Lovely pub with a warm atmosphere and a great host. The food was excellent as was the beer. We had the lamb pie and a pizza and salad. Also the best creme caramel ever. Can't fault the place or the food or the lovely owner. 10/10

Sunday lunch here is awesome. Make sure you book. Food is lovely and plentiful. Great veggie sunday lunch option (a must in our family). The price is on the higher side - but is still great value for money as you get huge portions, and the quality is top notch. Personally I'd prefer to pay more and get a perfect meal than pay budget and get rubbish.

Came for Sunday lunch today and it was incredible! ALL the trimmings- and then some! I can highly recommend the lamb shank- the meat was so tender and just fell off the bone. Lots of veg on the plate, but also extra veg to help yourself to on the table. Lovely homely environment and exceptional service. Thank you :)

Absolutely fab, huge portions, super friendly welcoming staff, great selection of beers . Took advantage of the marvellous Friday 2 4 1 fish & chip deal. The fish was massive, really creamy white fish, crispy batter and chunky real chips. Served lovely & hot with tartar sauce & mushy peas. Will be back as a regular Friday treat.

I visited here with my grandparents for a meal one Sunday. It was very quiet so we got it pick of where to sit which was nice. For food, I had the duck with sweet potato fries and mangetout. It was quite good but surprisingly, the sweet potato fries were the best part because of how crispy they were. Usually they tend to be quite soggy or they’re too crispy but these were the fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. My nan had the fajitas which came out sizzling and she really enjoyed them! My grandad ordered the thai prawn fishcakes but they had run out of them so he had the cheese and cod fishcakes instead. There seemed to be a running theme of not having certain things on the menu. We had desserts and multiple things were crossed out whilst others had ‘x1’ next to them which meant there was only one left of that particular item. I’m not sure why they didn’t have stuff available. Maybe because it was a Sunday they had run out of stuff for the week? It could have been a busy week for them perhaps but I thought running out of that much food is a little weird and annoying. I ended up having a pistachio creme brulee which was quite delicious. The unfortunate downside is that they didn’t put enough sugar on top in some places so when they torched the top, some of the dessert had a burnt taste. They tried to cover the burnt parts with two biscuits lol. It feels like a crime that they made such a nice creme brulee but burnt it and left the edges without sugar. Overall, it was nice pub grub especially as far as restaurants go for Bromsgrove but it wasn’t the best place I’ve ever been for food. No problems with the service or staff. It’s a decent little place for the summer as it has a nice garden and the location is pretty however, it’s not my first choice for a place to eat after what they did to do that poor creme brulee.

We have been visiting this pub for drinks and food for several years. Always excellent service, quality and company. The food is great, served fresh and in good time. Prices are very reasonable. Craig and his staff are friendly and hard working. In summer the hanging baskets and garden floral display are beautiful. A lot of work goes into maintaining the garden which adds to making this a pub well worth visiting.

One of our favourite restaurants in Worcestershire. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and we’ve never been able to fault the food. One of our party is vegan, and others had gluten/dairy allergies, and the Navigation staff were very accommodating. There was an entire vegan menu which wasn’t listed on the main menu, with a wide range of choice - would absolutely recommend!

We like reading terrible reviews because they often reveal more about the reviewers than the premises. After that we go to make our own minds up. Rule One of eating out is always judge a place by the state of the toilets before taking a table. Full marks to the Navigation in this category. If you're a real ale person expecting a traditional ale bar you may be disappointed as both hand-pulls were off and there are keg taps. So this is more restaurant than pub. A large birthday lunch was going on when we arrived on a Sunday, being served with no obvious pressure although the kitchen door was going non-stop. Smaller groups, mostly couples, were not neglected. The Sunday lunch menu offered the usual roasts including lamb shank, a cod and prawn fishcake and vegetarian options. We were pleased that our meals were piping hot on warm plates, portions were generous and well-presented and vegetables were not overdone. The staff were busy but attentive, good-humoured and obliging. We asked to see the weekday menu which is interesting and different from the Sunday roast. A pleasant and relaxing visit and we will come again.

