gravy and roast potatoes to die for. Two of the party had roast topside of beef and said it was the best he’d had out in a restaurant setting. We had a dog with us and just be aware, dogs can’t go into the main restaurant, only the bar area. We’d definitely recommend this pub, including the vegetarian option of roasted butternut and lentil Wellington. Delish. Friendly, welcoming, staff made the visit great.

Pretty pub situated in a lovely village. We had a lovely lunch in the beer garden with our dog. Service was friendly.

One of our favourite places to eat now. We go regularly and have been with our children and other family members. The staff are excellent and so is the food. We normally have pasta dishes and they are literally amazing. There is a lovely friendly, warm atmosphere and a nice garden area if its warm.

Excellent evening meal here at The Thatch. We booked relatively early so the restaurant was quiet, we were shown to a lovely table. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable and polite - I’d say they made this meal stand out from many others recently, they appeared to genuinely enjoy their job which isn’t always the case lately! Food was really tasty & served quickly, we had a pizza and a burger - The rosemary chips were delicious! Desserts again were lovely. Very reasonably priced food, a nice atmosphere despite it being quiet earlier on & excellent service - If we were local it would definitely be somewhere we return.

We were staying in the local area with friends. We managed to book in for Sunday lunch. The service was great and they were attentive to food allergies. Sunday lunch was very tasty and filling. Definitely worth a visit.

We walked here from Bretforton. It is a very attractive pub. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The menu has a wide range of options. We loved the Dirty Fries and Chicken Risotto. Leave room for a dessert as they are also superb.

We have been going to Thatched Tavern for three years now and every time it ever fails to impress us. So to the thatch as locals know it, we weren’t disappointed, the new licensees are putting a deal of effort into updating the pub and it shows, it’s much more bistro like than previously without being in any way pretentious, it’s comfy and pleasant. To the food, great calamari starter and 2 good burgers, service was good if a little slow, nice menu which we believe will expand with time, and is due to start Sunday lunch this weekend, so building it’s offering. Enjoyable overall and we will go again.
