If you want a delightful meal with excellent food at a very reasonable price then go along to Pios We have visited at lunchtime and also in the evening. The service is very friendly and personal. The setting is delightful with views overlooking the Abbey I had rump steak and the others had lasagne and also an omelette Great atmosphere and Pio himself comes to check you are happy with the food Definitely going back again

Came here for a family gathering prior to Xmas day. Menu up on the blackboard but when we ordered 4 chefs steak pie we were informed there were only two. So made a change to our order for a scampi and roast pork. Chefs steak pie was salty with half raw pastry, scampi was literally 9 pieces of scampi on a plate all by themselves. Lasagne was not very nice and most was left.

We just had a wonderful evening, celebrating Burn’s Night at Pio’s Restaurant in the White Horse Hotel in Pershore. Wonderful hospitality by Pio and his great staff. Festive music, great food and even a wee dram. We met interesting people and a good was had by all.

If I could review this restaurant as 0 stars I would. I rang up to book a table using the tastecard 2-4-1 offer that I pay a yearly fee for and the owner was incredibly rude. He told me that the restaurant was closed and he didn't elaborate on when it would be open again and then continued to say he would not honour the 2-4-1 discount, despite being listed on the tastecard app as a provider. When I queried this he proceeded to hang up on me mid sentence. Disgusting customer service. I am appalled he is still in business.

We had passed by the hotel many times, but not tried the restaurant, so we went for a midweek dinner with a friend The owner and waiter were very polite and explained the menu options fully, including the specials Two of us had the menu special carbonara. Very nice, but had a ridiculous amount of peppercorns. The other diner had the mozorella salad starter which she liked, including the dressing, which she never normally has . The Flambéd banana desert was delicious and well worth reserving space for trying.

We visited this restaurant on Wednesday 26 October at approximately 7PM and had prior booked as we were using a Tastecard. In line with the Tastecard offer, we ordered two starters, two main courses and two deserts which were offered on a 2-4-1 basis plus one garlic bread and one bottle of red wine to be paid for at full price. The wine we ordered was red, even though we wanted white, but they had run out of white - they literally had no white wine at all. When the bill arrived, 25% had already been deducted. I queried this and said the Tastecard offer was for 2-4-1 across all three courses and was advised by the waiter "Oh we're not doing that, its just 25% off". Again I queried it, showing the waiter the offer on the Tastecard web site via my mobile phone. The waiter then said "I'll check with Pio" (Pio being the owner). After another minute, the owner came rushing up and said "No, no, no, it is the same discount as Gourmet Society - I have already told them that is what I'm doing". He then added "Anyway, don't come here again, you're not welcome". His manner was quite aggressive manner which was a little intimidating. I again reiterated the Tastecard offer was advertised as 2-4-1 across all courses. The owner then responded "Do you think you will get food like that anywhere else and they give you that kind of discount - if I have to do that, I might as well close the place down". At this point his voice was becoming louder and he was shouting. I responded by saying this was an entirely different matter and that if he advertised and accepted a Tastecard booking he should abide by the terms of the offer and that I was not prepared to pay the bill unless it was for the correct amount. The owners response was "I think you are being very mean". He then gestured to the waiter and said "give them the discount", but turned back to me and said "but I have already told you, don't come back here, you're not welcome, find somewhere else". The waiter was at all times polite and the lady chef who came to see if we were happy with the food was lovely. The problem was the rude and aggressive owner Pio. If you are going to participate in a promotional offer that is promoted online and by a very large sticker in your restaurant window and accept a booking on that basis, don't become rude and aggressive when a customer expects you to abide by the terms of the offer!!

Yesterday my wife and l walked the bluebell wood of Pershore. The walk ended near the abbey., not too far from a little restaurant we use in the White Horse Hotel, Pio's. Walking upto the front door we noticed the restaurant seemed to be closed. Further enquiries revealed that the chef was not there having moved and neither was the waiter. However before we had time to leave Pio stepped up and offered to cook us a meal. While the menu options were limited due to the chef being away, we both had a memorably enjoyable meal on this occasion. Pio was resplendent in his chef's jacket and we could have imagined ourselves on the Amalfi coastline had things been only slightly different. I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and the chips here are great. My other half enjoyed the ploughman' as she is a cheese nut. Many thanks to Pio for stepping up to the mark on this occasion. Many would not have bothered.

Went to celebrate father in Laws birthday. Did not realise when booking it was Burns Night supper with limited menu. This was no problem as the waiter soon came up with a number of good options. Service was good food was good portion size generous. Pio then pulled back a couple of tables and some impromptu dancing took place. Lots people joined in really great night.

Lovely welcome from both the owner and locals in the bar when we popped in for a drink and a sandwich. The sandwich was amazing! Lovely roast beef on fresh thick bread, with a lovely salad side dressing. Great value at £2.75 too. We will return to try the restaurant, as they clearly know how to prepare and present food here!!!!

We found this restaurant using my Gourmet Society card, whilst on a canal boat holiday. The venue wasn't the traditional Italian restaurant we were expecting, it was reminiscent of Fawlty Towers with regard to outdated decor, family photos on display, dog walking gear hanging in the restaurant, and Manuel the waiter popping in now and then! We embraced the atmosphere, enjoying the 60s cd playing in the background. The waiter was extremely attentive, checking with the kitchen whether a dish could be altered for us etc. So, the best bit. The food was excellent. We haven't quite finished our fortnight away but so far this remains the best meal we've had all week. We had three courses, celebrating my husband's birthday, the chef included a candle in his dessert! I had steak with pate, we also had risotto, chicken in a wonderful sauce and the children cleared their plates too. Thank you to Pio and his team.

We sat looking at the grounds of Pershore Abby from our table, as petals from the apple trees swirled to the ground. A lovely setting, and a friendly staff and other guests made this a real treat.

My parents and I always enjoy our steaks at pios. His sauces are to die for, proper old fashioned Italian cooking and he always gets our steaks cooked perfectly. Although the service leaves something to be desired it keeps it very personal in the restaurant, something a lot of places are lacking nowadays.

The worst meal I have ever eaten, my stilton sauce was split, everyone else had roast, the potatoes were either frozen or yesterdays, no fluffy potato centre, just hard cold skins. The whole place needs a very good dust and scrub, especially the toilets they were disgusting.

We often go over to Poi's in Pershore for a meal, where it is always a pleasure to enjoy really good food, a friendly atmosphere, and always at a very high standard. The Hotel itself is a little old fashioned, but it all adds to the experience of going to Poi's. Poi, keep up the good work, and that lovely Italian food. Thank you. Duncan, from Malvern

We called in at 1pm today (Wed) for a quick lunch ... we had a 2pm appointment in a nearby village. We had delicious lasagne, and the most enormous gammon, both cooked to perfection. I tried my husband's chips - the best ever! Thanks to a brilliant chef. The eatery itself is very much town-centre old-fashioned place, totally un-modernised. The position opposite the Abbey is perfect!

We visited Pios last night for the first time. The welcome was very friendly, the restaurant is cosy and the food was fantastic. The portion sizes are very generous to the point that the staff kindly put my left overs in a box for me to take home! We will definately be visiting again.

Went there for lunch with my 2 boys (2 and 5), food arrived before they got dangerously bored and was very good and plentiful, we all polished our plates. The place is not what you would call children's friendly at a glance, but we were made welcome.