Having been recommended to us we were looking forward to a good meal only to be disappointed. 2 out of our 3 starters were good with one (garlic mushrooms) only being lukewarm. My son had the children’s meal of sausage, mash, peas & gravy and had to wait 10 minutes for the gravy to be brought to us by which time he had finished half the meal. We asked for an extra sausage with the meal which we were told we would have to pay for which was fine. My husband had chicken fajitas which came without salsa because they had run out!!!!l the chicken was burnt and dry and outnumbered by onions massively! Having complained about my husbands meal the staff were very apologetic. When we asked for the bill we were told that as a gesture of good will they wouldn’t charge us for the extra sausage!! A nice pub with the potential to serve good food - maybe we just went in too close to closing time and ended up with the leftovers. Not sure we would return

I've tried a number of local eating establishments and this is the one by which I have set my bar (pun intended). I eat here regularly on Sundays with my parents, and it is consistently excellent quality food, a nice warm environment and mostly pretty good service (if a little relaxed). It's at the mid-high price bracket, but the food warrants it. I'm mostly disappointed when I compare other establishments to it, but sometimes they are booked up in advance and I have to visit elsewhere!

This is the first time we as a family have called into this amazing venue. What a wonderful surprise. From the moment we walked in Sam explained there was a table but food would be approx 30minutes wait but drinks would be available. The decor and table arrangement was set out really lovely. The drinks arrived and the order was duly taken. Hubby had the vegetable lasagne which we all tasted and agreed it was super tasty. My son and I opted for parsnip curry soup and bacon brie and cranberry sandwich with a side salad my daughter had the chicken sandwich both sandwich orders we had a portion of extra fat chips, everything was piping hot and all was equally delicious. Sam was the only waitress on this lunchtime and was running here there and everywhere not even writing the orders down but memorising them with great accuracy. She is truly a credit to this pub even had time to have a laugh and joke with us and others who were also enjoying a bite to eat. The prices prove keep them low and you’ll pack em in. We will certainly drop in again.

My wife and our friends visited the Navigation on Saturday after hearing good reports from our neighbours. We were not disappointed, the pub is situated in a semi rural area and has good off road parking. As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel that it has a looked after feel. It’s reasonably stylish and spacious. We were seated at a nice oval table overlooking the attractive back garden. Our waitress, Izzie was super efficient quickly taking our drinks order within minutes of sitting down. Izzie came back with our drinks minutes later and asked if we wanted to order. One of our party is vegetarian and asked Izzie many, many, many questions which Izzie answered truthfully and efficiently until eventually we ordered. All of our meals arrived promptly and were piping hot. The food is good, unpretentious pub classics with a few unusual veggie options but all excellent. Izzie was a delight and is a great ambassador for this establishment. As we were leaving Izzie was outside, cleaning and upending some very heavy looking garden furniture, we were all very impressed with our visit and will return.

Arrived and ordered drinks, about 10 minutes later we ordered food and waited nearly an hour for food to arrive. I ordered a steak medium well and got a steak well to ruined. The fries were cold and the rest was barely tried warm. As I was fairly hungry, i tried to eat the meal as the rest of my family were eating, but I could not manage more than about a third of the meal. I complained about the wait and was told that we had not waited nearly an hour and was told that the steak was as I had requested, but I pointed out that another of the group had ordered the same meal and was happy with the steak which looked much better than mine. I was offered another meal or a complimentary drink, both of which I refused. Will not be going back.

My gammon was well cooked and hubby enjoyed knicking so of that as well. I've decided I'm not a fan of chorizo but I still enjoyed the chicken pie and its savoury mash. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden was a joy. Bright and colourful - with covered seating, a small pagoda, summer houses and general seating. We didnt sit inside but it looked cosy. Went for dinner on our last night on the canal. We booked after having a drink in the garden that afternoon and recounting our bad experience at The Bridge the night before to the Waitress, who was quite scornful of their rival, and promised a far better culinary experience. Well, she couldn't have been more wrong.. service was slow which was odd as it didn't seem busy. I had the "special" - chicken and chorizo pie, which arrived as a thin broth under some puff pastry with lumpy mash. My wife had the other "special" - pea risotto, arriving as a solid congealed mass, which would have been quite good for repairing any holes in the boat. To be fair, Craig agreed he wouldn't eat it either, didn't charge us and was quite apologetic, citing an order for 50 burgers from the local football team as having caused the kitchen meltdown. We finished our drinks while ordering a Domino's

As there were 10 of us we were given 2 tables at the back of the pub overlooking the lovely courtyard - it was like our own private function room! The manager, Craig, served us and recommended the chicken and chorizo pie which my partner had and couln't stop talking about it! Two of the party had the fish which was enormous and all fish (unlike some places which are half batter). My partners son (a fussy 14 year old!) said it was the best fish and chips he'd asked and asked if we can go back there! I had the steak with the best peppercorn sauce I have ever had. The drinks were constantly flowing and we never had to repeat our order.I want to say a huge thanks to Craig and his team for the wonderful service and hospitality we had. We were regularly checked on and asked if we required more drinks etc. Infact the waiting staff were fantastic start to end.I’m so glad we found this. 2 rounds of drinks and 4 meals were £65. Izzy and Kiera were very helpful and friendly, especially given it being very busy (first Saturday after lockdown).£10 Hunter's Chicken, tasty and succulent, good size, the herby cubed wedges accompanying it were also lovely.£15 BBQ Rack of Ribs and Cajun Chicken, this meal is the same as the £10 Rack of Ribs but with the addition of 'Cajun Chicken', unfortunately not worth the additional £5, the breast was a standard size but it seemed to be cooked plain with some Cajun seasoning sprinkled on afterwards. However, the rest of the meal was brilliant, the ribs were flavourful and tender, and the accompanying chips and coleslaw were also tasty. The beer garden is lovely, plenty of seating, heaters in certain spots, assigned smoking area for people who want a table, a pint and a smoke.

We were served by Izzy and Kiera, they were both very pleasant and friendly, and they were both so patient with us even though they were so busy. Both assets to the team, big well done to them, hope they both got a free drink at the end of that shift.

Went in the afternoon for some drinks in the sun. The staff were clearly very busy all day, but did not let the quality of service slip at all. We were served by Kiera and Izzy (the two we got the names of at least) who were friendly and attentive throughout. The food was delicious and the outdoor seating was very welcoming after more than a year of being closed. Would definitely go again.

Called in on spec and received a warm welcome from the very polite staff. The Navi offers a 5,10 and 15 pound menu which is varied and offers very good value.I chose lasagne from the tenner menu and my better half the burger from the fiver. Have to say they were both good and were served with excellent fresh salad. (other pubs take note).Couple of pints and a good lunch in safe clean surroundings. We liked it so many thanks to the Navi, we will return.

Went here for a pre Christmas meal with family. The service and food quality was excellent. The COVID precautions made us feel safe and the distancing between tables enabled us to enjoy our meal without any concerns. The menu is also very good with prices set at £5 £10 or £15 with an excellent choice of meals. The beer garden has recently been renovated and now provides a lovely area for outdoor eating or drinks, with some tables under cover and heated.

Had Sunday lunch here today and what a Sunday lunch it was. The food was beautifully cooked and so much of it, the service was the right blend of friendly yet polite, whilst the xmas decor and ambience was spot on. We shall certainly be going back, couldn't recommend this place high enough.

We decided that with Lockdown pending, we wanted to support a local pub (not a big chain) with what could be our last Sunday meal out for a while.Arranged our booking on the morning, and were given a slot on that afternoon, very good service. The menu had a good selection to choose from, and was reasonably priced. The only slight grumble was having to ask for the kids menu and not being advised that there was one initially. However, all staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food arrived quickly and was hot and freshly cooked. 2 adult Sunday roasts, with seasonal veg. Delicious. The kids went for Sausage and Chips. Have to say the kids meals were also great. Thick chips and the sausage was obviously good quality, none of the frozen "value" sausage other establishments serve. We were all more than happy. We went for desserts, and despite a short wait, the quality again was excellent. All of the food has a quality "home cooked" look and taste, which is just what we love. Thanks to all the staff for the friendly welcome. The COVID procedures were excellent. And the decor and interior of the pub is great. The garden also looks worth a visit during sunnier months too.An excellent family meal, and we'll definitely be back, once we are allowed to!

Had a brill night, the restaurant is very welcoming as were the staff, there's a reduced menu, as there are at a lot of restaurant's now a days, but there's still a good selection, and at reasonable prices. The pate starter was very good, as were the steaks. A lovely night and we won the quiz night, won a meal voucher, which will make our return even more enjoyable.

We had lunch here after a walk along the pretty canal. Since we had a little dog with us we sat outside in a little wooden chalet in the well kept garden. I had fish & chips with garden peas, and my friend chose the fish cake. The food was hot and tasty. But the service we had from Jordan was first class. He offered to bring the dog a bowl of water, adjusted the heater so that it was directed toward us, he used his initiative explaining changes due to Covid, and attended to us throughout our meal. He was courteous, pleasant, and professional. A very nice chap. Thank you very much.

Popped in on a whim after visiting Coughton Court. Felt Covid safe throughout with plenty of room between dining tables. Menu was varied and our choices of curry and pie of the day were great. Service spot on. Would recommend to friends and will return.

We googled a nice pub to come to and found the Navigation Inn. Thought we would give it a go and we were so glad we did. We hadn't booked but we're impressed with being able to get a table even though it looked quite busy. There were plenty of people at tables but the atmosphere was really cosy and chilled. We sanitised our hands on way in and the waitress asked us (and everyone that came in after us) to check in on the track and trace app, which we liked. We all had the pie of the day which was lamb and rosemary, with chips. Oh my god it was so so tasty, the meat was soft and tender and the sauce and veg were lovely. Unfortunately we dug straight in and I'm gutted we didn't take a picture to show it off.

After a long walk lunch at the Navigation Inn on the old Warwick Road at Lapworth was a really pleasant experience. As it was a nice day we gave the restaurant a miss and opted for a table outside alongside the canal.Corvid precautions were in full flow although we were surprised to be able to order meals at the bar whereas many pubs recently have insisted we find a table and they will come and take our order.A really good menu and a chef who knows how to please. The owners said he has been there for three years - they need to hang on to him because all four of us had nothing but praise for the menu selection and the quality of delivery. A very helpful team and most enjoyable. There is a very big awning covering half the lawn which allows for a larger number of tables to be used outside in wet weather. We felt the menu and drinks were fairly priced. Certainly on the list for a repeat visit.

We ate dinner here since we were commencing a canal boat holiday at the nearby wharf. It's a lovely pub and we felt that dining here was the best possible start to our short holiday. COVID risk reduction measures were very good. It was a quiet night, not an eat out to help out night, but anyway we had a reservation. We were given a warm welcome as we entered. Three staff took it in turns to take our order and serve food and drinks. They knew their stuff and quickly answered our queries about the menu. Throughout the evening the staff were attentive, engaging, charming and radiating smiles. Well done team! The menu was simplified due to these COVID times but still offered a good choice of interesting options. Choices were grouped into sections costing £5 / £10 / £15 per head and offered excellent value for money. I was impressed by the menu. Service was prompt and when the food came it not only looked great it was a real treat, even for the fussy eater in my family. All-in-all our visit was everything we'd hoped for and more.

Yes the service is a little chaotic but more importantly I think it’s the food that lets it down. It’s just normal run of the mill pub food. Was my duck breast worth the £15.00 , no I don’t think so. However it was very busy, it’s just not for me.

We come here for the 10/10 food and to see the legend Tony! What a lovely gentleman who can’t do enough for you. He deserves all the credit he gets in the reviews and more. Always comes over for a chat and makes you feel so welcome. Thanks again Tony! :)

We went to the Christmas Breakfast with Santa, and left feeling a little disappointed tbh. Whilst the Santa, Grotto and Elf were really good. The breakfast itself was so small. We also had to request our toast, which came 5 mins after our breakfast and we had 6 half pieces, to share amongst 5 adults and 4 kids! For a cost of over £150, it wasn't great.

A cute pub in an idyllic setting with friendly staff but the roast was extremely disappointing. We had the pie and all the trimmings which were clearly Aunt Bessie & frozen veg/pre cut and heated again. We didn't stay for pudding and won't return to eat. This is not home cooked food.
